I was laser focused on the tumbleweed. Didn't even notice the other cars until the text said "they pulled over into the parking lot" and I went back to look for a second batch of brush.

Look at the pavement markings. The truck cut it pretty close.
I argue the distance looks further because that's often the case with dashcams. It looked pretty close but honking 3-4 times didn't do cammer any favors.

3. When you see a fire truck with sirens, but there is a sale at your favorite shoe store.
Funny, but they probably didn't see the fire truck, as it was just pulling out as they were passing by. There would have been nowhere to pull over and stop so quickly, so they just rationally proceeded.

And it was halfway into the street BEFORE they got there. They just couldn't be bothered to slow down or stop.

@@mvpfocus If she could see the fire truck well enough to swerve around it, she could see it well enough to stop. You would have to be both legally blind and deaf not to see or hear a giant red truck with flashing LED lights all over it and an air horn and siren blasting away. She is a typical 'I swerve, but I never brake' type of driver. The type like who when another driver pulls out in front of them well ahead, refuse to apply their brakes and instead illegally pass that vehicle on the shoulder or over the yellow line.
@@mvpfocus She had a very clear line of sight of the fire truck from the second the clip started. The only thing between her and the fire truck was one very small street tree. The fire station is clearly designed to give drivers a good view from both directions.
That dude on the bike shows how important it is to wear a helmet. I see so many riders, mostly old dudes on Harleys, not wearing helmets because they think it won't happen to them.
I thought for sure that he was concussed the way his head hit the car.
4 accidents later yea, not a harley rider but wear a helmet, i got rear ended at a stop light by a lady at 35 mph full back bend back of the helmet left a dent on her hood and i got yeeted 10 feet in the air doin a front flip and landing flat on my back head didnt hit pavement
It's not that they don't think it'll happen to them. It's that if helmets save lives, but grow vegetables... we'd rather die.
Sadly, it's a bit of a double edged sword with helmets. People often die, because of the helmet. I knew a guy who always wore a helmet when he rode, until he got hit and his helmet came off and immediately imploded. Had his head been in it at the time, it would've gone into his skull. After that, he decided to take his chances without one.

24. Cammer's attitude of "I won't budge" despite being the one who has to merge and therefore yield to the traffic in the left lane is what causes the majority of road rage. People think they are weak for yielding for some stupid reason in this country.
It's also not okay to cram yourself into the bumper of the car ahead of you to box out somebody trying to merge, it's a cooperative action.

His only legitimate complaint was that the truck never signaled the intent to enter his lane.... there was plenty of room for him to change lanes safely, and he did so, but a signal to let you know would have been good. Then his honking triggered the road rager driving the truck, who then nearly sideswiped him as his "retaliation" for the honk, followed by another honk as he turned. Two morons triggering each other.

2:57 Probably one of the few instance in which it's better to stop and waive traffic on because you are now controlling the only lane left that has traffic which could hit them, and waiving them on would end the backup behind you, preventing possible collisions. And considering it was an already confused person, blowing the horn was less than helpful here.

People in the comments need to keep in mind these cameras aren't meant to be 100% distance accurate, more to pick up as much as possible. Things seem closer or farther depending on a variety of factors, from brand, to model, to settings, etc. Speed and how much room/distance things seem are the biggest elements that can be a bit misleading for sure.

Looks like the blue car was speeding and the silver car overestimated the time the blue car would arrive. The blue car must have veered into the oncoming lane instead of slowing down, because the silver car stopped just past the double yellow line. Too bad the blue car didn't commit to his decision pass in front, but rather return to his proper lane.
This whole scenario could have been avoided if either a) blue car committed to his decision. b) blue car slowed. c) blue car didn't speed. d) silver car committed to turn. e) silver car just waited.
Looks like the introduction of two impatient drivers.

If you referring to the accident at 5:58, that is a sport bike, not a scooter. As far as helmets, not all states require them, and the "Bikers" in the states that do often just wear DOT beanies. A beanie is no better than the bandana/rag some wear; while weaving through traffic-splitting lanes. At least a motorist can hear them coming from a mile away. PS corrected for spelling...😉
