- Prince tennis is back with the new Beast 100!
bit.ly/2mS6P8b
Prince updates the Warrior 100 with a new name and better feel. It also has a slightly different different string pattern (16x19 as opposed to 16x18). This racquet is endorsed by John Isner and it's called the Beast 100. Like the Warrior 100, the Beast 100 packs a seductive combination of power, precision and spin. At 11.2 ounces strung, this stick is not only mobile enough for intermediates, but it also has just enough stability and plow-through for the more advanced player. The Beast 100 features the second generation of Textreme. In addition to increasing stability, this material technology is updated with Twaron, an aramid fiber designed to dampen the feel and improve the sound of ball impact. On groundstrokes, the Beast 100 feels a tad firmer and more precise than the O3 Beast 100. Full swings deliver impressive power, and the open 16x19 string pattern supplies the needed bite for bringing the ball down sharply with spin. It's also fast and whippy enough for cranking winners on the run. At net the Beast 100 offers quick handling, making it easy for you to react quickly to incoming heat or pounce when opportunity knocks. Aggressive servers will find enough power and spin to force weak replies, and the speedy feel definitely helps on service returns where this stick comes around fast to deliver easy targeting. Ultimately, the Beast 100, with its crisp and spin-friendly precision, is a great option for intermediate and advanced players looking to play aggressive tennis.
This is one helluva Racket....Great power but controlled, great spin and depth. Very easy on the arm. I had been using Wilson clash 100, Babolat pure strike po7 and Yonex Vcore pro 310. All great rackets but found Beast the best
I bought one. Great spec. Great racket. I also have a yonex ezone DR 100 and the newer ezone 100. I prefer playing with this Prince Beast. But they all are similar.
Hi TW team! Between this one, beast 98, warrior 100, tour 95 and tour 100p, what would be more arm friendly?
Thanks!
Hi jason, Do you prefer this prince beast 100 or your babolat pure strike 98 ?
I was afraid this question would get asked one day. And I guess today is that day. This is one tough question. In some ways, I do prefer the Beast over the Pure Strike. I feel like I get more free power and depth with the Beast. Sometimes too much power. But I like how the Pure Strike feels more. It has a more responsive feel and feedback that I like. It's tough for me because I like using the Pure Strike more because of the feel and it's just a racquet I'm used to, but I can't argue with the results. And with the Beast, I can win points easier and be more offensive. I'd recommend you demo both and see which you like more. I'd also recommend you throw the Yonex EZONE 100 in there as well.
Jason, TW
Hi Jeson, how does it feel compared to the Ezone ai100 we both have been using for a while ?
@TW Hello :) Will Prince release the 2020 line of this racquet soon? I've tried to find this version but most are either on clearance or completely out of stock.
@DHP,
At this time, we haven't heard of any new 2020 Beasts.
Sorry!
Michelle, TW
Hello TW! How does it compare to Clash 100 in terms of control and precision? Thanks
Pretty similar in terms of precision, maybe a bit more control from the Clash 100. Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse Thanks Troy!
Hello how different is the 280g vs 300g and if i did buy the 280g would i be able to customize it to match the 300g
Not hugely different, mostly just the 20 gram difference and maneuverability. However the swingweight isn't hugely different so probably wouldn't be too difficult to customize. That said, 20 grams is quite a bit of weight to add to a racquet. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse would there be any issues with adding that much weight since i would be putting the majority of that weight on the handle by putting led tape on the base grip
What items do u guys use for record all the data? like spin speed and so on ?
@Tobias Christensen,
We use Playsight, which is connected to our TW indoor court.
Troy, TW
There was mention of the Pure Drive, what are the main differences between this racquet and a Pure Drive?
@DeceitfulDestiny,
This Prince Textreme Beast 100 has better comfort, and has a bit better control. The Pure Drive has a stiffer feel, and is not as comfortable on the arms. The Pure Drive also possesses a bit more power.
Troy, TW
Which is more powerful between the ported version of this racquet and the wilson clash?
We would give the edge in power to the o3 Beast 100. Troy, TW
Can you mention specs of the overgrip that ypu use? The green one.
