I had an AirTag attached to my cat and he got out the other day, he was gone for 2 days and the AirTag was worthless It was displaying that my cat was home so I pinged the AirTag to try and pinpoint where and it literally would not connect. When we finally found our cat I took his collar off with the air tag and tried to ping it while it was right next to my phone and again it just would not connect, terrible product.
We Have Used Tractive for about a year now for our ever-wandering cat. It works well about half the time. The other half of the time- the app does not update- and you have no idea why. This is an everyday thing. Works sometime- doesn't work other times. And if you want a human being to speak to- forget about it. Terrible customer service- non- existent really. I Cannot recommend this product, and am currently looking for a replacement.
Great content and useful info. My friend has a blind dog & she was camping & her dog wandered off. She was freaking out. I'll send a shared video of this to her. Thx u!
I tried air tags on my dog, I threw it away.
What’s the range on the radio tracker?
Thanks for this great info. We're moving to a new state and are concerned about our 3 cats. Also, I hope this doesn't offend you but I noticed that your neck looks like mine did when I was diagnosed with Graves disease. I'm sure you've probably had it checked out by a physician but if not you might want to have someone test your T3, T4 and TSH levels. Just trying to be helpful. Take care.
Thank you so much for this video!! This year my cat is 3 years old. And now that summer has come he has started to be out for a looooooong time. The longest was 11-12 days. When he came home he weren't even that hungry. Wondering if someone has started to feed him and take him in or if he hunts enough himself. I get worried sick. And if someone is taking him in i would like to know and tell them not to do that. Not sure to choose the second or the third one though. The short battery life isn't gonna help me when he's out for a week or more. Wonder if I should get the third one first to get a gadge on where he tends to go, found out if he's in someone's home. Then get the tabcat so I can actually find him after a long time being out. This video was so helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤
Hey! Great video thanks so much for the info. I was planning on getting the tractive mini as it's a little more budget friendly, but after hearing your experience I might go for the tabcat. Do you think tabcat would be a better fit for an indoor cat who I am concerned may get out as i'm moving in with roomates? Also wondering if your cats seemed to experience any discomfort with the tractive's larger size? Thanks!
What distances are you talking? 50 , 20 100 feet?
I will be moving to Japan soon with my wife and cat. We want to put a tracker on our cat since for a portion of the trip he will have to be in cargo. Which tracker would you recommend in this situation?
Very informative, thanks so much!
Air tags haven’t worked for me with my cat.
صراحه بداية المقطع كويسه بس ما تطرق ل airtag بشكل كويس
thanks for the video. I think I'll give TabCat a go. Here's our 2cents in this area: This product was fail for us. Cat Tracker with mobile app. Several false readings placed our cat in the road in front of our house when he was actually in the house. That'll get the adrenaline going. After 30 days use of constant incorrecdt readings and not accurately pin pointing the position of our cat once I tried to return and was told there's a30-day limit. The tracker, vest and subscription cost close to $200. I do not recommend this product. Next we tried Tile. Also showed our cat in the road when he was in the house. What's up with that? The strongest feature of Tile was the Chime. If you're close enough you can cause the Tile unit to Chime and zero in on your cat that way. Now we are onto AirTag. Didn't work well with our iPhone XRs. Users recommend newer phones and iCloud connection so we're going to upgrade our phones and try that. We live on 1.6 acres. The entire back yard, about 3/4 acre is fenced in with 7 ft high wood plank fencing. Which, of course, cats can climbe over. So also in the process of topping off the wood with spiked metal fencing.
