Austin's Games and he should. most games these days either try to be too real or too easy. or end up just being glitchy as fuck. Man, I long for a game on modern hardware where you CAN'T save. Or can, but just have to restart the whole game when you die. Hopefully the bitch-ass kid gamers these days could learn something instead of quitting any game that's "too hard". Don't get me wrong, I think saving is an awesome thing for games that are strictly story based or rpg's, but why can't I have a game like GoldenEye, where you have to do everything again if you fail and learn from your mistakes?
Remember that time where he was talking about Shadow the Hedgehog the game is too new for me? Heck what's even more weird is that you would expect him to just trash talk the game, but out of all the people he said it was average.

+Xion Productions Tron Bonne was super unique and imo, ahead of it's time. It was rare to play the 'villains" and doing crimes in video games. It was awesome you go to see more of the Bonne family, steal from a city, ruins, cargo bay and hilariously enough, a farm. Nothing made me laugh more than the Servbots going " It's a Piggie, a Piggie *Oink Oink!* !" Plus making your own personal Servbot team and training AND punishing them was just so unique and fun. Imagine if a sequel was made, where you got to design your own mechs fully, like those seen in the Legends game.
Did you know? Capcom's CEO can only achieve orgasm when a Mega Man game is cancelled. That's why they cancelled like, five of them in the past few years.
Those were kinda at bad times to be honest. Rockman Online was cancelled because they kept having disagreements with their korean collaberators, so both teams agreed to can the project. Mega Man Universe was cancelled for unknown reasons, but sorta glad they did, art was looking janky and weird. I can understand the gripe with Legends 3, but the other 2 was just bad timing at the wrong time.
God, I have so many good memories of Megaman Legends 1 and 2. Cancelling 3 and blaming the fans when it was Capcom's beef with Inafune that got it cancelled is why I have yet to buy a single Capcom title since.
I prefer the 64 version, the controls on ps1 just didn't feel right, and yes i did check the options menu, doing anything with precision simply didn't work for me. A run that would normally take me about an hour and a half in 64 took me about 6 or so on the ps1 counterpart, possibly longer.
This game made my childhood. I was sick very often when I was younger and this game always held a charm that would help distract me when I felt my worse.

azzzanadra You ask a good question- let me answer as best as I can. For a long time, the megaman games have taken a lot of fan input into making the games. In the classic mega man series, fans would actually submit designs for the robot masters in the form of mail-in contests. One of which would be chosen, cleaned up, and actually make it into the final cut of the game. In Mega Man Legends 3, they didn't do this with the robot master's designs, but with actual main characters! It was one of the most successful contests, and they finalized a secondary main character who would serve as mega man's support. I think her name was Aero, or something like that. Also, there was the game made by the team that made the Metroid Prime games. The Metroid games and mega man are somewhat similar in terms of gameplay. While metroid prime was not like the traditional metroid games, it was still widely praised and liked. The same team that worked on metroid prime was set to make a similar game in the Mega Man X series. If Metroid Prime was successful, why not this new game? There was no apparent reason to doubt that the new MMX game would fail. Then there's the Fan game, which was just a lot of fans putting together a TON of stuff that we love in the mega man series, and cramming all of it into ONE game. Who WOULDN'T love that? Plus, it was not for profit, so it wouldn't hurt Capcom- if anything, it'd only increase brand-awareness. And finally, there's Mega Man World- a game where you can literally make your own mega man levels. Fans were drooling themselves over this. Each of these games were liked and wanted. And some of them even had fan support from the start! Capcom cancelled them for no other reason than drama with Keiji Inafune.
herofromthedark hmm, interesting. a shame, let us hope that the directors for capcom change so we can have these games, or have nintendo buy megaman name.
I still want a MegaMan Legends 3. I know it's possible. Hell, it's only a matter of them getting the crew back together and digging up the bits and pieces of the game they had finished. If only Capcom weren't terrified of the ides of making a MegaMan game...
Blueneonkid With the technology of today, it would take more time to develop those games unless it was a 2D game of some sort and it was easier to reuse textures. Sigh. Although us not having any MM games is horrible, it is better than getting a new, possibly crappy game every year like a certain 9th blue mascot.
Amazing how our imaginations/false memories render the graphics so much better in out minds. dungeons and reaverbots were so eerie. The cities were so much fun when you’re breaking shut. The Bonnes are like Team Rocket!

