The moves of the dance (one arm up, two arms crossed, grazing the nose, one arm up/one arm forward) have meaning. The first is pride, the second is courage, the third is humor, the fourth is flair.
Thanks for the info on these dance moves. I have been doing the Prince Charming dance routine as part of my daily workout routines. It sure beats doing The Macarena or The Electric Slide.
I like Terry Lee's amused expressions. Merrick looks like he's having fun too. Adam pulls this whole look and demeanor off. He manages to look both graceful and masculine: pride, courage, humor, flair...sexy in that get up. The pelvic thrust at 3:07, just before he descends the stairs, makes my heart leap every time I see it.
Adam Ant is a man of tremendous vision, and so what you are seeing here is much more than a presentation of music, dance, design or costume, much more than the sum of its parts. He really is a genius, who can create much that is meaningful.
Thanks for posting this. I was 11 when Adam & the Ants made it big with Kings of the Wild Frontier. The first group I was into and KOTWF was my first vinyl album. I'm 42 now but still think that stuff sounds great.
Oh dear, I say, the young singer is really quite dashing! Now, seriously, thank you so much for posting all of these live performances! And yes - he really is - dashing and a genius! I wish I could have been there!
I really appreciate you posting these. I've been a fan of Adam's since the beginning and always will be. I always wish him all the best, especially with all he's been through. Your postings are the best thing on RUclips!! Thanks soooooooo much!
I remember getting my hands on a copy of this on video tape back in 87 in college, loved it. Looking forward to seeing him perform in September here in California
I wish he would get his outfit back from the museum it's in, and do this song like this- with him coming down the stairs doing the dance ! 👑💜👑that would be fabulous !! XOXO
He's not really a guitarist; he's using open E tuning (EBEG#BE). Adam and his band knew how to thrill an audience, though - which is more than can be said for Fatelle, Messy J and Wrong Direction today. Even my Mum loved Adam, bless her. I'm so glad to see him back in business.
in Belgium in Antwerp 1980 I went out dressed like him on weekends, people looked at me as if i am an alien or a gay ... but the girls was crazy about my style

Thank you for uploading I love it. I'm 23 today and loving every minute of Adam. Wish the fashion was still like this! Thanks again! x

Rita Coolidge has nothing to be scared of?
Thank you so much !! , for the lyric to ♥♥♥
who else knows the prince charming dance steps by heart?
that gong drum sounds awesome.
Always thought the live versions sounded better than the recorded ones.Cannot say that of today's bands.
That's what every generation says about the next. The older generation was saying that about Adam and the Ants.
i salute you!
I'm from the US and not sure what you meant with his dance at the end. I really liked the video, as I did the other ones that you posted, and thanks!
