    Dammm.. this is my 2nd bag of pop corn lol hahhaaaa.. I cant get enough good info, str8 simple and direct. My little civic needs some love now. :D with this suspension set up strictly for the track circuit. This car can't go to regular streets because the roads conditions are not smooth like the tracks, most street roads bumps, pot holes, uneven roads, lots of wear, and the suspension spherical designs won't last for a daily drive out on the streets but for track yes it will cus track roads gets maintenance constantly.. . Have this civic in this video drive down here in Miami Florida... man horrible roads, painful if you are lower than 4inch.. driving around. In here more guys on bags dropping for parking and raising for driving around, there is a reason :D .. .

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  7 месяцев назад +2

      Hey! Thank you and hope everything is well with you too. That’s a good question! If the car is still being driven on roads then I wouldn’t go full spherical. What you can do is a hybrid like you stated. The most important bushings you want as a spherical is going to be the front compliance and main rear trailing arm.

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  Год назад

      Timken has been proven to be a good option for track cars. US made (most of the time, they have several plants), one of the top bearing manufactures in the world since WW1, and more cost effective than OEM units. I am swapping out these exact bearings in the video this month, after two seasons of track time. Not because they are failing, but just as a precaution. I’ve yet to have any issues with them!

    First of all, so much time and money into these proper track ready suspension parts! How long do these spherical bushings/bearings last? I actually have some in my S2000 for both front and rear sway bar links and I had mine bind once. So I was just curious of your experience on them?

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  Год назад

      Yes, a lot of money 😭😫 lol
      I suppose it really depends on the quality of the bearings. My rear toe arm bearings (PCI) went out after a season of tracking, roughly 10-12 track days. My front UCA bearings got real sloppy after one season as well. However this time I upgraded the front UCA bearings to Kingpin Machine replacement bearings.

    How would you describe the change in the car's behaviour due to the spherical bearings? For a street car? Poly has it's issues..

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  2 года назад

      Very responsive compared to a rubber/poly since you don’t have to worry about deflection. You maintain better suspension geometry because everything stays as it should. They’re definitely not recommended for street use since they’re louder/clunkier than rubber/poly and really have no form of protection from the elements since the joint isn’t protected by a boot of any sort. Highly recommended for the track, but not for the street.

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  3 года назад

      Good question! With so many options out there it can be tough deciding what to go with. I typically look at what most other people are using and how successful they’ve been with the parts. Since it’s a track car, I look to all of the guys that have built their cars for the same reason or even more extreme and get feedback off of them. Guys like Eric Kutil who is always on podiums run a lot of this stuff. Same with a bunch of other builds in the wheel to wheel and time attack world. These parts have been tried and tested. Hope that helps!

      The car didn’t have any brake lines on the firewall when I bought the shell, so I had to build all of it.

    You can run your PS like that?

    • @bvspeed
      @bvspeed  2 года назад

      If the seals are still in the power steering rack, this is the preferred method because it'll keep the rack lubed and the reservoir will bleed the high fluid pressures to prevent the seals from blowing out.
