I seen the announcement but didn’t srralize how controversial it was until Nita said something on IG about how mean spirited people were being towards Demi because of the change . Nita actually captures my eye a lot during Demi’s set from what I’ve seen online is demi fans are loving her and her talented isn’t going unnoticed . I’m super excited to get to have the privilege to see and hear Nita play live as well as demi , and I appreciate how you’re able to recognize how she’s not just being tossed to the background . Her moment during the song Happy Ending is unbelievable and powerful and emotive , please be kind to demi lol

Any working musician with skin in the game completely understood what the move was inspired by and would do the same. Not a hard decision if your a musician, big hefty raise, fresh faces in a much bigger audience and massive exposure to the previous catalogue vs playing the same old set for the same old money to shows sparsely full of 60-70 year old men. Happy anytime a musician gets a leg up in this world but especially a woman as I'm sure it's a lot harder for them to find these opportunities.

I'll be honest, i let go of any musical bias long ago. I used be very elitist but the one thing i have realized in my journey with music is you just have to let people do their thing and if you choose to keep up that means you were an A1 Day one to being with so at the end of the day sure it might be more of a pop direction but like you said man it's more exposure for guitar. So overall i'm proud and happy she's out there doing her thing. I love Metal but i also just love music life is to short to be so bias if it slaps it slaps...if it's trash it's trash, simple one for me.

Alice Cooper is my favorite artist. I knew of Nita before she joined because I had heard of the Iron Maidens and she had videos showing off guitars. I love Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, etc, but mostly these days I'm listening to top 40 radio. The current trend on the radio seems to be heavier music with female vocals. See Olivia Rodrigo's Good For You, Tate McCrae's She's All I Wanna Be, or Leah Kate's 10 Things I Hate About You. I ordered Demi Lovato's new album, even though Nita's not on it. I've liked some of Demi's hits, but never bought an album before. It's heavier than her previous stuff and also heavier than these radio songs I've mentioned. I think the pairing is going to help both of their careers. Also, she said she hasn't really quit Alice's band, so if we see a return, maybe some of these Demi fans might check out Alice Cooper to see her.

I first saw Jason Hook with Vince Neil many moons ago, then I surprised my daughter with tickets to Hilary Duff. The guitar player looked familiar to me, Duff had a little more distortion live than the usual Disney channel stuff, and I came out of there a fan. Go home researched her band, and to my surprise… Jason hook was her guitar player. I’m not happy Nita Left Alice, I’ve been a fan of hers since the Iron Maiden’s and got the chance to meet her when she was (just about all the maidens) playing with Femme Fatale at the M3 Rock fest and she’s a phenomenal person. So again, not happy she left Cooper, but happy because the next Nita Strauss will see her with Demi and pick up a guitar, might even be a Jiva…. And because a whole lot more people know who Nita Strauss is today. We should have taken a screen shot of her social media followers before and compare them to now. Go Nita! Pave your own road!

I like Nita, She’s Pretty cool and seems like a really nice person. SHe did another morning Show on Tv. I belive this is probably really a stepping stone till spring to probably breaking out with more gear and possibly her own album. SHe also says she hasn’t quit playing for Alice just not touring but may still be playing in on different occasions. Alice is cool too I love his night radio show but hes getting up there and maybe wanted to slow down too. People don’t realize the energy on stage. It is actually a great way to have a heart attack when you’re old it can really crank you like drinking 100 cups of strong coffee. I see guys out there at all like Keith Richards and Sammy Hagar still ripping it and they are huge inspirations hey maybe you can do this all your life if you want too. You only have certain shots at certain things at certain times so you may need to switch this moment we don’t want to take for a while we doing the road on one of the major they give you like no time when you’re going to somewhere else. I follow Dany and her sisters at the warning. I was really kind of surprised at the grueling schedule they were getting in and that was just a US tour. But a lot of these bands they have to play shut down get on a plane be somewhere else there is NO time for a delay or problem. It can get quite exhausting. I wouldn’t worry about Nita though unless shes the one complaining. Shes always done other things too like at sports arena playing a tune etc. i’m sure she’s got a lot of connections and a lot of opportunity everybody knows who she is and what she can do.
I would like to see her hook up with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm I think could use s second guitarist in the band to free her more on the vocals when she wales on it she really seems to shine on her vocals. I think shes got a lot more fame to be gained with number one hits coming someday. Who knows anything is possible

She has to pay the bills. And the new gig certainly is high exposure for her. And it's a live gig witch most musicians love. Better than being a studio musician. She gets to travel and meet new people and maybe business contacts. Playing outside your wheelhouse is expanding your Musicianship. Even the heaviest metal guitar 🎸 player can play other forms of music 🎵🎶 What's the issue. If all you do is see me sing does that mean I have no other interests in life? You hit the nail on the head with the idea that she is now exposed to a whole different audience. Nita sees herself as a female artist advocate and this is just going to solidify that role even more. The thing about pop musicians, yes the record label will hire studio musicians to play simple background parts for the recording, but the touring musicians often get picked specifically to spice up the performance as long they don't upstage the star. Guitar solos, more complex drum parts, etc

Like you said, it's a "win-win" for everybody. As far as the style of music is concerned, I honestly don't think music labels really matter anymore. One of the most interesting things about the current time we live in, is that ALL music styles are cool. Your band can play 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, pop, pop-punk, grunge, jazz, funk, alternative, bebop, r&b, sludge metal, rap, etc etc.... And you can mix all of those things together and as long as it creates a vibe it's totally cool. Everything goes musically and stylistically these days.

