  • If y’all have seen the Live videos, then you know how far along this thing is! Here’s the video of the final stages of the whole process! We decided to name it the Catfish Cabin! It’s not quiet a houseboat because it doesn’t have everything in it to be legally called a houseboat, it’s a covered pontoon boat! Turned out great I think!
    Preciate y’all!

Put a GPS tracker and home alarm system on there , also a solar pannel so you got allways enough electricity for small things like chargeing phones and laptops and stuff

Southern life - work hard but efficiently so you can slow down and live in the moment.
For marine trailers, you can remove the cap and install a bearing buddy. They enable you to grease the axles at the end of your day on the water. They’re usually not cost prohibitive. They’ve been a recommendation to all my marine trailer customers for years.
    Love the project!

Lookin' GOOD !! Inside that closet, two 5 gals buckets. One with a Lugable-Loo toilet seat on it, the other one with a lid, full of sawdust. Put a plastic liner inside the bucket, scoop some sawdust on top after taking care of bidniz and seal up the bag. Another plastic liner in place for the next person. GTG... no lingering smell, no chance of "spillage", stays clean... and just empty the bucket full of sealed up trash liners into a contractor bag and dispose of it. Now, a feller could get full-on fancy and frame it in with 2x2s and scraps of wall covering material so the bucket sits solid to the floor... add a PVC pipe up and out near the ceiling... and install a computer cooling fan inside, run off a tiny battery and solar panel.

Hi Jeff. The weight of the 80 pound concrete buckets above water 80 pounds. But in water it's less. Fresh water weights 8 pounds per gallon and salt water weights 8.5 pounds per gallon. So the water displaced by the concrete bucket is 40 pounds. So your 80pound bucket of concrete on land weights in at 40 pounds in the water. If you have steel or iron in the buckets it's heavier in the water. I love your video's and the time that you spend making them man. Thanks again for them Jeff and Hannah ❤

Jeff you and Hanna did an awesome job, I don’t know anyone that can work as fast as you. I live in Ontario Canada in a little City called Pembroke (on the Ottawa River) there as a lot of house boats like this one, some even have decks on the roof. Back 20 years a buddy had one and we would pull a SeaDoo behind for when we wanted to go for lunch or anything we would anchor the boat and take the seadoo. Keep the videos coming 👍

I know you tested it now and don’t need the 55gal drums on the sides. Maybe you could do a front tech extension and once you park clip that in with the 55 gallon drums as floats. You could probably do a 4-6 foot extension on those.
Another option for the top if it breaks would be to cut that 10 back to the cabin edge and seal it and you could just put another board up there and use canvas or a soft top to go out just leave it off till you park. Make it like a transformer boat that’s assembled once you park it you could get an extra 6 foot deck on there and have a canvas shade roof over it. That would give you plenty of room for forfive people out there and your fryer and a place to clean them. There are lots and lots of options you could even just hinge the floor extension and roof extension and have it fold down for trailering to protect the front from rocks and wind blasts.
It looks great! Now you need to come up with a great name, “Cat Noodles” or something like that.
