@ToolsandTargets Gen 2 in these may be interesting. Velocity was good even if expansion with separation lacked a little. I do like the fact they kept more of their base than other brands. For the cost they are worth a try. If they fail send flowers 💐 😂.

My pc9, g17, gc2 and p89 love them! I've loaded and shot thousands of their projectiles. 100% American made! A mainstay here! 💪😎
I’ve tested these bullets extensively and they need a minimum of 1200-1225 to perform properly in gelatin with the heavy clothing barrier. Unfortunately they then fall short at 13-14 inches of penetration. They are indeed made by RMR bullets. I’ve been using their 9-115 FMJ bullets for my range load offerings and they are hands down the best FMJ in the industry!
Im actually pretty happy with it. I have thousands of these, and dont mind venturing a bit into +p territory. Seems like these are a great reloader's bullet.

@rbur394 I'm pretty sure "Mr Gunsngear" has a gel test of their 77gr OTM. I'm 99% certain. I also believe Buffman Range did as well and included velocity and practical accuracy.
Are you an RMR customer? I have been buying RMR bullets for a while, watching their company grow again and again. One thing that was extremely impressive about RMR is that they never raised their prices any more than absolutely necessary to cover just some of their own price increases for lead and copper, during the "toilet paper apocalypse." They barely raised their prices at all, maybe 10%? I forget. But they kept on producing bullets non-stop and kept customers informed the whole time when some minor delays hit. I have real respect for Jacob Wilcox and his RMR operation. I am glad to see you give them a shout out here. Thank you, they deserve it. RMR's bullets are even on Hodgdon's Reloading Data Center site now, and in the Lee Reloading manual. I love to see a serious 2A company grow!! Regarding the Nukes projectiles: I bought 1,000 of the 124 grain variety a few years ago but finally started loading them a few weeks ago. Still waiting on a maiden voyage through some 9mm barrels! I do not buy a lot of factory ammo because I reload almost everything I shoot, but that's great to know about Unlimited Ammo as a company.
"Oh wow, what a powerful sounding name! I bet these things are crazy!" "...oh, no, they're standard pressure 9mm with a lackluster projectile." Very convincing marketing, I'll give them that much.
I use the 115 grain nuke at 1400 fps + out of a czsp01. At that speed, on hog carcass anyway, they blow up and only travel about 10 inches. Keep up the great work 👍
I'm really curious to know if these were the gen 1s or what is currently on offer. I know the first hp RMR made was just called the "MPR," or multipurpose round. The new ones took the "Nuke" moniker. Still, even looking head on to the bullet tip, I can't tell which it is. Still though, I got a few thousand of these things in reserve, and now I don't feel too bad at all knowing that if I give them a couple tenths of extra space, they'll work very well if need be.
On clearance these are now "budget" JHPs and frankly, seem to perform as well or better than a lot of other budget JHPs. For the price, heck, I might pickup a few bags. Better than FMJs.
I've ordered the 124gr Nukes from RMR. I wanted these so I could load up some cheaper SHTF bullets, that can still get the job done. If you don't see these on the RMR site, it could be they are temporarily out of stock. BL, they are the makers of the Nuke projectile.
You should look into this 185gr 9mm from Seismic Ammo. They call it "QuakeMakerTM +M 9mm NATO". There are no videos on YT that actually have a meaningful display of the ammo, pretty much clips of people shooting it, or just talking about it (no jelly, no chrono). It's possibly a good option for suppressors, due to its lower velocity.
Your tests with the heavy clothing on the gel separates the sales pitch from real life. Unlimited Ammo website shows a nice, beautiful expansion. Your test indicates they used bare gel. Another great test.👍
Interesting…. I think they could have real potential with a little tweaking from Unlimited. Not a terrible result but I’d bet +p might be the ticket. I’ve ordered and loaded thousands of bullets from RMR but never these. I might have to play with some. Great info as always my friend 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks for gel testing these. Been waiting years for someone to do so! I think 10% calibrated gel would show more expansion but it is a PITA to test in high heat summers!
I would guess that the bullets lost the jacket pieces right where they turned around. At that point they were expanded and that parachute caused them to turn. Price is enough to get me interested.
Excellent, as always. The 124 NUKE has a FAT ogive that needs to be loaded to a short oal (1.060") in order to fit barrels with short leades. Loaded to 1.120" it will not fit Gen5 Glocks nor a few European pistols. I loaded some 124 NUKES to 1.120" and they were only around 1090 fps from a 4.0" barrel. Subsequently shortening the oal to 1.060" not only made it fit into all our barrels, it also increased velocity to 1200 fps. RMR claims they will expand through bare gel at 1000 fps and through denim at 1100 fps. Your testing confirms this. Like you, I think they'll do fine at a +P velocity of 1200 fps.
I load them to the same OAL. I actually had both my 9mm pistols reamed to make sure they fit rmr bullets lol. Chonky boys. I love their stuff. And now that I see how well they work, and will definitely work better with a little extra pep, I certainly don't feel bad with the couple thousand I have in reserve. I'd love for Tools to find a company loading their 69 gr. 223 hollowpoints as well. As well done & informative as your videos are I find it difficult to believe that you are stuck at around 75K subs. I’ve been with you since your early days.