Honestly I think it was a smart move on her part. She is opening herself to even more audiences that didn’t know her, with that she’ll get even bigger and more known. Which ppl can say whatever they want, but more opportunities are good never bad. Who knows, we may see even more female shredders and not only that, but ppl in general, that never experienced guitar players that can do the cool shredder thing in the coming future. I think this is going to be awesome to watch in the next few years as far as guitar.

Most pop fans don't really know how amazing a great guitar solo can be. She will gain new fans, the guys will like her for her looks, girls will look up to her, check out her other bands, discover Alice Cooper, discover The Iron Maidens which leads to Iron Maiden. Nothing but good will come from this.

What if DL flips genres because of Nita's influence. It would be interesting to see a competent all girl rock band. All the parts are there to have something like the Runaways. Except with a hot rod modern shredder guitarist.

I never thought she was crazy. From a career perspective, it makes total sense. Probably from a financial viewpoint too, though i doubt she makes "truckloads" of money (no side(wo)man does). Besides, how long is Alice going to continue? Thinking ahead makes sense. And seeing that Demi wants to do rock with an all-female band, that's probably the place a female rock guitar player would want to be, from a career/exposure viewpoint.
And I have seen well-known guitar players do more unusual gigs than that. People criticising Nita should really look into what people like Greg Howe and Tony MacAlpine have been doing at times, just to name two. Being able to shred like a maniac does not necessarily pay the bills.

Not everyone was wrong. I was RIGHT as well as other fans of hers who stuck with her. I totally supported Miss Nita Strauss and was defending her on her move to Demi's band when she left the Alice Cooper band everywhere. i am by no means a Demi Lavato fan. But, I am however, a fan of Miss Strauss, She was not crazy. She is a musical genius much like her famous relative... classical composer Johann Strauss II (25 October 1825 - 3 June 1899),. Greatness is in her DNA.

A couple of observations...First, the first video referenced? Perhaps initially, Nita was just getting the feel for where she fit in with the group and how best to make her best contribution...Then once that initial "how can I improve everything Demi Lovato is trying to present" and not be "it's all about me," it seems "everyone" is in full sync! Second, from the maybe "it's all about me" perspective? Perhaps Nita wanted a change, or felt like she needed a change. Maybe she was searching for a new experience. Maybe she enjoys playing with Demi Lovato more from her personal perspective? Maybe it's all about her making herself happier!! Maybe we should also think about this...In the future...Who knows where's she's going to go and still keep improving (herself and where she lands as well) next!?!?! Life is too short to not enjoy doing what you are doing!! Great Video, Max. Please keep them coming!!

Forget about what band they played in before, forget about the attitude some rockstars have. I never thought Nita would be background scenery. Nita is a high profile, "in your face" performing guitarist and would never tolerate that. So it wouldn't even make sense for Lovato to bring her in to do that. Nita would never stay. My question was always geared more towards whether Lovato was wanting to expand more into Nita's territory or was Nita wanting to expand into Lovato's genre. Either would have been plausible, as musicians can get tired of doing the same old thing year after year and sometimes like to explore other worlds.

I think maximum 5-6 years with Demi, only if Demi changes to heavier music genres, that Nita gonna stay, otherwise Nita will look for a band after 5-6 years, or back doing her own solo project, that what I think.

  • @arturoestrada9441
    @arturoestrada9441 2 года назад

I think that as people who are not really familiar with Demi's work or pop in general we tend to overlook the fact that most pop artists tend to work with top tier producers, and Nita's recruitment into the band could most definetely be a producer aiming to incorporate shreddy stuff into Demi's music eventually, or Demi herself trying to add newer elements to her sound, both of those scenarios are a big win for guitar music in general. If Nita auditioned however, and Demi's team realized her stage presence contributions to the show and are actively giving her some spolight that can eventually lead to them adopting newer elements into their sound, which is great, I wanna hear some more guitar on the mainstream for a change.

So Demi is a great singer. That's not arguable at all. If her music is your bag or not...is totally subjective. I like..some of it. So far i'm not crazy about what i've heard of the output with Nita in the band, but here's the thing. Not everything Nita does, has to be my cup of tea. Even some of my favorite bands have done things that i'm not in love with. Nita is a pro guitarist and she took a gig with a tier 1 pop star. I would too, if given the chance. It gets her out in front of people that she would not have been in front of otherwise. it's a good thing. Nita is young. this doesn't have to be her forever home. Maybe, at some point in the future she goes back to Alice. Maybe, she does other things, some of them more metal, rock, or shred centric. Maybe she does more pop gigs. WHATEVER. It's her career. I don't have to love everything she does to be a fan, supportive, and happy for Nita's success.

He was well respected in the guitar community and so is Nina (She can actually play, unlike another blonde PRS guitar player) So no matter how this works out, she'll reach an audience she wouldn't have otherwise and I'm sure her bank account won't be getting overdrawn anytime in the near future.
