Weird time signatures and seamless transitions are my jam. That’s why Phish, Zappa, Talking Heads have been favorite bands of mine for 30 years and why pretty much any bands who play KEXP sets get a lot of air play from me. Goat Girl, King Gizzard, The Oh Sees, Khruangbin and so many other phenomenal musicians have multiple sets on this channel. One of the few channels that I have notifications on for.

They take me back to my youth listening to short grunge tracks full of emotion but you have to play them on repeat because they only play for a minute. A very rare band right here x
These women are nothing short of remarkable. Why on earth are they another obscure band in the US. We've had over 45 years to understand the indie bands and still this country is ignorant.
for the first time, really wishing there were a mid-line thumbs up-ish button. ....keep waiting for their UNLEASH moment or something more significant. want to love as much as i am wanting to love.
The guitar tone reminds me a little bit of The Fall's early period, but they don't sound like them. They definitely have an original thing going, which is hard to pull off these days.
one of my favorite musicians of all time, Jeffrey Lee Pierce would have loved this, especially Viper Fish. this was an awesome performance and a great reminder why i keep KEXP as one of my (few) Notifications on yt
I am always searching for new bands. Yes their sound is a mix of times of artist and has multiple influence. With what they are doing is making the music that sounds good to them and playing with their souls. Hopefully they make it to the States and I can see them. Keep rocking your own way
I want you to write a 5-page dissertation on what you just wrote. At the end of your effort you will come to the same conclusion that I immediately did after reading your comment. And that is that you have no f'ing idea what your are talking about.
this is quite interesting. kinda psy desert country. like it was born in Barsto, lived in 60s San Fran for a bit then moved to Nashville for work. it's good! the guitars are a bit bright and dry for my taste.
Wow this is my first time listening and you all are all amazing! I really liked the drumming. It reminded me of Sara Lund who is maybe my favorite drummers ever! 😀😀

Merci tu es le meilleur
This is a full show!!
Love the vocal harmonies, the tempo change ups, and the unconventional vibes.
In other words, you have no f'ing idea what they are doing either.....just like them.
It's a bit of ska vibe, like the specials - laid back reggae tempo, then suddenly whoop it up!

Saw them when they were an opener for a King Gizzard show of around 150 people at a bar back in 2017! So great to see them here.
Oof that would have been an amazing show, I am very jealous!

What an excellent hidden gem of a show
Seen their performance a hundred of times; I always come back; amazing! I love these musicians, the best rock band today.
Hello Jean how are you doing hope you’re doing okay ✅
KEXP is like the KROQ of Los Angeles/Pasadena for today's music. I absolutely love KEXP.
A half hour so well spent. Thanks!
They take me back to my youth listening to short grunge tracks full of emotion but you have to play them on repeat because they only play for a minute. A very rare band right here x
They’ve got almost this middle eastern inspired/surf rock sound. Super badass
Check out HABIBI
Beautiful in all respects
This is some of the best music/icians I have had the pleasure of hearing in quite the while.
O_O
Great melancholy harmony with a surf guitar like sound. Really cool.
Supporting Sleaford Mods in Dublin this Sunday Nov 2021 - Bring it on, looking forward to seeing them live.
It's 2 AM when I stumbled upon Goat Girl... thank you!!!
There's always time for Goat Girl
Wow the quality on this is amazing. Fantastic work, sounds and looks brilliant! Very cool band!
Finally! A Goat Girl performance in KEXP!!
Loving every minute of it

@@adriancasas5432 Me parece que ese término es más utilizado en Estados Unidos. En cualquier caso, Goat Girl es ambas 🤠
KEXP ❤️ Goat Girl ❤️
Only just found Goat Girl on KEXP. Sadly never heard them before. Finding them has got to be a good start to the New Year! 😉
I hit thums up when I heard Cherryl talking. Pitty they don't allow double thumbs up, because this band is very worth it.
Those tempos changes in that first song was dope
These women are nothing short of remarkable. Why on earth are they another obscure band in the US. We've had over 45 years to understand the indie bands and still this country is ignorant.
Man I am loving this gig. What a great sound they have!!
Yeah, right. Keep trying to convince yourself of that.
@@Proudmule1 bro stfu with the negativity and let people enjoy it

I just love that twang, and the drummer.
Really creative!

Girls serving fun diligently different musical tapas. The kind of band best experienced as a surprise.
It is better to love than be loved
This band goes harddd
This band goats harddd

country teasers on half speed
They supported the Falls last gig before Mark e died, also Lottie lead guitar singer quotes them as influence
I miss going to gigs 😪 💔
This is awesome. It's like a blend of some of my favorite bands like La Femme, Grizzly Bear, King Gizzard
a bit of la luz as well...the country vibe and vocal harmonies
Love them!!!
Hello Barbara how are you doing hope you’re doing okay ✅
Excellent
Wow! This is great! Goat Girl is definitely unique and original.
First listen, rocker chicks are tripping hard, great stuff, new fan!!
Nice to see them jamin squire guitars and bass... wont be for long. Fender will hook them up after this.

KEXP gets so much of my screen time. I’ve learned about so many bands who are pushing the envelope musically from them
So cool see them in KEXP
Wow! Amazing!
Besides Goat Girl being virtually unknown in the US, which is a crying shame, they are all great musicians, the drummer is hot.
Sounds like...them! Great job very original and true, thanks!
Ugh, no
OHHHH. Me encanta. Bella banda
Hello Jean how are you doing hope you’re doing okay ✅
Perfect combo KEXP + GOAT GIRL 🏆🥁🎸🎧🎹🎤🎼🏆
I heart goat girl!!!
Love the tempo changes. I like all of the music, but I really loved the way you made time go slower in the first song (for example).
Beautiful,diggin' it.
fantastic!!

Goat Girl in plain Clash Day solar eclipse. What else can you ask?
I like that.
Well, I'm asking that I never heard one note of this talentless drivel.
Saw them live as they were supporting band to The Raconteurs (Jack White) in Cologne, Germany. Great show!
feel like I am at a show again - but with wholesale beer prices
I'm man with goat girl brain... Dis tempo is owesome... 💀👌
most motivated drummer
I love it
It's country music played drunk and on acid.🥰👍
With a side of quaaludes
Love the ‘ludes !
The slightly dissonant tonal selection is really neat. Not *quite* right, but not wrong, in an artistic way.

Это лучшая прог-рок-группа 21 века!
Только сейчас узнал что там девушки играют. Обычно они в масках выступают.
The songwriting, the vocals and time changes really remind me of Throwing Muses (in a really happy way)!
That was my first thought as well...including the "happy" part.
4 songs in. They sound great!!!!
The drummer is super cute 🥰
Well after 12 minutes I declare myself completely underwhelmed - thank-you girls.

my mind think of this as soft grunge(njot sure if that exists), what would be the right way to call this kind of music? sounds great tho
Definitively! Sounds alot like Hole 🙂
Goat girl, I think Hollywood stopped, before coronavirus, love interest in their blockbusters, not in my name , endeavour to stay free,
Goat girl is like being on a merry- go-round going backward as it suddenly slows down and then goes forward..

Gonna go down like a knackered lift in front of LG's crowd. Will be an utter car crash lol
