The hardest thing in life isn’t getting what you want; it’s deciding what you want. Maybe “want” is a bastardized term that has become more synonymous with things that we “would like” instead of being a word used to describe that which we obsess over and are willing to dedicate illogical time and irrational effort to. We could instead choose to use the word “need,” but drama is for the dramatic, and we very well know the brief list of items that sustain life; what we would die without. I will say this, though; if you’re going to stand a chance in hell of getting what you want, you had better feel like your life depends on it. With enough heart and some dirty hands, you might have a shot. #EvanCentopani #TheBuild #Bodybuilding
This guy is the real thing he never disappoints.
Muskeln-kaufen.de oh shush, he does it because 100% of the people in IFBB does it, and it’s part of the job.
They do it responsibly, they’re not abusing it and dying.
The ones that do abuse it, aren’t the pros.
If you have an attitude like that, judge people for drinking coffee. Caffeine’s a drug as well.
Great Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Chireetler Deepest Relaxation Rule (do a search on google)? It is an awesome exclusive product for learning to grow muscle fast minus the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate finally got amazing success with it.

Evan you are the best and your dad is a beast, fought through 6 years of cancer, im so happy for you and your dad! Wish you all the best!
A great bodybuilder, a great son, a great dad, a great cook. Evan C. - a great man.
Thank you Evan and Animal for posting this content. It is wholesome and good.. need more of this please.
One of the best videos I have ever watched!!! So much truth to it. Coop You need to visit this home gym!!!
Finally we get to se the HULK once again! Dude I’ve learned so much from you thank you 🙏. And can we please see more cooking videos 🤷♂️🙏
Awesome video. Love Evan. So happy to see that this isn't black and white too.
He saw the future that gyms are going to be closed due to coronavirus.
"What a Legend"
Were you a welder? Iron worker? or sheet metal worker?
Making your own equipment, repairs, etc is the best way to live.
Evan, where have you been man, been waiting for new VLOGS
old school is awesome.
This is fucking beautiful in every way
You one of my favorite body building dudes-
That’s exactly how I plan on building my home gym. I grew up in gyms like you describe as my dad was a competitive bodybuilder in the 80s
Bring the cooking with Evan back. Miss his fresh veggie and herb creations. Glad to see your still using your creative talents.
Oooo yes or his Steak grillin!
please, we want evan back at it!
Agreed. Cooking with Evan was a solid ass series and he cooked healthy af too. Talked about fiber, magnesium, turmeric, other herbs and combining with meat and food for taste and health.
Zach Ary you’re
Anything he does makes sense, it’s simple and straight forward. Guys a beast and respectful and a great speaker🔥
He’s built like gears of war character but real life.
He doesn't need a neck day because he has no neck.
Textbook character look
He could’ve been Dom, rich piana could’ve been Marcus, Ronnie could’ve been Cole train
Yooo actually johnnie Jackson looks exactly like Cole train
Jay Turani hahaha
I love his calmness and search for meaningful paths in life. By far the most interesting Bodybuilder of our time.
@Muskeln-kaufen.de what drugs you talking about?
Even is a not a bodybuilding teacher. HES A LIFE COACH. This man could teach a fish to bench press, make it wanna grow a garden, and build a house. I love you man...
You’re a clown for this statement
“Evan is who you wish your dad was.”
-Luke Sandoe
James Hollingshead said that didn't he?
The all American man. A man's man.
Nrealiai pasportaves maladets taip ir toliau.
Evan is who my dad wish i was
Jeff Lewis damn this comment ..
You just cant hate on Evan, all round good and genuine guy!
Kamran Bird met his this past summer. Genuine dude!
Ima troll on him not wearing
Safety glasses he can get metal shaving in and that would suck😭😭
down to earth
Evan is such a good dude. I met him at The pool at Foxwoods in CT. He took the time out of his day to chat with me and introduce me to his family.
Very cool.
I love his mentality
Michael Gelsomini I bet it was a great experience. I’m only 1 state away from him, would be lucky to cross paths.
You should’ve asked him to do a cannonball 😂
He is such a nice kid
Dang man, when Evan was talking about his dad, not gonna lie, teared up just a bit.
Glad you pointed this out Anthony. I lost my dad when I was 2, never knew him. I have a 24 year old son, that would never have broke down like that. I've always been here for him. The way Evan was emotional, you would have thought his dad died, I'm so thankful that isn't the case and that Evan has that appreciation for his dad. It's awesome!
@@doug2993 you never really know till your in. the moment... something that hits your you realize what someone means to you
@@jeffdbmb Very true, thanks Jeff!
Same here!
Same here Anthony, that was deep! This was a great video, thanks Animal for sharing and keep up go the good work Evan Centopani
!
