Going to add a comment here since this video is getting a ton of attention for some reason. I had completed a genocide run twice before this one. This was my third run in a row (with no pacifist inbetween). I only wanted to see if something changed between the second and third run, as Toby is witty and hides easter eggs like that. If you click DO NOT, Chara then kills you and you have to endure a long segment of waiting before having an option to sell your soul again. Another comment I keep seeing: "How'd you beat Sans three times!" my friend, sans is completely muscle memory. once you've done it once, you can do it again. I hope this answers any questions any commenters may have.

@@CoolioStuffz I don't know that exactly... I suspect it, because in the picture that you see when you travel alone all other characters are crossed out and if you stay with Toriel your face becomes Chara's... so I think they kill all others or want to...
Brenda Bianca There is nothing to suggest that Chara kills everyone once you reach the surface. The picture of all the characters with the crossed out faces is to remind you of the mistakes you’ve made, and how going pacifist doesn’t change anything.

She knows frisk is just under control and he probably dies in the genocide run before you meet Chara lol
Took me fourteen tries. He's the only enemy in the whole game I lost to more than once. I was pretty surprised how easy the game was for me considering people keep saying it's hard and I've never played bullet hell games before.
i /couldnt/ beat him even once, i had to use cheat engine to increase my health immeasureably and he still took out about 2000 hp before i killed him xD second time i tried, i just gave up halfway thorough and was like fuck it im resetting and then flowey criticised me for it when i started the game again xD
He criticized you? That's weird considering he was extremely scared of the player at the point they fight Sans. But yeah, it's pretty much memorization and quick reactions. I gotta say the other runs are better but the satisfaction you get from beating Sans. Ahh...
I dunno if chara is suggesting sadism. I think it is as chara says, they think that Frisk has grown attached to this world and these people but just can't stop killing them. Chara does say that Frisk is on a whole other level though and if you think about it Frisk is a time traveling murderer in this timeline.
After completing your third genocide route, you can see that Chara doesn't bargain you anymore for your soul once you restart the game. This is because you don't have a soul to bargain for anymore.

If you open the game after a pacifist run, flowey tells you to let frisk live “their” life. Additionally I think that it thematically it wouldn’t make sense if the human’s genders were up to the interpretation of the player, because it has been shown to us, especially in Deltarune, that frisk and kris are being used as basically puppets by the player.

When I first played it I did the same thing. I thought that the only way to mercy someone was lower their health to almost dead and then mercy them because that had worked before. Then when her health got low I accidentally did too strong of a hit and it killed her. That's how you accidentally kill someone.

+Melissa Souza Borges Essentially yes. However, once you complete a genocide run, the game's files are edited so that you can no longer get the true pacifist ending. (the only part of the game that changes is the ending screens when you stay with toriel/dont stay with toriel) The file that states you have done genocide is tricky to delete and can only be done a few ways. So essentially, once you do genocide, it resets and you can't get the good toriel/non toriel ending anymore.
Oh okay. So you're doomed to always get that creepy surface ending, but is able to put a new name, follow the path you want etc. Thank god i'm NEVER doing that route.
+Melissa Souza Borges If you'd like to try out the genocide bosses (undyne the undying + sans) you can always do the route and then reset once you've beaten Sans. As long as you don't enter the throne room, your game is safe from genocide's effects. I did that at first and then I just decided to go through with finishing it after I finally beat Sans.
Yeah the real problem is i dont have the guts. I love every single character in this game and killing them would be horrible. So i just watch videos to see what happens ^^

I always thought the quotes were being said by Asgore (same "voice" sound) so you would get to him and end this, either by killing him or dying and giving him your SOUL.
people are misinterpreting the ending and frisk i think. chara wants you to do the pacifist ending, not because he dislikes the genocide run but because it will give him access to everyone in the world, then his genocide run can occur. frisk has 2 options, either let chara through to the rest of the world or kill his friends over and over again to keep chara trapped.

Besides, "Another path would be suited". It never said it must be a True Pacifist run. It can be a Pacifist run or a Neutral run, and, in these runs, your friends won't escape the underground so they're safe. Plus why Chara would want to kill the monsters? Hey, what if someone did the genocide run say, oh I don't know, ten times in a row, like they reset the game and did a genocide run all the way through ten times. Also add in doing betrayal kills, like make them like you then kill them all. Just to see what would happen. You could even try killing in combinations, like leaving all monsters of a specific section but killing those of another or killing all but the boss monsters or killing all the boss monsters only. Or killing one select character. Just to see how many unique endings you can make. That sounds like a wonderful idea right?!?