I don't believe we have that particular grip any longer, it was a Prince overgrip, that was more of a dry feel somewhat like Tourna Grip. We find the Yonex Dry Grap to be a great option for a more dry absorbent feel. Troy, TW
Hi TW team, can you please compare the textreme beast 100 to the textreme warrior 100? do you think moving from the warrior to the beast would be an upgrade?
Thanks,
Gilad
@Gilad Shayan,
The Textreme Beast 100 is definitely an easy transition from the Textreme Warrior 100. The main difference being the extra cross string, with this new Beast 100 having a 16x19 string pattern. This provides just a bit more control to a relatively powerful powerful racquet, without sacrificing comfort or spin.
Troy, TW
Tennis Warehouse, which one of the two Warrior or the Beast would be an ideal racquet for the beginner-intermediate player looking for consistency, control and feel with good power/spin potential ?
How would you compare this raquet to the new Yonex sv 100?
@Olivier Bado,
This Beast 100 provides more comfort, and a bit more control. The Yonex VCORE 100 feels stiffer, and is a bit more powerful.
Troy, TW
Is it more powerfull and stiff than the old warrior 100?
@thomas drz,
We found this Textreme Beast 100 to be a bit easier to control, having an extra cross string compared to the Textreme Warrior 100. It is slightly stiffer than the Warrior 100, but we still found it to be relatively comfortable.
Troy, TW
I have to buy a new babolat pure aero team. Should I buy babolat pure aero team or prince textreme beast 100
@Shailendra Is Here,
Both are great options. We find the Textreme Beast 100 to have a bit more comfort, and a bit better control. The Pure Aero Team feels a bit more powerful. Both are great for spin potential.
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks Tennis Warehouse for suggesting me and preferring a good racket for me.
Hello TW,
what is the best prince racket for a agressive baseliner i play competition
@Matin,
There are a few good options, depending on your preference in feel. The
Textreme Beast 100 has a firm/crisp feel, with easy access to power and
spin. The Textreme Beast 98 is just a slightly more control
oriented version of the 100. The Phantom Pro 100P is super plush on
contact (classic feel), and has great control and spin. If you want
something that fits in-between these racquets, you could go with the
Textreme Tour 100P. Ideally if you could demo some of these racquets,
that would be helpful in finding the right feel for your game.
Troy, TW
I am a player with less power, which racket should i use...
@Shailendra Is Here,
This is a great option, as well as the Babolat Pure Drive.
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse But which model of babolat pure drive
@Shailendra Is Here,
It depends on how heavy you like your racquet. The standard weight (300 grams unstrung) is a pretty popular option.
Troy, TW
Prince lightning 100
Does it play similar to the Babolat Pure Drive?
Yes, but with more comfort. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse same power level?
Should I get the beast 100 or beast 98?
Both are great options. If you want a bit more power, spin, and maneuverability go with the 100. If you want a bit more control, and plow through, go with the 98. Troy, TW
this racket has a 69 ra is it still good to go high tension poly in it
@George Whitelaw,
We found this racquet to have 67 RA (strung), which would be about 69 RA (unstrung). I don't typically recommend going much higher than 55 pounds with a co-poly string. That said, this racquet is more comfortable than most racquets with similar specs, (in the tweener to modern player racquet categories). I think it really comes down to your sensitivity to a stiff string bed. Some will be fine with a tension in the 55-60 pound range with a co-poly, but I would likely be in the 48-53 pound range.

Tennis Warehouse thansk
Has anyone heard rumors about a limited version? maybe a camo PJ?
Jason, where can I get this shirt?!
Right here: www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpage-TWMHSTS.html.
Troy, TW
It's funny when you string at 52 lbs and complain about too much power. It's ok to string higher.
@R S,
We try and agree on tension for the playtest as some of us like to string in the high 50s (like myself) and others prefer something in the high 40s. So we usually settle on something in between that works for everyone. Then, we can adjust string tension accordingly for our individual preferences and styles of play :)
Michelle, TW
Understood. Thanks Michelle. :)