20:33 He cried just because his father always has his back!! damn I got emotional , following you since 2009 New York Pro show, brother you have inspired me since then!
Sina Shahriary Same here. He is more “alive” than any other bodybuilders. I’ve heard is the back on competing again hopes all the best.
It's a fantastic thing.
When he says “maybe I take that for granted” it hit me hard. I know exactly what he means. I’ve never seen him this vulnerable. I can relate. My father battled cancer for two years until he succumbed to his illness. This made me choke a bit. Such a wholesome story. Keep thriving Evan.
Unvek Oak it’s always humbling. Larger than life but he’s still human, he’s not afraid of his emotions.
He’s not a hardcore meathead... he’s just a guy who gets along with his dad and lifts weights.
The Animal and Universal guys are like that. Humble and real.
I never had a dad and envied situations like this so definitely don’t take it for granted
My dad passed away suddenly with brain cancer and lung cancer. He wasn't being honest with his doctor and hid it well. It's hard now hearing anyone speak on similar situations.
Choked me up too.. lost my dad 14 years ago. Miss him everyday still
My condolences to you all who lost your father's. Really makes me feel like a dick for not trying more to have a good relationship with mine....
Came to watch a bodybuilding video, left with so much more
Much respect to Evan. A bodybuilder, a family man, and a hard worker 👍💪
I’ve met guys like Evan’s dad. Those are the blue collar work horses who had trade skills in addition to smarts that made it easy for the next generations. Not many left.
Too bad... The world will miss that generation when its gone.
Only many, many millions.
I still dont get why nowadays blue collar are not paid so well over white collar. Blue collar has the most time consuming and physically intensive work. White collar had it easy and comfy and they get paid well? Why is society's reward system like that? I work in white collar environment btw.
Come to Australia boys - tradespeople earn around $70-150,000 a year. A high paying job and becoming increasingly higher in demand each year, it’s insane
@@GoldenTengu Union workers make a lot of money.
I love bodybuilding and I have been a machinist for 25 years. So this it right up my alley.
I’m a carpenter, I love his ability to work and progress a skill enough to build something of real value to himself
@Tony Soza I've been a machinist for just over 1 year now and Im liking it. I came from a background of working outside and although it may be tedious at times it's very rewarding in terms of creating things.
I got about half way through my college machinist education.... I need to go back and finish.
Same here im getting my education as a machinist/cnc operator.
MAN, EVAN IS THE REAL DEAL!! GROWS HIS OWN GARDENS, MAKES HIS OWN WEIGHTLIFTING EQUIPMENT... HE IS A TRUE INSPIRATION!!
Long time no see Evan, happy to see your video pop in the notification again!
I love how his fridge has drawings from his child all over it. He's an awesome bodybuilder AND an awesome dad
WE NEED MORE EVAN VIDEOS! THIS GUY IS SO INSPIRING AND SO KNOWLEDGEABLE! AND TELL HIM TO START POSTING ON HIS GODDAMN CHANNEL AGAIN LOL
Evan is just such a nice humble person.
Think it's an act personally. Never trusted him.
Eddie Bottoms why?
Love Evannn !! Animal is not a company, is a FAMILY ! 😍
Greetings from Romania ! 😍
This is the most beautiful piece of inspiration I’ve seen in years. Just beautiful.
That rack will stand in that basement forever... Good job Evan and dad..
Envious of his home gym, people nowadays don't know how to train, they have this bored, mopey, dopey look on their face where they're just going through the motions. Then they just sit there and text.
It's like, "Why are you even here?"
Still a fan, excited to hear your getting back into it.🤘🏼 2020 Evan 🤘🏼
Why does Evan hate eye protection? This is one of my favorite Animal videos to date - nicely done.
All you need is safety squints.
he said he doesn't really know what he's doing
id say he had to wear glasses as a kid and got teased
Evan is one of the best sports man, and role models out there. A true gentleman.
Evan made me think of my dad and what he has taught me about life and what wisdom he will leave me with. Thanks Evan.
*WOW. I really needed to watch this. I used to be a huge gym freak but ever since I got older I've just become lazy, not eating right, not working out. I'm 30 years old and I used to work out all the time from the ages 12-23ish is when I started to slow down and just stop caring how I looked. But for the past year I been debating whether or not, instead of paying money for a gym membership that I could just make my own little gym in my home. All I really need is a few flat weights, some dumbbells, a bar and what not. And after watching this video, I'm definitely going to follow through with my plans and get my body back in shape!!*
Possibly the best Animal vid ever. Well done.
WOW Evan you almost made me cry when you reached the point of talking about how your dad plays his part in supporting your goals and efforts and in life in general.... AGAIN WOW!!!!!
