This is the video to at helped me rebuild my jammed ode!
My journey included dropping a faceplate screw, and having a misaligned upper burr.
I would have needed to find a new grinder without your help. I was curious about how tight to push the adjuster plate screw in for recalibration. That was a trial-and-error exercise.

Sorry for the delay, I don’t always get comment notifications for some reason! Anyway, I hope your install went well and you’re enjoying great cups! ☕️😊

Have been down the speciality coffee rabbit hole for a few year now and have really been enjoying your videos. I watch just about everything out there and you definitely have something to offer the speciality coffee world. Love the pace and presentation of your videos. Also really love your graphics and video editing.
I have been using the Gorilla Gear burrs for the last month and have really been liking the cups I’ve been getting. Love to see someone who is as enthusiastic about coffee as I am. Keep up the great work because I’m a huge fan.

When I try to reinstall my adjustment plate the dial becomes stuck and won't move. I have it in the proper orientation as you showed. The auger is also properly aligned with the key and driveshaft

It’s hard to say what the problem is without seeing it but obviously something isn’t right and is binding. Did you get it figured out?

This is just a great and perfect video Aaron. Why not make a alignment video too? I think that video would get a lot of views over time. Can't find one on youtube.
    Keep up the awesome work!

This was nice to see. I saw the video about the ode 2.0 burrs once i looked to see if they were finally ready!
My first cleaning went pretty bad as i had no ides how the auger worked with the spring so i over tightened like crazy.
I finally figured it out but i left that chirping just below the finest setting. Is that fine do you think? I got really into the mokapot thing recently so i was trying to be as fine with the regular burr sets.

Yeah you can set it up’s so it’s just off chirp with the Gen 2 burrs, that’s fine and I believe that’s what’s recommended by Fellow. They designed them so you can grind as fine as the burrs can go and be safe for the motor.

Have you gotten the Gen2 burrs yet?
I just installed them last week. And I’m getting to know them. They definitely grind finer.

Actually I do currently have a set of those and the SSP cast in 2 other Ode’s. The Gen2 are good, I’m liking the cups I’ve been getting with them but I need to play around with them some more. From what I’ve noticed so far the Gorilla Gear have a more consistent and uniform grind size but for the money the Gen2 seem to be really good! I couldn’t believe they’re only $80!!! I’ll be doing a video soon comparing several different burrs in Ode’s 😝 thanks for watching! 🤘☕️

Did you have to align the burrs at all?

    • @coffeenerdaaron
      @coffeenerdaaron  2 года назад

I didn't in this video for time reasons but ideally you should align any burrs you install. Although it's not as critical for the original Gen 1 burrs.

Would you or someone here tell me if your burr carrier is as loose as mine? Here is a video: ruclips.net/video/eQRLCmeybrU/видео.html
