Clincher: Nina seems like a really nice person; maybe a rarity in the professional sports and/or music arena. It is hard not to like her and wish her success.
Edit, not to mention, this video was recorded four years ago! In somewhat of a fulfilling prophecy, now she has (had) not only a #1 song on the Rock charts, but has also moved into an even more prestigious (lucrative) role as the guitarist for Demi Lovato (not that I don't like Alice Cooper's music better, but then I was a kid when he started releasing albums)

Alice Cooper has more credibility than any commenter here, so I go by what he said. Basically, there are thousands of talented guitar players out there. But they also need "the look", an awesome stage presence. So that narrows it down to a few hundred. Then they also need to be someone you can stand to be around 24 hours a day, because when touring thats how its going to be non-stop. So that narrows it down to 2 or 3. Makes sense. Nita can play, we know that. She looks hot and doesn't stand on the stage awkwardly or stiff as a board, she rocks her moves so she does have the look and stage presence. And from seeing her vids and interviews she does seem very warm and personable, someone easy to get along with even for long periods. So there you go. Alice Cooper himself gave us her "secret" for success. I think a lot of bedroom guitar players in this world who feel that they can do what she does have to realize that they have to match all three of those criteria. 1 or 2 out of the 3 isn't going to be good enough.

Being agreeable or easy to get a long with is a major skill set for studio musicians and hired guns. Especially being around rock stars all the time. This is one of your best vids to me BECAUSE I love the subject matter in that you're talking about work ethic, etc.
Please do more about other artists as well.
She is a good guitar player, and in the wonderful capatilists system no one is forced to buy her music, or music in which she is a part of. She provides value and as you stated her hard work is paying off. Sure, her being a female doesn't hurt, and she has a nice body and is easy on the eyes, but she has also earned her way. Really earned her rewards via time and effort to provide value.
Also, I fucking Love her signature guitar. For one, the S series is such a great all around guitar because it's so lightweight, well balanced, etc. Plus hers has the coolest ever inlays. That heart EKG or whatever it's called is just killer. I only wish Ibanez had thicker necks because I personally am not a typical Yngwie or Steve Vai type shredder and I have had numerous S series and RGs from Japan, etc. I currently have a S series model 440v which has a two point fender like bridge by gotoh that is killer. No locking nut, but does have locking tuners. I am going to put a Dimarzio super3 in the bridge or tone zone and then dragon fire pickups in the neck and middle single position. It will scream.
Great video and please keep it up. I get great value from almost all, or all of your vids.

Maybe she is not the best guitarist in the world, and maybe she is not miss universe, but she is certainly unique combination of female beauty and guitar s-killer.
She probably deserves to attract all that attention, especially when we think what efforts she invested in herself, in terms of guitar skills and good look.
Maybe the greatest success of her is that she made it as a girl in a cruel men's world.

She is decent female guitar player that may inspire more young girl to start picking up guitar, guitar world needs more young female player obviously. I think her success is absolutely based on her talent, skill, and hard work. She's an amazing guitarist that deserves everything she has worked for. But, to say that her pretty face had nothing to do with the attention she's accrued is a little myopic. She would still be successful, regardless of her physical form because of the aforementioned, but I don't think she would get nearly as much attention without it. She would most likely just be seen as just another great guitarist playing in a great band, not someone making the news every other day.

She's a great guitarist, that can't be disputed. Unfortunately, her "Controlled Chaos" album is what happens when your boyfriend who is also your manager and an average drummer at best, is not only playing but is allowed far too much creative control on the record! There are some stand out moments, no doubt, but it's a mostly uninspiring collection of badly produced, over compressed, horribly mixed and soulless metal clichés.
The drums are quite simply ludicrous, they sound like they've sampled from a $40 beginner's keyboard! I get it, it's obviously not just his "talents" behind a drum kit that got him the gig, but I'm afraid his contribution to record is the crowning travesty of the whole project! As for the low end, well, what low end?! Again, I get that maybe she's not as confident with her bass playing so maybe it wasn't difficult to push it further and further back in the mix. Again though, when the drummer/manager/boyfriend has also got his hands on the mixing desk, the results are going to be predictable!
Am I "jealous"? No, don't be ridiculous. I'm not 15 years old and neither are you so please don't resort to the puerile. Can I "do any better"? No, absolutely not, my guitar playing is complete dogshit compared to hers. And? So what? Again, let's not be children.
I just think that with her obvious talents, range of influences and access to other great musicians, she could have done so much better. More than that, with it being a crowdfunded project, I think she owed something better to that crowd!
