Another Megadeth request. I think we've ALL experienced one sided relationships or friendships with people who left when we needed them most. This is my first time hearing Megadeth In My Darkest Hour from the So Far, So Good... So What album.

💖You are lovable. You are valuable. You are worthy. Keep the mental health conversation going by sharing your story here in the comments. No matter where you are in your journey, you have a safe place here to share your struggles and accomplishments without judgment. This is how we shatter the mental health stigma.💖

This song is absolute metal beauty. Dave wrote this song after Cliff Burton died and his girlfriend at the time was not there for him so he fell deeper into alcohol and heroin use. I understand what Dave is saying and all the references to dying not going to a perfect world are metaphors for life without that person and the pain that came with it. You are so dependent on that other person that you have to be reborn mentally and start a new life. I’ve been there, and it’s the hardest thing to do and that is like Megadeths other song “The Hardest Part Of Letting is saying goodbye “ that song is also deep and helped me get through. Dave is the best example of that very thing. He went through the Metalica drama, ex girlfriend dramas, addiction, and he came out a better person. I got mad respect and love for Dave, such an honest and wise soul. I grew up a Metalica fan who hated Dave cuz well he was Dave and wasn’t Metalica anymore. I refused to hear Megadeth songs, until one day at a house party when the dude who owned the house put on Five Magics followed by The Conjuring and I asked who the F is that? And my friend said dude that Megadeth Dave’s band. I was shocked and the rest is history

Dave is the the best metal songwriter of my generation growing up in the 80's even my mother who was a teacher enjoyed his lyrics. I feel very lucky to have grown up with his music in my life!

Dave wrote this immediately after learning of the death of Cliff Burton. Amanda have you covered A Tout Le Monde? If I see ya in the front at a concert, I promise I'll be careful with my elbows! 🤘

I don't know why but, the line "time has a way of taking time" has always hit me ever since first hearing this song some 20 odd years ago.

Really was hoping you would get to this. Hey , next Megadeth you do , Tornado Of Souls would be fun to break down. Dave is a great songwriter.

My first cousin passed away at 37 in 2012. Had this played at his funeral as his last eff you to his cold, absent, cruel father.

This is another song that helped me along when I was younger. I appreciate you breaking down the lyrics, and I like watching you get surprised and enjoying the music! I'll suggest Cemetery Gates and Suicide Note Part 1, both by Pantera. Stay strong

Love your channel, it's really helping me go through a dark period in my life, you're wonderful with all your wise words, I think a great song that you need to hear is Wallflower from Jinjer, the lyrics are absolutely beautiful as she talks about her troubles with being an introvert and how it's an everyday struggle for her mentally.

I'm so glad you reviewed this song! One of my favorite Megadeth songs! According to the Behind the Music episode, Mustaine wrote the music once he heard of the passing of his former bandmate Cliff Burton. Keep up the good work and keep fighting the good fight! P.S. Sorry that I've been so distant!

I’m loving your analysis of metal songs. Certainly some of the lyrics of the song struck a chord with me. Love that video, looked like an awesome night.

Amazing song! And you have an awesome take on it :) that's the wonderful thing about music, it means what it means to you. Such heavy subject matter, but notice how everyone in the crowd is so happy. The beauty of music!

I have watched much of your content, as I stated I would. As a two time survivor, I really appreciate you for having the courage to share your story with the world in a way that sincere, loving, and healing. I recently turned 50, and we never had a platform like this. Content such as yours could have, in my humble opinion, changed, and perhaps even saved, many lives I saw fade away, including my own. I still struggle to this day, though I have a rather complete toolbox built at this point. Please don't stop. You make a difference. You are valuable, necessary, and loved. Thank you for your honesty and candor. They are refreshing. 👏👏👏