THAT IS REALLY SPECIAL and worthy of more than a few tears... wish I had that.
Hope your dad beats cancer for good ! Great sincere video , Evan is such an awesome guy !
I’m going to show this video to my sons, Evan is inspirational, not just body building, but his approach to all things.
Awesome job Evan, I lost my Father 9/7/07 from cancer I still miss him.
Dad has taught you well. Seeing dad work alongside you, brought a tear to my eye. God bless you and your family always!!
F**k man that was rough hearing him talk about his dad and watching him go silent knowing he was holding back. Yea that part hit home for sure. Evan is such a cool dude and great guy. I wish him the best.
He is so manly in every possible way lol 🤤
He is rite.i have a hme made gym here in jamaica..they use all these machines to build different body parts..i have a bench press two 45lbs r 50lbs hme made..and a abt 80 r 90lb curel br....just 4 tools am wrk all my body parts..i wrk all my body each time i wrkout..ppl see me tink am wrkout in a real gym..
I remember when Evan won the Eastern USAs in NY way back when, not sure what year that was but
his whole family was cheering him on, he was just so damn BIG and complete . I was competing in that show as a lightweight and met him a few months later at The Nationals, he was working with Dave Palumbo at that time, as was i . Such a genuine and overall nice guy.
Wish he would wear some safety glasses though, I’ve seen many guys get a sliver of metal in there eyes during my years in construction ...
God Bless, always great having Dad & son moments 🙏👍....enjoy your home gym
Evan and his dad are like my dad and me, shit pulled my heart strings. Solid video
Man, I don't know whether Evan is going to watch this or not but I really love watching him talk. He's always that calm and no matter how hard life can be I don't know I just admire him not losing his drive and his focus. So anyway I just want to say I wish you all the best in everything you do Evan and we all love you man. When you mentioned your father, it really touched me as well since I never had that with either my father or my mother. P.S. bring back the cooking videos
Does he have a RUclips channel?
Thanks
: )Tyler
Finally a video of yours!
Please, do more! 😁
Greetings from where you get your olive oil, Portugal! 🇵🇹♥️
Always loved this guy, very humble and down to earth.
This was a really cool video. Just wanted to share a little brosky. We live in Ohio, and my brother had this garage, our friend was a welder, and my bro was 22 and I was 13. We had a bench welded, along with a squat rack. All info we had was from muscle mags, but my bro played football for Otterbein, 6' 5" 280 natural guy. But I'm only 5'9 so weights were my way to get big and strong like my bro. There is nothing in the world like walked down to my bros house at 5 below, heating up the kerosene heater, warming up the bars so they were not to cold to grab, with our grungy missed matched, always dirty mirrors on the wall... I'm not like you, don't have those genetics like you, but have decent genetics. i'm 43 now, 5,9", I weigh 165 lbs, still hit the gym, and can right now bench 340lbs, squat well over 400 and can deadlift 500 on a god day. Yeah man, you vid reminded me of that... Cant ever really get that back. The good old days.
Awesome stuff man 👊
When the apocalypse hits Evan Centopani will be left standing
Home gyms ROCK!!! They always have!! Quality workouts....
Been following Evan for a couple of years now. He seems to me to be one of the most honest and genuine bodybuilders out there. Love his food videos and his training/diet advice is always spot on. I wish him well with his comeback and all the best with the upcoming competition. Great to see him back...
I pray for Evan. You're a good guy. Find yourself. Find Christ. I dare you bud
Awesome story.
didnt even know this guy was still around, remember watching him compete like 10 years ago or so
Lou ferrigno’s fathers basement was wood panel also.
BEEP! cancer, cancer is a LIE! read my other comments here in the comment section.
: )Tyler
Does Anyone Know if this guy has a RUclips channel?
Thank you
Evan and I went to the same highschool (I was 2 years ahead of him) and worked out at the same commercial gym that he first joined (Worlds). I didn’t know him very well personally, but we had a number of mutual friends and I can say he’s always been a pretty solid dude since HS. Glad to see not much has changed despite gaining so much popularity in the BB community.
Did he stand out as someone who had some kind of potential with bodybuilding to you when he really started getting into lifting? Like could you tell he had something different about him
PG BB absolutely, the dude was massive at 16-17 years old. Not surprised to see how far he’s come.
12:20 you should wear safety glasses
Safety first
Wow, always a safety Sally somewhere.
@No Go Let him be blind "real man"
No Go
Disagreed. If u get hurt it’s just a battle scar. If he loses an eye at least he knows he went through the pain and lived.
"then teamwork."
I'm more concerned about him wearing gloves while drilling.
