Tascam TA 1VP Setup

This rack unit was sold to an eBay buyer, who complained that the pitch correction function wasn't turning on, and that there was no audible signal from the unit. I explained that it's most likely a setup issue and offered to guide him through it, he refused. Upon receiving the item back, I took this video to assure that it is indeed as described, without failure, and to instruct future users on some basic principles of the interface.

What kind of a cabel connects the ta1vp with the ur44?

with a quick google search: TRS stands for Tip, Ring, Sleeve and its basically just a quarter inch to quarter inch, in this case male to male, cable with three conductors instead of two, somebody correct me if I'm wrong I'm new to this. Basically just an XLR alternative to connect balanced audio devices?
