Well my experience is all prisons disrespect human rights and they always put a scene on for visitors. I saw more people die in prison than the streets. Dying from simple ailments because of neglect and medical refusing to help. Remember what most people don't understand is prison is for removing people from society. That is the punishment. These federal inmates look well fed, they look clean with good hygiene, they are literally wearing make up. I believe food, a roof, medical and clean water is more than sufficient for people paying the debt to society that they were sentenced to pay for the crimes they committed.

What you don't understand prison is a punishment but when you are done with your prison term, you have paid your deb too society. You shouldn't have have trauma leaving prison it's meant so you can reflect on what you done so you can return as a valuable member to the community. If you can't afford bail, you may end up spending months or even years in prison before you're even tried, much less convicted. And even among those who are convicted, many each year are later released after either corruption or new evidence comes to light proving their innocence! Other countries that have an actual corrections system (which includes discovering what went wrong and FIXING it!) have decades of data showing lower operating costs, far lower recidivism, and lower crime rates overall. In other words, IT WORKS! The only reason we continue the system we have--which is more expensive, and disgraces us as a people--is revenge.
This happens in a lot of Prisons. Where people don't come to work so the prisoners don't get sometimes the Necessities that they should have like medical educational etcetera