+MooMachine90 It was cancelled, and judging how capcom aparently hates megaman or something, you can expect to wait another 16 years to probably see another sequel being cancelled.

4:30 Just realized that the erotic magazine has the names of Felicia and Morrigan on it. Can't tell what the name in between them is, but it's probably another Darkstalkers character.
Don't forget that the main reason there was so much outrage over MML3 being cancelled was because Capcom of Europe actually made it sound like they were insinuating that it was the fans' fault that it wouldn't get made, saying that "not enough people are *enthusiastic* enough for it". :\ Essentially, making it sound like they were down-talking the fans. Bad day for PR, i'll say.
they SUCK at advertising >.> I freaking love the Legends series and I'm JUST NOW EFFING hearing about it and it's ALREADY canceled. I feel like i was giving cheesecake at the cost of being kicked in the balls and then I dropped the cheesecake because I was kicked in the balls.
Legends 3 could have been focused on the ocean and what's under it. The flutter could have a submarine modification. You could control it and move around freely underwater, exploring a vast open world underwater with bubble cities, caves, dungeons and more. Imagine how much treasure has sunk under the water. Maybe you could even ascend out of the water, flying around and visiting islands. the possibilities are endless and capcom just said "nah".
I love this game. Lots of people criticize it from moving away from the standard Megaman formula, but there were still lots of 2D Megaman games coming out around the same time. It’s not like Capcom stated that all future Megaman games would be like this. I actually never thought the controls were awkward. You use the D-pad to move (this was before the dualshock controller) and L1 and R1 to move the camera. It also has a lock on feature and enemies are pretty big targets so aiming is never difficult. You can center the camera behind Megaman by moving in a direction and hitting the O button. The controls aren’t bad, just different. If you are even remotely interested try it! You might like it. It isn’t as difficult as other Megaman games and you really don’t need to be a Megaman fan to enjoy it. The story and characters are great, the dungeons are fun, the world is fun to explore, and there are some awesome boss battles.
for me, legends owns all other megaman games. Legends was the best variation for me. I am especially hurt by this childhood marvel of wonders I got to experience. Yes, the game actually meant a lot to me. Still my all time favorite game. In fact, I'm about to go buy legends 2 on PSN since I was never able to play it on my PS1 I had to emulate it. In case you're wondering, underwater emulation sucks ass on legends 2 so yeah, I get to play it at full speed on my ps4 pr so I'm a little excited about that.
Thank you for putting this dumb "awkward controls" notion to rest. The game had great controls for the time, and even playing it today I have no trouble with it. It's really not that complicated. In fact, it's very efficient.
It was the camera that was sometimes frustrating not so much the controls, legends 2 was the first game that pushed me to ask my parents for a DualShock controller I remember being quite entertained by the vibrating. I bet a lot of people don’t recall a time before analog and vibration controllers or how fun it was that first time.
+Nathan Karr Geometry? I'd worry about how much more unecessary complicated the story would've been if that was allowed to happen: Mega Man is SYNONOMOUS with confusing storylines at this point thanks to Mega Man X and the fact that the staff had bigger egoes than we first imagned.
+Whirlwind Spiral Well, both are easy to figure out once you actually start paying attention to the game's cutscenes (KH's events was the result of a mad scientist seeking immortality, and Metal Gear is actually, a very elaborate arms race with countries at war.. Mega Man didn't get exactly much of a story until the SNES era, courtesy of you guessed it, Mega Man X.)
I know this is all in the pass but no matter how much years have passed i just can't seems to forgive Capcom for Cancelling Megaman Legends 3 and blaming the fans for no reason for it what so ever. Then again it might be Keiji's fault for leaving during making the game before it's even finished. If that's the truth then he should've just waited until he was done with the Legends 3 project.
Seeing footage of Megaman Legends 3 made me cry... I remember I was so hyped for that game when they were still doing design competitions and live streams...
Of all the series Capcom has made and re-released, they NEED to re-release the Legends series and make a Legends 3 to get him back home. This series brought a lot more depth to the characters than the 2-D scrollers we're all used to did in the Megaman series and that's just one of the many reasons why this series was so great.
4:28 - Look at the porn magazine, at the corner it says "Felicia", (some name I can't read) and "Lilith". All from Vampire Savior/Darkstalkers, I couldn't resist laughing! XD (Also, this video still made me a little bit sad because you know...cancelled game and all...oh well...).
