I love the irony that, by swapping out the standard packaging for the "As seen in" custom packaging, they're actually making this even less accurate to what the characters would have eaten than if you'd just ordered the normal meal.

Yeah I have had some serious disagreements with some of his reviews. He'd have to answer some questions.
25 years ago this would have just been an “As seen in” promotion with reprinted cups and stuff that everyone gets with every meal. I miss when promotional packaging on fast food was a freebie.

yeah i love me a big mac or two for lunch i work across the steet from mcdonalds and i eat big macs like every day lol but i usual get a side of 10 peice nugs with a side of ranch to and i usually order 3 mcdoiubles to eat when im at work when the boss isnt lookin lol sometimes i dont finish my nugs so i put em in a plastic baggy and put em under my desk so i make sure to keep a bottle of hidden valley ranch in my desk for dipping em another good place is taco bell go there and order 3 beef burritos but tell them no rice extra beef extra cheese extra cheese sauce and extra sour cream and then ask for a side of cheese sauce to dip em in and grab some mild sauces and its heaven really beefy n cheesy n creamy and another good place is pizza hut cuz they have pizza hut melts now and you can get like a pizza sandwitch and just ask for a few sides of ranch and some cheese crumble things to put in it and ask for the peperoni and cheese one the other one sucks and doesnt taste as good just wanted to give yall some tips on how to order good food
My favorite part of mcdonalds is that you feel like you have echolalia when you order. My brother has it, so when he keeps saying "mick" it makes sense to workers.

Every time they’ve brought out a new sauce it’s been a huge hit. We all remember the Rick and Morty incident. We all remember how successful the BTS meal was. But they can’t even be bothered to have a rotation of unique sauces for these let alone make any new ones.
They add new stuff like a milkshake or special sauce
that's basically what the Grimace meal was too, except you basically got no drink since it's hard to wash down nuggets or a burger with a blueberry milkshake
The best thing McDonald's ever did was a couple years ago when they had the International Menu. It was various items at McDonalds from different countries, and they were all pretty good and I personally find the differences between the menus in different countries interesting so seeing some of that stuff was cool. The Stroopwaffle McFlurry in particular. Now all they do is slap stuff they've always had on their menu together is call it new. Laziness at it's peak, and they have the audacity to get more and more expensive while the portions get smaller. Now I just go to Wendy's.

ReviewBrah would have to sign on, so they could use his likeness. However, it would also come with a non-disparagement clause, which ReviewBrah wouldn't agree to. I wouldn't be surprised if he has been approached with these kind of tie-in deals, but has turned them down because he cannot review them fairly.

What is so sad is that McDonald's CAN do really inventive meals. Just look at what they do in Japan for example with Big Mac's that have 6 patties or offering fried shrimp. Heck, they even have poutine on the menu in Canada. In the USA, the corporate heads are just lazy and don't care.
It's because they cater to local tastes some places instead of trying to shape them... they have lobster on the East Coast instead of Chicken McNuggets, for example. (At least they did when I was out there in 1988...)

At first because I enjoyed a quick energy drink at work when coffee wasn't available and later for food reviews which were honest, informative and entertaining. FYI in Korea, McDonald’s invent new menus month my month in cooperation with local specialties over the country. Although those menus can be quite experimental, watching how the original US Mc goes I am thankful for my regions’ Mc.
Is that why our McD's are so boring? Other fast food places come out with new foods all the time. It's like our McD here spends all this money testing items and has one new item a year that usually fails instead of just rolling it out

I was Ronald McDonald's helper back in 1975 when I was 16 years old and was paid $4.40 for 2 hours of work. I should have been paid as an actor that day not a minimum wage employee.
You're totally right about the repackaged meals and that there is nothing new going on there. McDonald's marketing research department knows the top selling items and keeps repackaging them. Social media hype and FOMO keeps folks coming back for more.

In Chicago, the meal costs around 9-10 dollars depending on the restaurant. What interests me is that the McDonald's headquarters prices this meal at the exact same price as their regular Big Mac/Quarter Pounder/10 piece nuggets. So yeah, other states are overcharging this meal.
Franchises can dictate prices to a point, personal experience I've been to one McDonalds for breakfast and another a month later a few miles away and the same items I ordered were eighty cents more.
Yeah my local mcdonalds is ridiculous. For example large fries are 5.99, cheeseburger combo is 10.99. Big mac and wuarter pounder are 13,14+ for mediums.
9.49 near me which is funny because if use the app, I can get a medium fry for free, a big Mac for 5.19, any size soda for 1.19, and multiple "loki" sauces for free.
@@SpeedyDePalma One location near me charges $2.39 for a McDouble. Another one five miles away charges $2.89. Almost everything on the menu is at least $.50 more.
How on earth can they charge $14? $6 for the burger, $5 for med. fries and $4 for a medium coke? Ridiculous! I remember when I was 19 and worked in a fancy, high end restaurant, you could buy 2 red snapper dinners with salads for $12!
I wish Reviewbrah would review Snoop's Munchie Meal. Not only does it have a unique sandwich, it also has a new dessert. it's a celebrity-branded meal that actually has something special to it.
If they are just going to repackage then the least they could do is offer a special INTRODUCTORY price that is a DISCOUNT to the regular meal price and hope for INCREASE sales of the MEAL combo.
As a former McDonald's manager, I cringed so hard when I saw the fry box wasn't filled all the way. The fry design printed on the inside of the box is supposed to be completely covered, that's how you know you've put enough fries in. Always ask for more if they didn't do it correctly! Also if you ask for fries no salt, they have to make you a fresh basket. Just ask for salt on the side if you want 😂
they don't make them fresh anymore. they'll just throw them back in the fryer wait like half a minute or so and then slap some salt saves what one minute?

