As a millennial in my mid 30’s, Hocus Pocus is such a core memory of my childhood. I now have 14 and 11 year old sons who have grown up watching it every year and we are having a movie night this weekend to watch both 1 & 2. It’s such a nostalgic feeling and getting to watch it with my kids is like getting to be a kid again. 💚💜❤️

I love hearing how movies that meant so much to people as children continue to last and when they grow up and have kids of their own they can share it with them and a whole new generation can fall in love with the movie.
A few years ago when they released the original The Lion King in 3D I saw a man taking his son to see it and realised that he was probably his sons age when it first came out and now he gets to share that same experience with his child. ❤️
This movie came out the year I was born, so it really hit in the feels.
You know parker is furious the attention is not on her. Distasteful woman indeed.
This is my FAVORITE Halloween movie. I can literally quote it because I watch it a few times every year 🥰. Glad to see there's finally a part 2...and the ladies look like they haven't aged a day ❤️

I don’t doubt that the lights are set up in a flattering way and it’s entirely possible that they have had some work done but if so, it’s all well done. Their faces still move and their lips aren’t over inflated - looking great indeed!

Hocus Pocus defines Halloween & to have the same cast is phenomenal. Bette said this is her favorite character to play of her whole career. "It's only hocus pocus"

I love Hocus Pocus! I have watched it every year since I was about 7 years old. I watch it around Halloween but sometimes I watch once months before. It’s a fun movie that brings me back to my childhood. For years I wanted a sequel and now it’s here. I can not wait to see it!
27 yrs ago I had my beautiful baby girl we have watched hocus pocus so many times throughout the yrs this yr we get to watch hocus pocus 2 with my daughter’s 4 yr old son Omgoodness 3 generation’s how wonderful is that
Watched about 2 hours ago, it didn't disappoint.... and the moment the 3 younger version of the sister's cast the spell; is amazing. U just look at them and see the sister's. Don't forget the throw backs to original movie, is historical too.
Kudos to those young actresses as they did amazing job of portraying the personalities of the sisters, I have to admit the first time they cast the spell i had chills.
Was trash per DIsney usual hence the bad ratings!

These 3 woman did such a amazing job portraying the sisters like not a day went by. You can tell this movie was made for the fans and didn’t go to crazy with it. I’m not a huge fan of Hocus Pocus but I love watching good movies and acting. That being said I couldn’t help smiling though the whole movie and crying at the end. Honestly the new kids were boring and I just wanted to watch the sisters
The new kids ....both the young witch.girls and the modern day kids were bratty and untalented.
Exactly all the new characters were boring and forgettable.
Honestly it was just another Disney film. They made sure to check off the boxes
Gay characters, gay black character, trans people, lesbian. You name it. And the only thing good about the film was the original actresses

It's rare, in this day and age to have a film that creates fond family memories. When I was growing up it was the Wizard Of Oz. It was on TV once every year. I so looked forward to watching it. Hocus Pocus is one of these films, and to have a Part 2, is terrific. Can't wait to watch it.
Wizard of oz for me too!! The music in that film is soooo nostalgic and sends me back to my grandmas house where we all watched together. Sad that many kids i know and care for today find that film boring and too slow 🥺😭 literally it is still one of the most magical movies to me- next to its a wonderful life

Hocus Pocus 2......terrible....desperate irrelevant actors in a desperate attempt to get noticed. If this movie would have opened in theaters, everyone would know how bad it was....I tried to watch it...bad acting, and just a bunch of kids doing the "I'm so cute" shtick. Just awful.
@@rt3593 true but the three witches are still fun and great actors. I had low expectations for this movie because of how terrible those kid actors looked in the trailer lol i just watched when original trio was on the screen.
Being a 2002 baby. I grew up watching this movie since I was 2. My family and I would all gather up and watch. My sister and I would sit on the floor and make a circle of our stuff-animals like it was the salt to protect us from them, lol. Such great memories! HP2 was a great sequel.
My love for the Sanderson Sisters is stronger than ever. My 32, 29 & 20 year old grew up on this gem. Thank You

First of all, for such a fun movie, the sisters still scared me and I feel the same today…at 31 years old. I’m so ready to see them both again.

I'm 49 years old and absolutely adore both films. My children are now 22 and 18 and exactly the same as they grew up watching the 1st one. What a fantic cast! Sistaaaas!
My dad used to tape movies/tv shows for me as child, things he knew I would like. I remember him telling me he taped a halloween movie for me, and I went home played the tape and it was Hocus Pocus, and I kept playing it over and over. I wish I still had the video it had 90s commercials on it, such nostalgia.