Growing at the same % rate as always every month. It just seems to go slower with bigger numbers.😆 I could flood the channel with clickbait trash and shorts just to see a bigger number, but those type of subs don't watch anything but clickbait trash and shorts so it would do me no good. Most of my longform videos get 2 or 3 times the views of a lot of channels that have 5 or 10 times my subs because they got them from trash content. The main problem is that YT only promotes gun stuff to a small specific audience so until you get a nice sub base, you're at the mercy of the YT garbage algorithm.
I was wondering when you were going to test some RMR bullets. They are super accurate and very reasonably priced. I load the 124gr Nuke in 9x25 Dillon.
@@ToolsandTargets I have been reloading their stuff ever since I got into reloading over a decade ago, but not a lot of companies seem to be loading their JHP's. @@ToolsandTargets Us too!!!! I think todays high is 96 here in Louisville.
For 10$ a box I would use these at the range for JHP practice. But they are sold out. I’ll have to look for the 2.0
I would love to see how you pull the bullets out of the gel. It would probably be a satisfying, less disgusting version of pimple popping
Thank you so much. Never even seen this ammo but I love the options and results you show everybody. Sorry I'm a poor or else I'd donate.
Watching the videos is plenty, my friend!😎👊
Haven’t heard of that type of ammo before. Decent performance. Thanks for the jelly test Tools!
Curious to see how they'd do out of a PCC with the additional fps gain.. Might have to try them through my Gen III S2K.
😎👍
And I'll just keep my 115 +P+ out of a 4.5" 416R barrel, going 1,470 or so, making 552 lb-Ft of energy. I've seen what they do on muscle and bone.
I wonder how they would perform out of my Beretta CX4 Storm or my Kel-Tec Sub-2000.
Been very hot 🥵 and humid at my location as well.
I’ve done some shooting but it wasn’t that pleasant
Yeah, especially if you don't have some shade. It's rough.
Interesting ammo test Tools 🇺🇸👊, I'm thinking if they had more sauce behind them like a +P they might have a better result.
💥🔥💥
Thanks for doing the test, I was wondering about these... I appreciate you.
Thank you sir 😎👊
Interesting results Tools. I guess that explains why they are coming out with a 2.0 version
Have a great weekend.
Be vigilant and always be safe my friend.
Thank you sir. Makes me wonder if the "2.0" might be +P.
It would be cool to see what they do fired out of a carbine
😎👍
Doggone, these wanted to do well so badly, but just couldn't quite open up all the way. I'll bet these would do well out of a 9mm carbine / PCC.
Best ammo testing channel. Frog horn leg horn with a block of jelly.
Can’t expand if it breaks apart along the way. That’s the way the cookie crumbles. 👌😎🇺🇸👊
💥🍪💥
Nice , could be great options for budget 9mm rounds. I will look into this!
😎👊
I was wondering when you were going to test some RMR bullets. They are super accurate and very reasonably priced. I load the 124gr Nuke in 9x25 Dillon.
None if it around here so I'd have to order it online.
@@ToolsandTargets I have been reloading their stuff ever since I got into reloading over a decade ago, but not a lot of companies seem to be loading their JHP's. Eley loads their FMJ RN in their match ammo. The predecessor to the Nuke was just the MPR and it did very well in bare gel.
I could load some up pretty hot (+P book load) if you want to see what they do at higher velocity.
Great video again, love your format of your videos., you don't bloviate or try to crack unwanted jokes..... Like other ammo reviewer's do
You cover all the wanted ballistics and technicals in a short concise video
Thank you.
Not terrible is not what you want for your self defense ammo! Thanks Tools 👍🏻
This is true, but it is better than terrible.😂 Appreciate you, brother!😎👊
Definitely not for self defense but if it's cheap I would buy it for range or small to medium varmint
💥🐺💥
Your 1 liners hit harder than any bullets
+P 😎👊
Another quality video.
Question ? What is your top 3 or favorite 9mm defense ammo I watched a bunch of your videos and don’t think I seen a favorite or like top 3 thanks.
Agreed! These aren't a total failure. But they aren't great. They should get the job done. And for the money they are a good option
Now I'm curious what the "2.0" is all about.
@@ToolsandTargets Yes sir
Man id really like to see you test out the 22 tcm
I've not heard of these til now , good price tho. Thanks for info .
😎👊
Cool test Tools not too bad results would like to see better but would buy at the price they are asking right now stay safe and God Bless.
Be a good carbine round for chaos worldm Priced right too
Love your videos. I only have the bell indicator turned on, on two channels. You are one of them. You need to do another stream. Loved it. 25acp > snukes
Needs a +P load it might make them expand more I wonder how they’d do hitting bone to
Glad to see your video show up today, i missed seeing the wed wall video this wk. Was hoping everything was ok. Far as these go seems like they might be a decent back up ammo for shtf especially at that price or maybe even out of a carbine?
Appreciate ya. Didn't get anything done in time this week. Dealing with YT holding everything up on top of it.😆
@@ToolsandTargets ah, i wondered if this new YT BS was affecting things or not. Such a load of crap, anyway just glad all is well. Thanks Tools
Love ur content man, do you have a video of southern munitions hybrid HP 124gr?
Might be a good carbine round Tools.
I'll have to add it to the pile.
For what they're asking you could buy it and use it as range ammo
The leads to hard not enough velocity in my opinion
Could be
