I remember someone saying CD’s killed music because they made it easier to skip songs. When 8 tracks came out there was no fast forward or rewind, If the band only had one good song you had to drive around awhile till that good song came around again.Cassette’s had fast forward and rewind but it was still more work to skip and go back on songs than CD’s.

Ive had brilliant conversations over the years about that with friends and we all pretty much agreed that, Mustaine would more than likely have left MetallicA at some point anyway.
Maybe not during Kill Em All, but his own identity was forging itself via his own solo written songs, and the frontman within him anyway would have been dying to get out there and belt out the vocals and control himself. And all the better for it.
I think, that had he remained in the band, their personalities would have clashed like comets together anyway resulting in him eventually leaving to lead his own team. Mustaine and Hetfield were destined to be top tier metal frontmen with their own bands.

I was eleven years old when this album dropped. I first was turned on to Megadeth the year prior with “Peace Sells…”
It’s not an exaggeration to say that THIS song saved my life multiple times.
Still gives me goosebumps 37 years later.

My favorite songs of Megadeth. This song lyrics hits home to me. This is basically what my late mother was feeling towards my narc abusive estranged father her bad terrible husband who she tried so many times for his love and approval. I feel these words through my soul and sympathy for her.

This song is incredible and has a deep meaning behind it as it was written by Dave Mustaine for Metallica's bassist Cliff Burton who died in 1986 2 years before the album came out. This was written during his darkest hour when he hear the news about Cliff.

So he sings about an ex girlfriend that won't hold him and he calls her a bitch. I don't think this song is about Cliff dude.

Very much YES! Hook In Mouth was written as a protest against the PMRC who wanted to sensor every bit of music that was even slightly sexual, violent and/or "Satanic" that there was back in the 80's. It is amazing how the lyrics of that song are still relevant 30+ years later. Great song.

The drummer on this album was Chuck Behler, he and guitarist Jeff Young only appeared on this record. This is my favorite Megadeth record, because of its rawness, it was a transition time for the band following the firing of Gar Samuelson and Chris Poland. All around great record that doesn't get its respect among the great Megadeth records.

Megadeth is like Spinal Tap with drummers. They seem to have a new drummer every couple of albums. Chuck Behler, according to Wikipedia, was the drummer on this song.
