@@singingzoo yeah I have - but thank you! I love every second of it. Would have been interested in how this slightly different band make-up and the energy on that day would have interpreted it. But it's an older song, and they were focusing more on the newer albums I know.
I'm still here for this. Every time I have a new favorite thing - the way the drummers find the off-beat rhythms together, the solos and the harmonies, the way some songs breath and others maximize and fill every space. The dancing, the tears, the silk suits and the bare feet. Thank you all for each note, it still carries me.
me too! I play this through while I work over and over - it has a happy vibe, and the quality of every moment is brilliant. Still finding magical and new gems like the increasing pressure on the percussion at 23:53 - it's always something.
With Love and so much Gratitude to Nick, Amelia and every member of the band, sound, and film crew and anyone else who made this gift possible. This pandemic has been so depressing with the loss of concerts for us music lovers, but Sylvan Esso has been so caring and full of life and sharing their amazing friends’ musical talents is such a gift! I’m in tears...this was so much fun. I felt every bit of it. I could feel the love and admiration you had for each other. So lovely to see! 👍❤️
PPPfffffthe fuckin band is crazy.... Drums, is insane. honestly wtf... saxophone is ON THE FUCKIN POINT... Back VOCals are like PERFECt! and there's the actual band Amelia and Nick ... the best fuckin thing.... feeling every bit of that magical moment!
It’s like watching a delicate spiderweb being constructed. All these elegant little strands being weaved together to make something strong and beautiful. So inspiring.
in the level of collective musicianship, song crafting and sound engineering, this reminds me of the Silkroad Ensemble. wonderful, over and over and over again.
Right! One silver lining of the pandemic, as Nick says, that they could actually get everyone together. It's an incredible group and combination of characters and talents.
It seems very unfair that one woman can have that voice, that face, and fill out that bra. The weird thing is, I'm a cis male and I'm not supposed to be jealous or catty about this, but I feel my claws coming out. That bitch!
Would love to see a festival lineup with Bon Iver, Kevin Morby, War on Drugs, Mountain Man, and Sylvan Esso but the last set is WITH. Or just to see WITH on tour.
I don’t know why this popped up on my feed. I wasn’t aware of any of these people before this. But the thumbnail intrigued me, i wanted to know what music would make someone look like that. What an extraordinary performance from a gifted group of musicians. I couldn’t stop watching and have now clocked up six full views so far. And by virtue of all the people involved I’m now going down lots of branching rabbit holes discovering new stuff. As an aside, and I feel bad singling out one person amongst so many incredible performances but Meg Duffy’s guitar playing in Rewind is sublime - it made the hairs goes on up on the back of my neck. I genuinely don’t think i could be without this now, thank you.
@@richardhall5489 Thanks for the heads-up. I watched and loved both of their Tiny Desk Concerts. And then I watched their NPR live concert as well. There’s always further to go down the rabbit hole right?

Hi Sylvan Esso ~ i used to work for the military and have PTSD. I just wanted to thank you for having such lovely songs. Its helped me cry and release some stuff... Your songs have given me great comfort thank you. Have a good year ahead, all the best, Kieron UK. ~ ~ ~ much love
I remember when Adam Duritz said "We feel like we really know how to play our songs now" about Counting Crows. This little live concert makes me think of this. Sylvan Esso have always been a favourite of mine but WOW! This demonstrates how a band can completely understand each other's moves and produce some of the best music, techically and emotionally, I've ever heard.
There aren't a lot of things that make me as happy as Sylvan Esso live with the full band. Thank you, beautiful people ❤️ (and Alexandra looks so badass here 😎)
I have been watching this at least twice a month, since its inception. I hope, artistically (in the future) you return to a format like this. Love Sylvan Esso... Just a fan sayung more fan stuff, i guess. Peace
This video has seemingly followed me around RUclips for months. I've regularly seen it in my suggestions but had no idea who Sylvan Esso was so I never clicked it. A couple weeks ago I rediscovered the band Wye Oak, which led me to the band Flock of Dimes with Jenn Wasner from Wye Oak, which led me to the band Mountain Man with Molly, Amelia, and Alexandra who sing with Flock of Dimes, which led me to a Tiny Desk concert with Sylvan Esso, which made this video pop up in my suggestions once again. Sorry RUclips, next time i'll just trust you.
Jen Wasner on bass with the Mountain man crew! Molly's last record is one of my all time favorites. Wye Oak is another favorite band of mine, This is just beyond amazing!
My face hurts from smiling for the last 43 minutes. Such a stunning band, so much fun being had, so much talent, so original and enjoyable. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It's such a treat, pure pleasure. I just love the collective respect and energy, the smiles, Jenn Wasner being just lovely, Nick just basking in the wonder of it all, Alexandra and Molly off on an interplanetary journey of some kind, and the polyrhythmic intricacy of the drums and piano and bass... I'm overflowing.
I'd love to be sitting in the middle of them all playing here, truly amazing. The first song I ever heard was Coffee and everything since has been a magical journey... Thank you, I hope to hear your music for many years to come.. can't wait for what you do next 🙏😊
Nick has clearly perfected the art of dressing for comfort and it makes me re-examine my life choices. I love you all! Thank you for this absolute gift of a concert.
You know the feeling when you climb atop a mountain on a grey day and see a ray of sunlight piercing through the clouds lighting up a patch of the valley in front? That s how their music makes me feel

The Rooftop Dancing performance was perfection Also, you're the only person where a camera can be placed directly under your face at that angle and still look gorgeous
