PLEASE YOU HAVE TO HELP ME GET HOLD OF GABOR - I AM BEGGING YOU, READ MY COMMENTS BELOW - PLEASE HE HAS TO PROTECT ME OR EXPOSE WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME - SOMETHING. YES I AM SHOUTING I BEG FOR HELP SO MUCH AND NOBODY LISTENING!!! Please I am an artist and abuse victim, please make the police stop terrorising me every few weeks for begging for help I am entitled to and need. Please expose the corruption in our society with how we treat abuse victims and poor people - THIS IS NOT MY CULTURE.
And please expose the hatred bigotry and racism of new immigrants towards disabled poor Kiwi locals. Afrikaan are the worse and NZ govt has let 10,000s of them come here - they are abusers of power in every situation I have dealt with them, next comes English and Americans - South Pasifika, Chinese and Indians ALSO BAD.
Been watching Prof Philip Zimbardo and causes of evil again - this is what has and is happening to me. Those in positions of power have gone insane and evil - that includes my own family when I tell the truth about how badly I am treated. My own brother told me to kill myself if my life was so hard - now his daughters work for an abusive mental health organisation and police. PLEASE I NEED TO SPEAK TO GABOR, IT IS IMPERATIVE!

My theory is: they’re not interested in a dirty game like politics. There, they can’t fully use those great qualities because there are “too many interests” involved. If you are wise and you actually care, politics will be the last career choice in my opinion. It’s sad but I honestly feel it’s a reality. I totally agree with you that it should be different but I think it will take more than a revolution to change the way things are. By the way I’m a total optimist but I’m not blind to the brokenness in our system(s).

This is so true. For example, during British coIoniaIism, more Indians were starrved and sIaughtered (over 100 million) than Jrws kiIIed during WW2 (6 million).
In America, Native Americans were systematically strved and kiIIed (yes, I know many diied of disease, but that's besides the point), and children were sent to re-education facilities where they were Christianized and often sexxuaIIy abuused.
During WW2, Romani people were systematically kiIIed and experimented on, en masse, but many usually portray this as an okay thing (or "good" thing according to internet-users and European politicians) since they weren't fair skinned and wealthy like the Ashkenazi Jrws (not the official reason, but the likely one). So their gnoclde is viewed as unimportant.
Then there's Namibia, the Congo, Vietnam, Iraq, it goes on and on...
As Mr Maté said, there is a Eurocentric view regarding who truly suffrs and who does not.
Btw, excuse the many typo's. It's the only way to avoid YoTube's censrship mechanisms.

Thank you, Gabor Maté, for saying what I struggled with when learning world history. I couldn’t understand how genocides had been arranged hierarchically. Not just with the Jewish Holocaust being on top. But also the effect this had on making all the other genocides invisible. Effectively ‘disappearing’ all the non-European people. It’s clear that it was - and with the Gaza genocide - it continues to be - a reflection of the colonial, racist mindset of the Western leaders who still do not consider black and brown lives as equal to others. We are all connected in a precious human family. All lives are equal. When we destroy one human life, we are diminishing and harming all humanity.

These are beautiful men. Thank you all. I have hope when I see you and listen.
I don't speak about what's happening in Gaza because everyone I know already knows, and we can see that no one wants to stop. With the US in Vietnam, there was sadism and racism on the part of the US soldiers, but it was not personal. With these two peoples, it is personal, and there is joy in the destruction and humiliation of the other. You cannot stop that. There is no end to the Israeli quest for security, and no end to the Palestinian quest for redress, freedom, and dignity.

Beautiful words about music from Yanis! There's a piece by Irish poet John O' Donohue "Belonging to music', that reflects exactly that, some unknown ancient spirituality that music and we all belong to.

Free mother earth by freeing your mind away from stupid narratives such as Palestine. That is another massive narrative that is in support of Arab supremacy and Muslim control of the middle East, which is against many native religions/tribes/peoples.

In Spain happened the same rupture of social bounds. Our culture used to be more communal and based on mutual support. Nowadays, Spain is an ultra-individualistic society with chronic unemployment and a very harsh competitivity. Also, we are top one in the use of benzodiazepines. That old image of a sunny happy country is a painful hauntology.

Goodness. I've never seen Yanis on the verge of tears once, let alone a number of times. We look to him as a constant source of rugged tenacity and jubilant wit in the face of the immovable meat grinder of time. But good of us all to lay on the floor and weep at this. Like anger, we need to express our grief.

As Samuel Beckett said "Try again. Fail again. Fail better".

I experienced a sudden fall from grace, out of 15 months of samadhi, on account of a long covid brain inflammation episode. That was kind of terrifying, in that the thinking mind suddenly switched on. It went from open, clear, vastness to overload - with every waking moment filled with racing, chaotic, incomplete shards of thoughts. I instantly decided to pay the mind no mind and thought that when I was better I would settle down, quieten down and go back into samadhi. But as time moved on and I started to recover from long covid, possibly 9 months later, I didn't want to return to nothingness as Israel had started dropping bombs on the Palestinians and I was now in deep horror, grief cycling and found that the only spirituality that made sense was in
bearing witness to the genocide and using all my facilties to write ✍️ to politicians, media outlets, work the social media channels and volunteer. I had zero inclination to sit with non duality teachers who I knew would not be speaking directly to what is happening in Gaza. Though I have been enjoying two politico-spiriritual ravers, that being Chris Hedges (brilliant writer, journalist and Presbyterian minister) and the wonderful Cornell West (soulful bother, academic and Presidential candidate). And of course, if Noam Chomsky raves on long enough, he always drops into his deep and compassionate heart, that loves all beings. Hes defo a priest figure. I love compassionate activism and activists, like Gabor (and his awesome sons) and Yanis. That being said the journey inyo and out of samadhi has resulted in the apotheosis of all the C- PTSD I'd been embodying since childhood. woo hoo. And Im experiencing anger, the clearest Ive ever known it and oddly enough my immune system doesnt seem to be impacted by the incessant grief cycling. Which is amazing as I live with a number of immune disorders. Anger, Rage, Numbess, Wailing etc.. is 100% felt, expressed and honoured without any resistance, nor residue. I think they call it resilience.

The political rage storms that fire up can never last unless they ground them selves and begin to truly root and branch out to spread their seeds of inspiration. As in with occupy Wall Street, the Arab spring and other movements begin with rage (like a fire to bring down a toxic structure) but teeter out and even abused and misdirected. Zizek talks about V for vendetta part 2 and I feel part 2 is the grounding of humanity understanding our relationship with this world, to draw inspiration wisdom and guidance from nature itself. Like turning to the great trees once again we begin to learn and rediscover an inherent reality that we are all people of planet earth and through balance and harmony we can again thrive and flourish growing and sharing our fruits naturally and with flow of grace. May we inspire one another to new plains of wonder and possibility.

This is exactly what's needed. Bring brilliant, compassionate people together. There is strength in connection. A stroke of genius. Totally agree about the silence from spiritual leaders with the notable exception of Tara Brach, Cornell West, Rabbi shapiro and some rabbis and Imans whoze names i forget. I think the ordinary people and leading thinkers like you three are the new spiritual leaders because the people who show real courage in the face of this horrific genocide by speaking up and acting in whatever way they can to help are undergoing spiritual transformation i ternally, overcomming their egos and joining in the common cause of building an authenic new humanity.
