WOW Ana, your Aloe collection is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and you have a fantastic large collection of so many different Aloes, they are all so stunning and AWESOME care tips and info you have shared about these stunners, thanks so much for sharing this fantastic video on your Aloes with us Ana, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and CAFFEINE and PLANT POWER to Las Vegas for a wonderful Sunday XXXX
Lovely collection of Aloes, Ana 😊 The snowstorm you sent me has turned into a huge multiheaded plant now. I'm not a fan of its stress colours either lol. Thank you for sharing with us as always. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜☕
You have a terrific collection of Aloes. Beautiful varieties. The Aloe tarantula is so cool! I was unaware about Aloe mites, very useful info. I'll have to check out that video out. Thanks
I absolutely love your collection!!!! In fact, when I started following you, I fell in love with Aloes and now have quite a few myself. The big issue for me is that I am in Canada’s West Coat where it rains a lot so I bring them all inside for most of the year and they have to live under growlights. Thank you so much for showing us you collection, it is beautiful. ❤️
@@CactusCaffeine they are doing well now that I figured out the distance from the grow light. I had to take a shelf off to give them more space because they are under Barrina lights.
Thats quite a collection Ana!!! I have some of these. My favorite bloomer is aloe humilis!! I really love the flower on this one!! As far as medicinal, I use any aloe with thick leaves. They all contain aloine. Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection Ana!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴🌸🌿🌻🍀🌾💐🌱🌳🌹🪴😃👍
Beautiful Aloes you have! This vid makes me want to get back on collecting them. I agree with completely discarding them instead of investing in expensive chemicals for treatment. I lost my entire Aloe hybrid collection due to orchid leaf mites. This mites are hard to treat since they were originally from orchids and not a lot of documentation and proper treatment are available. I’ll try to buy some Aloes next month. Fortunately, there are many stunning hybrids available here in the Philippines.
I would love to get a hold of a TCT hybrid. They are so beautiful! Haven’t seen them for sale here in the US. Orchid mites on aloes?! Yikes. Haven’t heard of that till you mentioned it.
Beautiful ! I have only ten aloes, very classical, but I adore them : plicatilis, ramossissima, striata, castilloniae, fleurentiniorum, dichotoma, suprafoliata, marlothii, rupestris and asperifolia. Your plants are so colorful, I love them ! Thank you for the video and all your good advices !
Wonderful video, Ana, and what a beautiful collection of Aloes you are growing! I love these plants too, especially the many miniature species and hybrids! I grow around 30 Aloes and I think my favorite is the delicate Aloe haworthoides. Of the large Aloes, Aloe dichotoma with it's golden-colored epidermis is my all time favorite. Thanks so much for sharing your awesome collection with us, Ana, simply beautiful!! 😊👍🙌🪴🌸💚😎☀️
Thanks a lot for such a nice video, Anna! I have Gonialoe Variegatas sonce I have learned that Gonialoe variegata (wrongly aka Aloe variegata ) are no longer Aloes and, farthermore, that while all aloes are toxic to cats and dogs if digested, gonialoes are safe and problem free 😅😊
Love this video of your Aloe collection, Ana! You are so organized! I have a total of 52 Aloes here in Phoenix. 25 are in the ground and 27 are in pots. I have big ones and hybrid small ones. I have actually lost a number of the hybrid small ones due to the high heat in summer nights. Mine are all where they are shaded in the afternoon. I have always loved Aloes since I worked at a garden center in Rhode Island 50 years ago. So great that now we have access to so many varieties and hybrids!
The ones in the ground are big Aloes that are very shaded under a large tree. Most of these are native to South Africa and are adapted to the heat. They definitely would not make it in the full sun here! 🤩@@CactusCaffeine
Lovely aloes, I only have a few of the tree-type aloes, but your colorful ones are so cute! I mostly collect Euphorbia, Pachypodium, and caudex-type plants. Cheers!
Very usefull Ana, I was recently given some Aloes and didn't have a clue what to do with them, I killed the first one 😨 I know what to do with cacti but not these babies 😁😁🌵🌵
A lot of aloe vera sold in the shops are actually aloe vera var. chinensis. It's a hybrid that produces an extreme amount of offsets, is smaller, and has orange flowers as opposed to the large growing, yellow flowers aloe vera. In 1 year, I took 80 pups off one chinensis. They are unkillable monsters 🤣😭
I also love aloe plants. I have a couple of the swordfish variety, one of which is in a larger container with a collection of various succulents. It has still grown to be over 8” tall and still growing as is the other. I guess they are happy where they are. I did repot one of them last year. The repot did not phase it at all. It continues to grow. I really want a couple of Oiks and some Christmas sleighs. I have to order many of my succulents online because the stores in our area have limited availability. Unfortunately, some of the varieties that I want are not available online either. I hope that when spring gets here I will be able to find what I want. It gets so frustrating. I also grow orchids and African Violets along with some other tropical plants so I have plenty to keep me busy. I just wish that I could buy locally. I have an Aloe Nobilis (as far as I can tell) and the swordfish aloe. I was surprised after the first two years that I had my aloes and Haworthias that they began growing bloom spikes. 😂 I had no idea that they even did that! They put out long stems with very pretty little orangish flowers. I see that one of my Haworthias is already starting to grow one. Since I grow all of my plants inside I have no idea about dormancy. Do they even go dormant when they live inside? I do slow down on my watering with some of my succulents during the winter but I’m wondering about the aloes, especially my one and only Aloe Vera. I have been growing it for a few years. My other Aloe Vera died but it had put out a baby before it died. This is that baby and I do actually baby that thing. I don’t want to over water it or under water it. My other plants I have pretty much figured out but the Aloe Vera I’m not so sure about. How do you know when to water them?
I feel the leaves. When they feel firm and full of water, I skip watering. I let the leaves get a little thinner or curled o on the side before I give then a heavy watering. Hope this helps. ☺️
I love your videos. I have to give you kudos for clean nails. LOL try as I might my gloves come off in minutes and I can't help but stick my finger in a pot.
Hi Ana thanks for the video. I treat my aloe mite with bleach. Yes it burns the infected area and the plant doesn’t look it’s best with the burn but it works. I’ve saves a lot of my aloes with this method.
Good information I have 23 different varieties now and have a question for you how do you get so many babies on yours what do you feed them and what kind of soil do you use I use standard cactus soil with a little extra perlite in mine and water them every two weeks itsept when it gets above 85 degrees and water once a week what is the one that you are talking about offsets name please nice collection
I have 3 Aloe Vera. Two of them have thick leaves. I was able to get some pups from one of them and put them in a pot. It's winter here, so I don't know when I'll really start seeing growth. My third aloe I bought from the lady who owns the gym I attend. It has skinny leaves and kind of looks like the Little Gem one.
Oh how I wish! But I don’t have the space for them. Plus they need to be protected during our summer and winter. It would be difficult to do that when they grow big.
I bought different hybrid aloes a few years back and now they are huge clumps trying to break apart the pots 😂 haven't bought anymore since cuz i cant even repot the ones i have 😅
Good morning to you vary nice a l o e collection have a blessed day lovely Garden
Thank you! You too!