It's:" FELICIA FELIEN LILITH " The two FElicia & FElien are opposite each other, so the first one is normal and the second one is mirrored. It's a magazine cover so stylistic approaches are not uncommon.
i dont understand the hate behind this series. i love it sure the beginning of the city was slow but after you figured it out its great. i love this series.
As much as I do also disdain Crapcom's complete lack of care for the series, this is not the way to tell them you really want MML3. Before being gamers, we must act as consumers, as corporations (like Crapcom) can and will only gauge interest around their products through income. And yes, as soon as I'm able to, I will buy the two MML games, as well as Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
+ClydeFake Exactly. By not buying their products, I'm showing that I, and others like me, am not interested in their dumbass decisions, which will force them to rethink their strategy
+Nana-Kyoto use your imagination, roll, barett and the bonne family successfully built the rocket ship and went to retrieve megaman volnutt and had new adventures afterwards.
Nana-Kyoto roll and tron was working together to build the rocket not just tron, also it's already possible where volnutt was rescued and everyone continued on with their lives. lol
***** Put Legends 3 on kickstarter, it would probably be funded in an hour, or a minute, just like how the Dark Souls board game was funded in 3 minutes.
***** i think most game developers today are not trying hard enough to develop games using their imagination to make more necessary playable characters and longer story plots without worrying over graphical content, data space, time, and money, look at the makers of kingdom hearts and final fantasy XV, those games have been announced for years and yet they are still in development, they must be working hard to make extra content in the game along with other expected content to be developed as well. if only most game developers did that.
+Iftekhar Ahmed As much as I would love to play red ash and mighty no. 9 and give comcept the benefit of the doubt, Keiji Inafune did go a little kickstarter crazy, releasing 4 campaigns before the first was even completed. In fact it still hasn't been completed. It's been a good 3 years since the announcement of mighty no. 9 and we still don't even have a definitive release date. Just "early spring 2016" which it's now late spring. Also, the mighty no. 9 website was last updated in January and so was the official twitter. Worst part is you don't have to refund people on kickstarter if you don't come through on your project. Keiji Inafune probably scammed us.
the game kickstarter fail miserably because inafune doest even finish the mighty no9 yet, and want another fund for new game. Finish the game as u promise, and we will see if the quality is on point from the initial video. Red ash just come in the kickstarter at the worst possible time( the delay of mighty no9 just make the diehard megaman fan feel blurgh)
Kicking a dog = horrifying offensive material? I guess when I skin an animal in Red Dead Redemption that it's the same as depicting a lynching? Or your just baiting the comments.
that Sony rule against changing old content is ridiculous. if it's going to cut into your ability to make a profit (sitting on old property does that) why would you not make a relatively low cost change? think of the years of unobtained capital!?
Let us all pray for Megaman Legends 3.

they SUCK at advertising >.> I freaking love the Legends series and I'm JUST NOW EFFING hearing about it and it's ALREADY canceled. I feel like i was giving cheesecake at the cost of being kicked in the balls and then I dropped the cheesecake because I was kicked in the balls.
MastaGambit
Little did they know that this led to Mighty No. 9, and hence from there, Mega Man 11.
They meant it though
@@austinreed7343 which neither was very special
Would be great if they could bring the Legends series to the European Playstation Store.
Anyone else think those graphics are really good for its time
cel shading ages very well lol
1:32 An amusing 4 sided love triangle…? A love square then?
This video is so old and I want more qwq. Where's legends 3?!
Did you know that the nurses are thick
Every time I start missing Legends, RUclips recommends this video to me.
I'm especially partial to Megaman Legends because, as far as I can remember, it was my first Megaman game.
These games rule.
This is one of the best games that i played on ps1
I'm in the tiny crew of people that love Megaman Legends. I'm so sad the series is done.
February 1st, 2024 is the current date. I hereby mark this day as when I begin the journey to making Megaman Legends 3. See you all on the other side.
A big thank you to those dedicated employees for allowing these games to be re-released!
1:32 TRIANGLES CANNOT HAVE FOUR SIDES! That’s a love rhombus.
I love this series with all my heart and soul. ♥
"Four-sided love triangle" Dude, do you even geometry?
+Nathan Karr Geometry? I'd worry about how much more unecessary complicated the story would've been if that was allowed to happen: Mega Man is SYNONOMOUS with confusing storylines at this point thanks to Mega Man X and the fact that the staff had bigger egoes than we first imagned.
+Nathan Karr Well a "love square" would of sounded rather odd
Well, "love triangle" is a expression, nobody says love square, that's sounds stupid.
