- Alyena will show you how to make her grandma's hot toddy recipe. This home remedy helps sooth a sore throat or cough when you have a cold or flu.
Hot Toddy Recipe:
4 cups of water
1 large lemon sliced
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
1 to 3 Tbsps of Honey
1 oz of spirit of your choice per drink
Simmer everything, but the spirt for 10 minutes. Strain liquid. Pour spirit into glass then hot mixture. Add on piece of lemon.

Ii haven't made this recipe without the spirit, but others similar...sort of like your nightly tea which sounds perfect! Sadly, I never got to meet my grandma on my mom's side.