You have a good selection! Keep them growing. 😊☕️
Love this episode, Ana! I have aloe vera, partridge, and delta dawn in my Phoenix metro yard. I keep them in pots under overhanging areas.

30 is a lot of aloes! Hope you can feature your aloe collection, too! 😊
@@CactusCaffeine thank you Ana, I will do that sometime later in the year hopefully, great suggestion, appreciated!
They are my favorite too , after gymnocalycium!!
love your aloe collection! 💓✨
Another great video Ana, thanks for sharing all the tips about cacti !! Greatings from Portugal 🌵🌵🌵
Sword fish is absolutely beautiful

Wonderful information. I did not know about their toxicity to pets. Good to know. Thank you. 😊
That's a beautiful collection. My favorite aloes are Delta Lights, Swordfish, and Krakatoa.
Good choices! 👍🏼☺️
Beautiful ☆
Great, informative video. Thanks for doing the videos. I have about 20 aloes, all different kinds. Haven't decided on a favorite yet.
Wow. 20 is a lot! I would also have a hard time choosing a favorite if I have a collection that big. ☺️
Amazing collection, they are all thriving beautifully! I’d love to see your Haworthia collection 🌱
I don’t have a lot but I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks for the suggestion. 👍🏼☺️

Oh wow! That is awesome that you can grow aloes in the ground. I didn’t think any aloe can survive outdoors under the Phoenix sun and heat.

Thanks Ana! I love aloes too and have a few growing indoors.
Yaye for aloes! The variety that it comes in is truly fascinating.

Wow! Ang gaganda ng mga Aloes!😍

Aloes are easy, Ziggy! I’m sure soon you will start growing and propagating them. They are very forgiving.
Great collection
Hermosa, gracias por compartir ❤ bendiciones
Ang dami na nila ate❤
Haha. Di ko din na-realize until I made the video. Kasi sa backyard ko, nakakalat sila sa iba’t ibang sulok.
❤ excellent, helpful video. Thank you much for this. Do your Aloes get pollinated naturally or do you pollinate with a brush?
Both! The ones that I like to cross, I do manually. But hummingbirds visit my yard and they pollinate most of them.
I really like tree aloes
