Best thing about this mod is it's completely clean and legit unlike earlier mods that tweaked .ini settings, which now is banned for Creations. Perfect solution does what it says on the tin with nothing else and works great. And once it is set it's so much easier than the fiddly work of using various glitch techniques.
Sadyr is a boss.. I was talking abut this mod in the Darkstar discord. and he jumped in almost immediately to walk me through some things I wasnt understanding.
From what I've read, the merge glitch being patched out was not a mistake, they did it on purpose. This is because they made it so modders could add options to the Gameplay Options menu. So if you find a mod called Ship Builder Configurator, that's exactly what it does! No need to fiddle with your .ini files. Just install the mod, load a save game, go into Gameplay Options and set the module offset to how you want it. As a bonus, the same mod also gives you an option for number of modules allowed and the size of the ship!
Bethesda obviously removed (the most utilised) glitches for a reason - I've read speculation that it may interfere with spawning of the Buggy? But it's slightly infuriating that there was no explanation made in the update notes or comment from BGS since.

Hey Crimson. There is a better mod, although it's on the Nexus: Ship Builder Configurator. It was just posted and seamlessly restores/allows slight overlap tolerance.
