After all the years I've followed you, Arlo, and your music, somehow I missed this song! I am blown away by the feelings it evokes in me, and the soaring inside as if I'm floating on air. Thank you, it is a wellspring of emotion and joy in one song!

Hale‘iwa. In the Māori language of New Zealand (closely related to Hawai‘ian), this would be Wharekiwa. Hale/whare means "house". I understand ‘iwa is Hawai‘ian for 'frigatebird'. 'Kiwa' in Māori is the name of a god of the ocean. The Māori name for the Pacific Ocean is Te Moana Nui a Kiwa - the Great Sea of Kiwa.

Well...I can't see it on his music anymore; maybe I'm looking in the wrong place...there were 4 songs; now there are 3.
A few nice chords do not a song make. Endless repetition with only slight variations doesn't do the trick. There is no development. A song needs to tell a story. It doesn't have to be with words. It can do that with a series of musical steps that carries it forward. There is no such thing here. It starts great but after about a minute, it gets boring.
I love this music. As Thumpers daddy said "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
