Thank you!!🥰 nope, the only limit is the 14 day free trial for each site so you'll want to set a reminder every 14 days to avoid paying the subscription for each of your templates! It's up to the customer to purchase their subscription once you transfer the site to them! You can let them know in your product description that they get a 14 day free trial to edit their site before launching!

This was so helpful, thank you so much! From what I understood from your video, you keep duplicates of all the templates you sell - may I ask for what purpose? As a reference for future designs? I am just thinking of the backlog of sites you must duplicate regularly to keep all those going…
We don’t keep all duplicates! we delete the templates that expire and we also remove ourselves from the sites we transfer over to clients after they’ve purchased! so we’re left with about 9 sites (give or take) on our dashboard at any given time! i hope that makes sense :) and we just set a reminder on our calendar of when sites will expire to go in and update them, so it only takes a few minutes every two weeks to keep them up to date!

I have a few questions I hope they get answered 😢 I want to start selling square space templates. Say I purchase the personal plan, and I create a template and sell to someone, would they need to purchase a package to launch their website? Question 2: if they already have a domain elsewhere, can I suggest to them to get hosting elsewhere other than square space in case they don’t have to purchase the package?

We don't pay for any membership or subscription on squarespace! every design we do is just a free trial that we duplicate to keep active. if you don't see the "create your own template" option, you can always use one of their pre-made templates and customize it to make your own designs! hope that helps!
I think squarespace now doesnt expire the domain name. I saw This is your built-in Squarespace domain. Your site can always be accessed from this domain and it never expires.

you're so welcome! and yes, if you can find a designer who is open to selling the commercial rights then that's a great option! we have some templates linked in the description that are PLR (private label rights) and you can take them and re-sell them as your own!

thanks so much!! and yes, you would duplicate each time someone purchases and then you would remove yourself as a contributor! it’s a little annoying to do each time but we just batch orders together within a 24 hour period and do them all at the same time so we aren’t going back and forth to our computer! as far as a price point, a lot of them start at around $100 and go up to $250+! We have a “mini” template that we sell for $100 and it only has 3 pages! so it really depends how thorough the site is and what you believe is a competitive price for your work and time invested! hope that helps :)

The only way I can think of doing this is “saving” the section by hitting the heart icon! Then when you go to another page, add your section from “saved sections” and it’ll have the same effects on it! I don’t think there’s a way to only copy the background over so that’s the way I would do it!
Thanks so much! you can definitely sell on other platforms, but etsy is a search engine that already has customers searching throughout their site. so you have an upper hand if you can utilize keywords to rank higher, plus it’s virtually free to host your products (besides small fees) vs creating/designing your own site from scratch, having to pay to host your site & running ads, etc to get traffic! if you can do multiple platforms that’s ideal, but we always suggest to start on etsy since it’s super easy to begin with!
@@sherada great question! while you can sell them as is, we suggest making small tweaks like swapping out the images, fonts and colors so you can have a bunch of variations and that way they aren’t the exact same! so while some may keep the same layout, they’ll have a completely different look overall with those small adjustments! hope that helps ☺️
I really don't understand why, but I don't have the option " create my own template " when im on Squarespace. I juste have many templates that I can choose but not the option to create from scratch. HELP!

hii, ive tried to take screenshots of my squarespace templetes with gofullpage but it doesnt work. i reached out to them, and they said that it isnt possible in preview mode, and that i would have to officially publsih the site! do you have a trick to do this?
No you don't need the subscription! If you dont see it at the top, you can scroll down and should see it about half way down on the same page! Hope that helps :)

other platforms, but etsy is a search engine that already has customers searching throughout their site. so you have an upper hand if you can utilize keywords to rank higher, plus it’s virtually free to host your products (besides small fees) vs creating/designing your own site from scratch, having to pay to host your site & running ads, etc to get traffic!
if you can do multiple platforms that’s ideal, but we always suggest to start on etsy since it’s super easy to begin with!
How often do you update the private label templates? I’m just wondering how it’s going to work with a thousand of us selling the same templates 😊
@@sherada great question! while you can sell them as is, we suggest making small tweaks like swapping out the images, fonts and colors so you can have a bunch of variations and that way they aren’t the exact same! so while some may keep the same layout, they’ll have a completely different look overall with those small adjustments! hope that helps ☺️
I really don't understand why, but I don't have the option " create my own template " when im on Squarespace. I juste have many templates that I can choose but not the option to create from scratch. HELP!

hii, ive tried to take screenshots of my squarespace templetes with gofullpage but it doesnt work. i reached out to them, and they said that it isnt possible in preview mode, and that i would have to officially publsih the site! do you have a trick to do this?

No you don't need the subscription! If you dont see it at the top, you can scroll down and should see it about half way down on the same page! Hope that helps :)