Here in Canada at least, the procedure manual at the time I was working said if a customer asks for fries without salt, you have to drop them a fresh basket of fries because the fries in the heating bin are already salted. So there's no way of doing it otherwise. I still get my fries done this way when I order 🤷🏻♀️
Or you can just ask for cook to order? Or to make them so theyre hot? That way you dont have to add salt because its def not the same

If you want to guarantee fresh fries, ask for no salt because they don't have any other way to make it. But whatever works for you 😊 Just sharing some tips from my time in McHell lol
You are right, this was such a dumb idea it's hard to believe they even tried to pull it off. I guess they're happy , they got their little price increase in place , and that's what it's all about these days, money and not much else. Same with these Limited Time items, like McRibs. What's the point when they come back with it time after time. I guess it's just a ploy to beef up sales by advertising it will only be around for awhile. Beats me.

McRibs are a bad example. They were originally introduced in the 70s as a regular menu item, but were very unpopular. It only became popular when they introduced the "limited time" gimmick, something that every other fast food place has copied since.
It’s the same price as the regular meal here. It’s $9 plus 30% off if you use the app. Not a bad deal but still a dumb idea.
I don't eat at McDonald's very often but I do like their food from time to time. I like dipping my Big Mac in sweet and sour sauce. I also like dipping my fries in tartar sauce.
You could add the fish fillet on a Big Mac instead of the beef and substitute the special sauce for tartar sauce, that is a hack I haven't seen done. You could always add the chicken patties and then add BBQ sauce to the top and add mayo to the bottom instead of the secret sauce, that is a hack I haven't seen yet.

I can go to our local VFW and get a hamburger French fries and a beer 12.00. The hamburger is from the local butcher shop across the street. I can’t believe people still eat this stuff when it’s cheaper to eat at home.

I definitely agree with you on this one. The only times I can see repackaged meals being okay is when they add new items. But even then, I usually don't think they're worth the price.
For me any price is a reasonable price because I can't go a day without my big mac and supet wapper.

Where I live it’s slightly cheaper(a few cents) to get the “As featured in” combo vs the regular.
For example a large Big Mac combo is $10.79, while the special packaging one is $10.69. They’re both the same price for the Med size. I’ll take those 10¢. 😂

At my local Mcdonald's a medium QPC meal costs $9.39. The 'As Featured In' QPC meal costs $9.59 at the same Mcdonald's. Such a sneaky and greedy way to make a couple extra cents every order.
EDIT: The 10pc nugget As Featured In meal is actually close to a dollar CHEAPER than the regular 10pc nugget meal. So now I'm really confused on what they're doing...
As features nuggets are freezer burned/ready to expire/look funny...

This makes me so glad and happy I do not frequent McDonald's for anything other than their breakfast menu. Of course, I only indulge myself for breakfast when I'm traveling on vacation. Which is at most, once a year. Everyone do yourself a favor - buy some locally grown & processed beef and make your own burger. You'll realize what you've been missing all these years. $14 for this meal is almost highway robbery.
You could get a larger burger meal from an actual dine-in restaurant for less. They are going insano style at mcdonalds HQ

The price of the “meal deal” is actually about 50 cents cheaper than the regular one. I guess like you said and I’ve seen. Prices vary by area.

A McDs had the sauce out early. Guy comes behind me like... Can I get the Loki Sweet N Sour instead of this one? Starts taking pictures of the sauce and his meal. I bet to the caption... "Got the new McDs meal a day early!" He, in fact, only got the sauce early. The rest of the meal has been available since the inception of the Big Mac

I've noticed that pretty much every fast food place gives you MASSIVE cups these days and a small is more akin to a medium and so on. No wonder diabetes and obesity are so prevalent these days. People are drinking hundreds or thousands of empty calories and fucking up their systems with constant blood sugar spikes. Then they eat the junk that McDonald's employees put together which is basically more sugar and salt with some worthless iceberg lettuce and GMO fillings all inside an ultra-processed bun that can't even qualify as actual bread.
People actually believe that this is actual food which is the crazy part. A cup of broccoli provides more vitamins and minerals than everything on the McDonald's menu combined.

This meal is $9.14 where I live which is just a bit more than the normal meal so not too terrible if you want unique packaging lol
