Thank you so much for this thorough review! I have zero knowledge about coding and your guidance in this regard is much appreciated. Now I also care a lot about freedom of design so the final question I need to answer is whether I want to embarc in depending of external help to eventually design freely with Webflow or whether I choose peace of mind and less design freedom by joining squarespace :) that's the final conundrum. I love your style, simply effective and sharp, thanks :)
Excellent review. I’d be interested in your opinion of squarespace vs framer. Framer seems to be more of a drag and drop workflow. Thank you for the knowledge, David
Have no idea why you don't have more views, this is the best video comparing the two I've come across and I've watched A LOT! I would kiss you if I could, am that grateful for helping me decide. Need to put up a new site and was considering WF, but tried out the interface (I used to teach web development, so I know div blocks, etc.) but these days, I'm not so ambitious. Just want to get a great looking site up. Thank you, thank you. And of course I subscribed, you are hands down the best.
Wow, thank you! You are soooooooo kind! Def. check out our designer starter kit if you are looking for additional help with setup :) spacebaragency.com/designer-kit
Thank you for an honest review. I found editor x really hard to get mobile friendly and was a breath of fresh air using squarespace. I kept thinking do i want to learn a platform that is more flexible but you've made some really good points. 👍
@@meetdavidalex yeah I'd be interested to know your opinion on framer, I saw people have to pay extra to be a designer on a client website though which doesn't seem great.
Hi there. Is the link to a consultation-by-the-minute already posted here (or somewhere)? You mentioned that in this video. I want to take advantage of your help if there's one already. Thanks!
Hi Billy! Awesome! We stopped the per-minute feature as the software wasn't the best but we still offer consults. I would love to help you answer any questions you have - here is my link: go.davidalex.com/consult
So webflow is like sublime or brackets just brought to general public and say it’s a designer tool which it is but on a subscription. Nice idea. Good marketer there
I'm blogger and wanted to leave Wordpress, so I tested Webflow, Ghost and Squarespace. First I was impressed by all the shiny well-designed sites made with Webflow - but as you say in your video, you need a bit of coding knowledge. Beside this, the surface of Webflow is just puzzling. So to save time I quickly decided to leave the Webflow path and went to Squarespace. Building up a website there is just fun! There's no better platform if you wanna work fast and don't wanna care about coding!
Yes!!!! Webflow is a bit deceitful when they make it seem 'so easy to do anything.' If you have any questions on Squarespace, reach out to us at spacebaragency.com we love SS
@@meetdavidalex Thank you for the hint :-)! Furthermore, the Webflow surface with its tiny symbols can drive you crazy when you've got a small screen ...
Squarespace is trash. It’s like those sites for simpletons when they want to make a business card or send an e-greeting card. It’s for unskilled noobs and the sites made from Squarespace look very basic and amateurish. Squarespace is mainstream trash.
I have many radio shows in mp3 format since 1988. These are my own episodes of my radio show, in transition. Webflow has a CMS option that would allow me to import a CSV file of my shows based on headers such as show name, show date, year, for my castos podcasts etc... that will match up with fields created in the CMS option. Can squarespace do some similar so that it would give me more freedom regarding laying out my episodes etc....?
Great question. For full control, webflow is your best bet !!!! For squarespace, you would have to ‘force’ it. With webflow, you can customize the css to work exactly as you want. It just has to be made from scratch so a bit of web experience is important.

@@meetdavidalex thank you! I’ll check out the link. Have some thoughts concerning Squarespace freelancing.