Blaze and Storm That's because once it involves more than three characters it's just a broader relationship drama, no longer a love triangle.
I beat the N64 version for the 2nd time today. Definitely in my "best games of all time" hall of fame.
Seeing footage of Megaman Legends 3 made me cry... I remember I was so hyped for that game when they were still doing design competitions and live streams...
Still waiting for a DYK on Tales of series.. Annnytime now.
2 DYKG in one week! That's GREAT!
$9.99 is a great price. Very reasonable.
just freaking 10 dollars,it's cheap lol
Forte EXE I bought this and Legends 2 for 2.99 a piece of a recent flash sale on psn
Under rated Gem.
Big part of my childhood
That dog kicking is the shit. It just goes flying.
Time to get Legends 1 & 2 on Switch
I bought a 3ds to get legends 3 was so mad when they cancelled it.
I wonder why they don't realize that they could sell these games today and people would still buy them
Seriously... that Megaman Legends concept art that's full colored is.. just gorgeous!
XD
(Also, this video still made me a little bit sad because you know...cancelled game and all...oh well...).
Bonus points to you for noticing that. "Felicia Aelien Lilith" Felicia Alien/Feline Lilith, I think.
It's:"
FELICIA
FELIEN
LILITH
"
The two FElicia & FElien are opposite each other, so the first one is normal and the second one is mirrored. It's a magazine cover so stylistic approaches are not uncommon.
*Video starts with Flutter VS Gessleshaft*
Fuck yes.
i dont understand the hate behind this series. i love it
sure the beginning of the city was slow but after you figured it out its great. i love this series.
+Demegor i mean, who doesn't love the freakin vacuum cleaner?! :D
hoenstly its a life saver
but the homing missile fully upgraded is where its at.
what about the freakin laser thingy, i forgot what its called
+Demegor What "hate?"
in all the times megaman legends has been brought up ive heard nothing but hate on my end.
This game engine is what I wanted Pokémon Games to be made on.
These games were Amazing and the Best. I wish they were more easily avaliable
thank you guys so much for making this video! this series means so much to me
Still boycotting Crapcom until they release Legends 3
+Otaking Mikohani Still boycotting Crapcom until they release...anything good.
*****
I don't think it sucks but I don't like the way they're releasing it. I'll wait for the complete version a couple years down the road.
Otaking Mikohani then you won't EVER get it. Dipshit
*Thinks about megaman legends 3*
*Cries*
There there, resident evil 2 remake soon
I really loved Legends
I’m replaying it rn for the first time since I was a kid! And I can tell you the nostalgia is immense and so is the fun!!
Tron Bonne is the best megaman villain and love interest.
Megaman, to this day, has been stuck on the moon for 16 years...
How much longer?
+Nana-Kyoto use your imagination, roll, barett and the bonne family successfully built the rocket ship and went to retrieve megaman volnutt and had new adventures afterwards.
spyro115 In Project X Zone, it is told that Tron is STILL trying to build a rocket to get Megaman back.
Did you know? Red Ash was a Kickstarter to exploit the nostalgia of Megaman Legend fans and failed miserably.
It's funny cause it's true.
It still got funded somehow & is supposedly coming out next year... or get delayed 5 times like Mighty No. 9..
I would kill to get to play this game again. My favorite game of all time. I wish it would be sold on PS3 or PS4.
Holy crap it's on the store! Thank you for this video!
Should have just emulated it, capcom is scum nowadays and doesn't deserve your hard earned money.
Still waiting for a Megaman Legends Legacy Collection and Megaman Legends 3.
RockMan Digouter Adventure Stories In The Halcyon Days Great Adventure On Five Islands.
Well that just rolls off the tongue now doesn't it.
"you could also invade mainland China and wage war on the Hawaiian Islands but this was removed due to cultural differences"
Kicking a dog = horrifying offensive material?
I guess when I skin an animal in Red Dead Redemption that it's the same as depicting a lynching?
Or your just baiting the comments.
Sometimes I think Capcom just hates Mega Man for some stupid reason.
+Mike Morris I mean
they definitely do hate megaman
this is not some kind of secret
how the heck did this game not catch fire and sell very well. I still love playing it to this day
This series sure deserves more public attention
that Sony rule against changing old content is ridiculous. if it's going to cut into your ability to make a profit (sitting on old property does that) why would you not make a relatively low cost change?
think of the years of unobtained capital!?
