I'm glad that they mentioned that the stand sticks exactly where most windows laptops have vents for the cooling fans but its like at the very end where that's the first thing I noticed. That thing is a $25 laptop overheating utility.

If they offer possibly different designs for laptops with bottom vents and possibly some bigger ones for larger laptops, this could be an even bigger hit. Doesn't sound expensive and it looks low profile enough to not be intrusive. I support this, maybe not for my 15" gaming laptop at the moment but for Ultrabooks or lighter setups, this is pretty genius in it's simplicity.

They need to offer it in 2 different sizes so that it supports a wider range of notebooks. Also would be nice if the bottom was made of a fabric material (like the Alcantara on the Surface) to make it so it doesn't make those scratchy sounds whenever you move it along the desk.

I wonder if this will improve or hinder thermal performance. It kinda blocks part of vent of my laptop, but it also creates more space for the rest of the vents and possibly better air flow.

Would make a great product for office use for those who connect additional peripherals to the laptop. However, this looks quite painful for your wrist if you plan to use without another keyboard and mouse.
It could be a bit bigger to counter act the side wobbling ...
they would then have to custom design it per-laptop as sizes vary, vent locations etc. It would end up just costing more because they aren't mass producing it.

While elevating a laptop helps temps a lot, this one would block most vents and chocke gaming laptops :/ Some laptops like the alienware ones also have that ribbed grill, not helping with the sticking. Probably only good for low power ultrabooks and macbooks.

Throughout the video I was thinking about how it would work on my xps 15 that has a bottom intake.
Good call, Willie-doo. The vents would kill the adhesive as much as the dust that would cake on there. XPS 13 wouldn't be a great fit, for example.

They do a mini version that only covers the middle of the fan grill
my laptop has a fan grill but only far left and far right are where the fans are so the middle is fine for the stand to be placed and i havent noticed any performance issues, unless you use your laptop for everything i only use it for studying

Doesn't typing at an angle give you carpal tunnel? I'm pretty sure typing on a keyboard that's angle increases your likely hood of carpal tunnel significantly. Also isn't the biggest benefit of having a laptop that's base is raised at an angle is that it can disperse heat better? Yeah this does the opposite of that instead retaining more heat than pick panther fiberglass insolation. If you want to kill your joints by raising your keyboard at a ridiculous incline get a laptop that takes advantage of it instead of crippling your cpu.
The angle was something I was concerned about with carpal tunnel. You'd be bending your wrist an improper angle.

Big ergonomic problem is that you’re not supposed to type with your hands sitting on the palm rests. It puts your wrist in an unnatural position.

Oh, and as for the product: I have an old shoe box that elevates my laptop, and the box has a cutout for the laptop's exhaust. The box also has lateral holes to funnel the heat nicely through the sides. I'm quite proud of the design.
I have a product already on the market that does the same job, and you can find one anywhere. I call it a “pillow.” Sounds weird, but it works. It’s adjustable, too. Plus, you can rest your head on it if you get tired. Amazing.

I have one and I love it, I don’t remember the last time my laptop was flat. It’s really good if you use your laptop to watch Netflix in bed, doesn’t overheat or take up any dust/dirt from your sheets

GREAT concept, BUT BE WARNED it does cause laptops to OVERHEAT!
I bought two and installed on a 2019 13" Macbook Pro and a 15" Dell XPS, and in both cases it hindered heat dissipation. It is good for raising the screen up and it's probably good for people who do lightweight browsing and document editing, but for any power user this WILL make your laptop thermals MUCH worse (I got over 10 degrees increase in temperature on average with fans working twice as much)
I'm curious about what happens when you remove it off, does it stain the laptop? Does it leave behind residues? Can it be reused on another laptop after removing from one? Tell me these things

It is pretty good, although in 15" laptops, when you use the laptop without elevation, it is not steady because the left space between the MOFT and the laptop front edge. So when you place your hand on touchpad for example it moves a little.

What about the heating?
This would probably make most laptops cooler. A table will hold all that heat, where this would expose the underside of the laptop to freely flowing air. Unless it covers up vents, that is.
That's a great design! Raising the base of the macBook (in my case) off the table top helps a lot in keeping it cool too.

The point of laptop stands is to give a more comfortable angle for wrists
Some laptops get quite hot at the bottom, and hope the glue stays working long enough with that heat.
