It's too late now. I thought you said a cup of whiskey and a shot of water. I got the rest right, the drop of lemon juice and honey, sprinkle of cinnamon. I'm sick presently. Burning sore throat. Hope this helps abit.

Yes, I add tea and one crushed peppermint along with honey, lemon and whiskey. Drink while hot. Makes you sweat the cold out. Works every time. Try it.

Well.... I have done this, but I think you were very ‘lean’ on the quantity of whiskey... I, however, have a generous hand... job done .... but now I am alarmingly distracted (nothing to do with the alcohol) of that little flashing green light behind you....

Cloves in the lemon, sounds like an excellent idea !. I'm using John Powers & Son Irish Whiskey for this recipe here.
YES! A must to add tea. I use the “sweet & spicy” from Good Earth has cinnamon and orange and cloves very comforting! Of course the rest of these ingredients are must as well
