I love the httyd books to pieces! The humor is so dry and amazing. I also highly recommend the audio books read by david tennant. He brings the characters to life beautifully and manages to give everyone a unique voice!
He he, I discovered them first as recordings, and I've listened through them three times 😁 The voices are amazing! It cool to find other people who've found these gems!
Agreed! Toothless' little voice is adorable. I absolutely love the movies too but the book characters are just oozing with personality and the descriptions of the enviroment get me every time. The author nailed the idiotic humor of the vikings and the little running gags of them always doing a weird pointless yet deadly activity for fun while hiccup and fishlegs are just dying inside. Not to mention the main villain getting slowly more disfigured in every book. It's written in such an absurd and hilarious manner. I could honestly go on for hours about how entertaining the (audio)books are
I can't argue with that; he did a brilliant job of it, and I cannot read a line from the books without hearing it in his voice! By far my favorite audiobooks!
We don’t get enough Book!Hiccup anymore!
You said it! The books are so underrated!

Glorious.
I maintain that the HtTYD audiobooks where David Tenant's best acting role by an order of magnitude.