The tea he offers you isn't an obtainable item in game, unfortunately, o you can't use it. The butterscotch pie, while you can eat it in battle with him, will not end it immediately--he's a little too caught up in his emotions and the notion that he HAS to fight and kill you because of his promise. But the pie will have a particular effect on the battle that works in your favor.
That's not the tea Asgore offers you, actually! Remember the golden tea that Undyne gives you when you befriend her? It's the same kind that Asgore drinks. Unfortunately, though, it's not an obtainable item -- it's just a gimmick for that one cutscene. In battle, all sea tea does is restore some health and raise your speed, even in the Asgore battle.

That's not true, in order for a game to uninstall itself without asking you first, it would need permits that no one gives a game just like that, if a game tries to uninstall anything, it will prompt a administrator check, and the only way to bypass that is by giving the game full access to your PC, which would prompt all anti-virus to warn you "Hey mate, this program wants total control, sus for a game"
I did neutral on my first run (on accident cuz i didn't realise genocide was genocide) and today i beat genocide on my second run so far genocide ending > neutral ending also apparently i searched it up and if i do pacifist now it's kinda ruined because I did a genocide sooooo.
Doing 9 geno runs should initiate a final encounter, not even a fight, where Chara begs for mercy the way Flowey does. Not necessarily from being killed but begging to stop being a part of what you're doing because it's too excessive. The geno story is that your violence gradually awakened Chara right? It would be a cool turnabout if after enough violence Chara saw what was awakened in Frisk.

It took me over 2 months to beat him the first time then i beat him again on the first day. It seems easier once you do it twice.

people are misinterpreting the ending and frisk i think. chara wants you to do the pacifist ending, not because he dislikes the genocide run but because it will give him access to everyone in the world, then his genocide run can occur. frisk has 2 options, either let chara through to the rest of the world or kill his friends over and over again to keep chara trapped.

You can't really prove that due to Chara's words. I don't think a lier would use so smart words to trick us just because they aren't that smart. Think about these words. "You're wracked with a perverted sentimentality" ; "You and I aren't the same, are we?" ; "This SOUL resonates with a strange feeling". These words sound like Chara is definetely not lying. Besides, "Another path would be suited". It never said it must be a True Pacifist run. It can be a Pacifist run or a Neutral run, and, in these runs, your friends won't escape the underground so they're safe. Plus why Chara would want to kill the monsters? Chara hated humanity, not monsters. He would kill the humans, not the monsters.

Hey, what if someone did the genocide run say, oh I don't know, ten times in a row, like they reset the game and did a genocide run all the way through ten times. Also add in doing betrayal kills, like make them like you then kill them all. Just to see what would happen. You could even try killing in combinations, like leaving all monsters of a specific section but killing those of another or killing all but the boss monsters or killing all the boss monsters only. Or killing one select character. Just to see how many unique endings you can make. That sounds like a wonderful idea right?!?

The tea he offers you isn't an obtainable item in game, unfortunately, o you can't use it. The butterscotch pie, while you can eat it in battle with him, will not end it immediately--he's a little too caught up in his emotions and the notion that he HAS to fight and kill you because of his promise. But the pie will have a particular effect on the battle that works in your favor.

That's not true, in order for a game to uninstall itself without asking you first, it would need permits that no one gives a game just like that, if a game tries to uninstall anything, it will prompt a administrator check, and the only way to bypass that is by giving the game full access to your PC, which would prompt all anti-virus to warn you "Hey mate, this program wants total control, sus for a game"

also apparently i searched it up and if i do pacifist now it's kinda ruined because I did a genocide sooooo.
Doing 9 geno runs should initiate a final encounter, not even a fight, where Chara begs for mercy the way Flowey does. Not necessarily from being killed but begging to stop being a part of what you're doing because it's too excessive.
The geno story is that your violence gradually awakened Chara right? It would be a cool turnabout if after enough violence Chara saw what was awakened in Frisk.
This ending is like ying and Yang, because in frisk that should be the good, there's evil and in chara that should be the evil, there's good since she say stop doing that
