Absolutely LOVE this tracker! When I first adopted a stray, Tom, he would stray over to the road behind me, maybe where he used to hunt or live. When I couldn't pick up the tracker signal from my yard, I would drive around to that area & would find him every time! Now, two years later, he stays closer to home thankfully, but I still keep the tracker on him in case he wanders away a bit. At first, I used the tab that hangs down (mine is Version 2, so oblong/rectangular). After some months, it stopped working. When I opened it, I found that the batteries & metal holder had rusted, due to dipping in water when he drank, I'm sure. Now, I use the water resistant cover that slides over the collar, to keep it dry! After watching this video, I wish mine was the round one that slides over the collar...would be smaller. I presume that's Version 1. When I use the tracker to find Tom, he knows I'm looking for him because his tag beeps. He usually starts coming when he hears that.
This is great, my cat starting not coming in for her dinner or in the house at all because we had two new puppies. We can walk down the road and unit will track her so we can get her in for food. Love it
Funnily enough I was doing my bathroom a few years back & was trying to locate a pipe under the floorboards. Soon as my back was turned down one of them went. They literally go anywhere new!
Breakaway collar? I use a breakaway collar for mine and it’s very easy to break open and take off if they needed. I don’t use the tabcat tho, just an air tag.
I’d say the radio signal includes some sort of basic ID so you can assign it to a button on the tracker and also so it can ignore tags that aren’t yours and most importantly to track a specific cat.
120 meters in free range, otherwise much less - you will have to walk around anyway. In my opinion it is best for cats that stay within a smaller area. But it will also find your cat if it s locked inside garages, other houses et cetera. There are other brands with greater ranges - but they are much cheaper. It depends on how big the area of your cat is.

I don't want to use a collar as heard cats can strangle themselves if caught but love this if there was another way to put on. x

why does it need to register if it's just radio?
or isn't it just analog radio and does it use Bluetooth or at least BT like frequency?

sounds good...but the price is above my budget :(
All works fine, till you want to change the battery of one of those caps. And then, it doesn't work anymore ...
I have 3 cats so how will it find all 3 cats i have.
This product does not work. No sound on video. Battery cap will not fit back in and it does not pair

Get a gps tracker for that, those require a charge every few days unlike these but gives the location to a point
I know what you mean Jane, I bought a jet ski and was disappointed I could not ride on the motorway. 🙄