It is not a classic, it's an extremely mediocre run of the mill Hollywood movie. Midler Always overacts. It's painful to watch her in movies.
As a mom, I loved sitting with my children to watch the sequel! I don't care about the ratings. If people were disappointed because it wasn't good, all I have to say is that it isn't meant to win an oscar...it's supposed to be a fun nostalgic movie and it delivered the fun and nostalgia!
I'll never understand why it wasn't a smash hit from the very beginning! I loved it, but I often don't agree with the "critics" that IMO are too overly focused on things that don't matter to the viewer. These movies often become a "cult classic", but to me that just means the movie was good and the critics got it wrong!
I’m 27 years old. Idk if Bette or Sarah J or Kathy will see this, but this sequel meant so much to me. Hocus Pocus 1 was such a huge part of my childhood and made the Halloween season special. Thank you for doing a sequel for us millennials-and all the other fans. It was brilliant. ❤️
They still look as beautiful as the day that they first made this movie together it’s amazing how beautiful they still look after all these years I love these three ladies

I loved hocus pocus. It was one of my favorite Halloween movies and still watch it every year when it's on tv around Halloween. Can't wait for the second movie. Couldn't have picked a better cast for both Halloween movies. They were all so funny and haunting.🙀🎃

I loved the first hocus pocus movie! I have watched it numerous times over the years and enjoy it every time. The 3 actresses playing the witches are fantastic.. I know hocus pocus 2 will be great!! I first saw Hocus Pocus when I was about 6years old and I'm 32 now. I'm so glad to have a part 2. I think they did a fantastic job. I really loved how you got to understand their mentality as kids. Just fantastic.

I grew up and always loving this movie. When Disney would give the Halloween show it was always my fav. I’m happy the 1st movie was a huge success even with all the doubts they had. The 2nd one was more sentimental because I love my sister.
My Mom & I loved the movie back then. I grew up a fan of Bette's and Sarah, as for Kathy I loved her in Sister Act 1 & 2.
Sarah and Bette was in The First Wives Club together with Goldie Hawn.
As Bette Midler's number one fan (Yes I said it!) I just remember being a kid in 93' seeing this Iconic movie! It's truly a childhood gem! I remember how Halloween was so festive in costumes, candy, celebration before all this sick change in society! It just takes me back in a time where it was just so fun and growing up in the 90s where we unapologetically ran wild with our imaginations! Here's to part 2 for the kid in all of us!!!
It is not iconic. It's a very mediocre movie where Midler once again overacts as usual.

Amazing yes, if one does not care about the screen writer’s total disregard of the original, what made it great, spooky, fun and turning the sequel into “they were all not that bad” girl friendship teen movie.

The first one is a staple of Halloween in our house. I shared it with my kids and grand kids and now I'm sharing with my great grand kids.
Two of my fav halloween films, Hocus Pocus and Halloween town; those movies were so well made 🔥

The movie was great! So fun and the ending was a tear jerker. The original has been my favorite Halloween movie since i could remember enjoying films. I appreciate that i have something new my kids can experience now as well
As audience we were found of the idea of having part 2 of Hocus pocus , we love these lovely ladies leading the roles and depending on these 3 gifted actresses to materialize the characters and folding time again with Magic , we also hope to see other actors from part 1 in another sequel of the movie or in an interview at least , well done all .
I see there's a lot of us in our 30s with kids who love this movie and get to feel like kids all over again watching this movie and getting to share with our kids. Love the Sanderson sisters. I also noticed that since the 2nd movie came out there's more merchandise in stores, cause before it would just be a few items every year.

My kids were born after the original was made, but I had them watch it when they grew up a bit so I could show them the filming done in Salem where I grew up. Yes, I attended that school, Philips School in 6th grade. Lots of great memories of a beautiful city.
I don’t know why SJP gets a bad rep. She always seems genuine, heartfelt, and like she enjoys acting. 💖
The first movie was and still is a HUGE hit, despite not being diverse. That means a movie doesn't have to be diverse to be a hit, it just has to be good!!!!
Even as a Mexican, I low-key get annoyed at everything focusing on just diversity of race, then they make a bad movie. Bruh! Just make a good movie first! They did the same thing with the new Resident Evil movie, it's diverse, but I don't care cuz it sucks. Plus I related more to the family sibling dynamic in the OG, than whatever was in the new one. I don't care if the whole OG main cast was White, and I'm not White, still more relatable to me and way better character development than part 2's main heroes.