Very inspirational video...i loaded my basement with equipment 14 yrs. ago and never looked back..freedom to do what you want..Are you still in NJ?
The part with his dad got me hard! I lost my dad when I was 7, damn can't even describe the feelings
Live to be the dad you always wanted...
Damn, 7 gauge? That's like Arsenal Strength's Alpha 7 power rack. That thing won't budge.
See..now this is what I'm talking about. There should be more videos like this. Bodybuilders in real life. Living and thinking and talking like the rest of us who will never know what that life is like. But we work, raise kids, live the best we can and love the iron just like the first time it bit us. I'll be 45 next week. I still try to hit it like I was 15. Reality I cant. But I dont love it any less. Evan, I wish all lifters were as genuine and honest as you man. Much respect. You're a good man, one that all new iron addicts should look up to.
So glad to see Evans dad doing well, I hadn’t heard anything about him for a while.
Do you know if he has a RUclips channel?
Thanks
: )Tyler
Tyler Murphy I’m
Not sure
@@p71josh Thanks.
If anyone reading knows please let me know
Thank you

Umm did everyone see that...? That was a real man doing man things. Like running a Bridgeport without safety glasses. Building traps that tough his ear lobes... East coast Animal right here son
Right in the feels when his dad was brought up like who can’t feel that I even choked up abit that home made gym looks awesome
Thanks Evan
The rack looks really nice
Maybe you can open a real old school gym equipment line
Maaaan if I had access to a machine shop like this theres so much gym equipment I would build, cheaper than buying it and if you know the thickness of steel to source and where to get it at a good price then you KNOW it's built to last.
Do you feel your injury gave you more patience to make your own rack etc.?
20:30 my man
That's what a father does, instills lifelong values which build character and can be passed down to the next generation.
It's vulnerable moments such as these, that one can peek into a mans soul and see his true heart.
We need more Evan Centopanis in the world.
Evan builds a power rack brilliant!!!! Great 👍 thanks Animal 😎
If it were me, I would have added to the dumbbells and barbell not the rack - as the range of motion will always be limited - but a decent leverage gym. Because it assimilates freeweight movement with the added benefit of being able to go as heavy as you wish without the need for any spotting. Really nice video though from a classy and real human being
What website can I got to to buy one of those custom racks with you and your Dads signature!? Great video man, my father died when he was 38 so this hit home for me..
Hi sir I like your bulking body Please what is your full day of bulking diet meal plan makes are videos please
My favorite company and my favorite body builder.
Super motivation
Awesome video, a bodybuildier who actually works and knows a trade, learning so much from these videos thanks bro.
This Is An Awesome Video Evan!!! It Makes Me Wanna Have My Own Home Gym Now!!💪 And I Understand Where Your Coming From! I Lost My Grandmother To Cancer When I Was Only 18, I Wish She Was Still Here...but I Know Shes Watching Me From Heaven;🙏 Keep Up The Great Work!💪
Thank you sir 😎 for this video . This video is very very motivational for me. Please keep posting 🙏 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Evan you are one of a kind in this industry ! I truly enjoy every video you put up . I have realized you don't put up videos just for the sake of popularity or filling a slot like others . Thank you so much for making videos like this .
Man, this is so cool. Evan is awesome.
Man where do i start or who knows if u even read this, but you knocked this one out the park!! From the basic basement to the machine shop it was all so REAL!! I have this machining background and love to train, but the 20 min mark got me deep. Cherish these times with your Dad and create those everlasting memories. My story is to long for this, but i can say its the total opposite of yours. May u continue a good relationship and wish u the best on all your endeavours!!
in every one of his vedio he change my prospective to things god bless you Evan
Is asking for steroids from someone at the gym the same as asking for a sponsor in AA? Asking for a friend.
Awesome Evan!! Lost my Dad just over a year ago to Parkinson’s. I think that’s very cool that you could share that with your pops. Keep doing it. Good luck in 2020!
No safety glasses... Tisk tisk! Great stuff regardless!
His home gym takes me back about 39 years ago when I was 11. Same fake wood panelling. Basic bench with old rusted weider plates and we had an old ugly red carpet. Oh the good ol days! Great video! I met Evan roughly about 5 or so years ago when he made an appearance at World Gym in Scarborough, Ontario. Super nice guy!
man evan what a amazing video
Use protection glasses and some water for cooling. Rpm is more or less ok...
It's really really impressive and Appreciated......I can say...its Awesome hardworking.....awesome result.....keep it up.....stay healthy forever bro..
Good hearted athlete. Great respect.👍
Evan MONSTER!!! 👊💪
People dislike his videos just for the sake of it, hes to cool of a guy to dislike
