  • Alright, about time I got this video posted! I built these sconces for Escape Brewing in Trinity Florida about a month ago,, but I wanted to hold off until they were installed. I'm also doing some hanging wooden keg chandeliers for them(which should be up in the next week or two)

      Welding produce a lot of Uv. I really love his work but I really don't understand why he don't but heavy gloves and leather stuff.

      Bernard Paris I've suffered from a few "sunburns" due to not wearing leather jackets and a glove or two

      Bernard Paris - IMO although he was welding, he was wire feed welding and you could tell in the video, even though it was sped up, that he was not continuously welding on it but it was more spot welding the joints together after he had tacked them in place.

    Well, now I have to build myself a shop and teach myself how to blacksmith. I wasn't expecting to see hand fabrication of nails. The best part is that you are doing it in shorts and AllStars. Fantastic. Subbed.

      I have bought mine here tudoandco(dot)com/collections/edisonbulbs. You could also try Heals(dot)com and search for long filament bulbs, I hope that helps.

    Outstanding. I'm not a metalworker, so I will tweak your idea and make these with black iron pipe, and reclaimed wood for the panel. Maybe even do the "shou sugi ban" burn technique for the wood. Thanks for the inspiration!

I work with wood, metal, and leather myself...this is on my to do list now (after my wife's honey-dos).     You, sir, are a madman! ... in a mad-scientist kind of way. Everything fab'd from scratch, even the nails. You did cheat on the wood stain, though, I don't think you made that from scratch.

      Always good to hear Danimal! Nope--I didn't make my own stain this time around--although I have experimented with vinegar & steel wool, coffee, tea, etc. The finish on the console table I'm about to release later this week is sort of interesting as it involves a tar burner :)
