Absolutely LOVE this tracker! When I first adopted a stray, Tom, he would stray over to the road behind me, maybe where he used to hunt or live. When I couldn't pick up the tracker signal from my yard, I would drive around to that area & would find him every time! Now, two years later, he stays closer to home thankfully, but I still keep the tracker on him in case he wanders away a bit. At first, I used the tab that hangs down (mine is Version 2, so oblong/rectangular). After some months, it stopped working. When I opened it, I found that the batteries & metal holder had rusted, due to dipping in water when he drank, I'm sure. Now, I use the water resistant cover that slides over the collar, to keep it dry! After watching this video, I wish mine was the round one that slides over the collar...would be smaller. I presume that's Version 1. When I use the tracker to find Tom, he knows I'm looking for him because his tag beeps. He usually starts coming when he hears that.

If youre struggling to get tag and tracker in sync, open the tag and make sure the batteries are oriented correctly and fitted appropriately! This immediately fixed all the sync errors i was having!

I don't want to use a collar as heard cats can strangle themselves if caught but love this if there was another way to put on. x

All works fine, till you want to change the battery of one of those caps. And then, it doesn't work anymore ...

This product does not work. No sound on video. Battery cap will not fit back in and it does not pair

why does it need to register if it's just radio? or isn't it just analog radio and does it use Bluetooth or at least BT like frequency?

I walked my cat on a leash for several months, then after a while she refused to wear the halter. By then she had learned the yard boundaries and gotten her bearings pretty well. I have been using the tracker and letting her out during the day for several hours. The tracker has worked really well, and keeps me from having to worry when I don't see her. It is a bit large, but she only wears it when she goes out and it isn't a problem. I'm really glad I got it.

This product is so disappointing. It doesn’t register. I’ve sat here doing it for an hour. It doesn’t register. I’d expect this to cost a lot less then we paid. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, especially someone who cares about there cat

What is the realistic range on these ?

DO NOT BUY THIS -- My Tab does not work & they refuse to honor their warranty. They will not replace or refund the money. The USA phone number is a fraud, no one answers it. Do not buy this. Sharper Image has a similar product for less than half the cost & they stand behind their products.

This is great, my cat starting not coming in for her dinner or in the house at all because we had two new puppies. We can walk down the road and unit will track her so we can get her in for food. Love it

It's weird because I watched your full advertisement, but don't you think there's something wrong when your product is about cats and there's NO cat? You're missing the obvious

Hello - thanks for the new upload. I recommend the TabCat! My cat Purrfect is diabetic and, as such, can't be let out unless he's with us on a leash in the garden or out on a walk (like a dog!). I have the TabCat tag on his collar for those times when he might escape from the house. TabCat is great for locating a cat who is in the vicinity (or if he's further afield one can go walking with the handset in various directions in a methodical fashion) turning it on every 100 m., or so and slowly turning round in a circle to see if you get a beep and one red light which is the lowest signal level. (It also helps to know where he isn't, if you see what I mean.) He did get out and I found him with the Tabcat just next to the field about 50 metres away. There have been other times when he was hiding inside the house and I've found him with the TabCat too! My tips as a TabCat user: 1. Yes, definitely, train the cat to associate the beeping with a giving him a treat and this'll help too! 2. For extra waterproofing just in case, and to make sure the housing never comes apart, I personally put a small thin piece of tape round the tag (not over the speaker holes which beep) and tightly wrap clingfilm over the tag before putting it in the rubber tagholder provided. 3. For extra peace of mind, change the batteries (which are inexpensive) every 5 months or so even if they're not flat yet. So, yes, I definitely recommend the TabCat!
