I'm on Squarespace 7.0 and happy with the design. I use Brine Family / Margot Template. Is there a way to find out which 7.1 template would give me a good start to match what I have with Margot? I suppose I could spend time to go through each 7.1 template. If I want to closely match my 7.0 design, would you suggest I should choose build custom with Blueprint or just keep browsing existing 7.1 template design options? The clock is ticking when I start the process since we get only 14 days plus one extra week to get it done without being charged for a second account. Thanks!
Very helpful about the fact that all these Templates are the same. One question: I bought my domain and website with Squarespace, then once I had designed the layout and several pages that The Domain name was slightly wrong. I purchased a second Domain name with the Correct name. Neither are published. I am still building the original. Is my best bet to just transfer/copy over pages from the wrong domain name site ~over to the right Domain name? Or is that even possible? Any help will be appreciated. many thanks.

You can but you need to start a new website. There, unfortunately, is no simple feature to go from 7.0 to 7.1. It's completely manual. I'm releasing a video soon on this process!!
I created my squarespace website a few years ago. I have new work I want to add plus start an online shop on it. When I went to update it I realised they'd changed the system and brought out a newer version. Do you think I should upgrade to the new version or just stick to my old site? Sorry if this is confusing, I know I'm not using the correct terminology! Thanks.
I just figured out that people don't realize they can click on the Flat Iron template thumbnails and that they open into a gallery of photos. Can I switch templates to one of the newer 7.1 templates? How will this effect my search engine rankings?
To clarify in designing a new 7.1 site any tips to create a speedy downloading site template to use? Max number of fonts? Font sizes? Keep it hosted on squarespace? Cloud flare? Go daddy? Does it make a difference? I am a photographer and try to shrink all photos in tinypng. Looking to avoid errors. Thanks!

They don't have many for online shop and is difficult for me to find something
