I did not even announce that I was going to be online as I wasn’t sure if people will show up. 😄 Yes, definitely do it on your channel, too. But be more prepared than I was, my laptop updating at the time of the premier. 🤣 The a. Sleigh that you have will grow to be a beauty. Can’t have a sleigh without a Carol. 😉

Wonderful collection! I allow my aloes to get some sun stress however, I'm bringing them in earlier this year than previously. Last year I had them outside on the porch through the first few snow falls, making sure it never actually snowed on top of them. This year, however, I'm bringing in the last of them tonight. It's about to drop below 40F for the first time since last spring and some of my aloes are pushing inflorescences.

Well Ana, another awesome video!!! You have a great variety of aloes!! You have aloes like I have Euphorbias!! Your snow storm is doing great!!! Very proud to have it!! 😊👍 I think the aloe that is on my wish list is Aloe plicatillis. Although it gets kinda large. Some other things that amaze me about aloes are the ease of which they grow. I have year old seedlings that are up to 4 inches across of aloe ferox. Deb bought me a pack of cactus & aloe seeds last year and the aloes really surprised me !!!! I got three seeds in a pack and all grew! My firecracker is more green color cause of the lack of bright sunlight during the winter. Oh! And most aloes that have a real fleshy leaf will work for first aid!! I have tried a few and they work as well as aloe vera(barbadensis) thanks for this great video Ana!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a great day!!! Peace,Love,Plants!!!!✌💖🌵🌸🌴🌷🌲🌻🌳🌺

I didn’t realize how much aloes I have until I put them all together on a table for the winter. Lol! The aloe that you like, that grows fan-like? Very unique. I was wondering if there are other aloes that have medicinal purpose. You just answered my question! Thank you again Clyde for your support. I hope your weather is mild. 🙂☕️

Your Aloe Juvenna at 17:07 is a bit etiolated here. If it isn't more compact now, consider giving it more sun or moving it closer to a grow light. I've found mine appreciate a bit more water than my other aloes, as their leaves are generally a bit thinner.

I acquired my first one from a farm store. Many broken leaves (just a plain green every day aloe) I took it over to the device desk and asked what they needed for money. Walked out with a store discount and tax $2.16 cent. Some leaves were 8”-10” .
Second one I bought ( I’m guessing a three year old that had pups removed. It is a Castilloniae Blue Hybrid for $6.00. (9-3-23) it is blooming indoors. I’m so excited.

Wow your collection has grown. I remember when you only had a few. This was fun to watch. I did used to have a hard time telling Christmas sleigh for Christmas Carol. Hum, well as far a s aloes on my wish list I'm hoping to get a partridge breast some day. Yours looks lovely. It really looks like partridge feathers. I love aloe hemmingii too. As for a preference for stress or not it depends on the type. The snow kinds need to stay white and green. But the Christmas ones need to be red. So for me it's about type. As for the faves in my collection I love the wicked looking castellione and ajar. As my name sake I like the scary stuff that looks like it should be a boss in a video game.

Your burgeoning aloe collection is looking great! It shows how much variety is available in this genus. In answer to your queries ; I like semi-stressed aloes or not stressed. While extremely stressed plants can look interesting, in growing aloes I’m trying to mimic average habitat conditions, not the extreme ones that would result in plants being severely stressed. ~ Your tallish no ID plant at 17:05 looks like , and I’m 90% sure, a Aloe squarrosa from Socotra. It is OFTEN confused with Aloe juvenna from Kenya. Google A. juvenna vs A. squarrosa. If your plant flowers it’s undoubtedly A. squarrosa, as A. juvenna rarely blooms. ~ Though I have a number of hybrids I’m currently focusing on collecting smallish species Aloes. Their simplicity appeals to me more. ~ Two of my favorites in my collection are Aloe striata subspecies karasbergensis and Aloe ibitiensis. Maybe I’ll make a video on my Aloes.

Hi Anna, I fell absolutely in love with aloes in 2020. I love watching aloe collection videos the most. I would guess the "aloe" at 17 minutes is a Aloe Black Gem (which isn't actually an aloe) and that looks like an Aloe Juvenna at 17min and 7seconds (the tall one) P.S. There is an Aloe Polyphylla on eBay but its lower leaves have burnt tips. -Valerie (not Shawn)

Can you propugate fire aloe the same as a regular aloe Vera by just putting it in soil and it will grow roots or would you have to propugate it like a succulent leaf where a new plant will grow from a leaf?

I killed my aloe Vera plant. It was in a south west window, maybe I didn’t give it enough water? I have the Lace Aloe, 2 yrs now, out on the patio table for summer time & I noticed it was losing its green color & looking a dull, drap color, I suppose it was getting too much sun so put in more shade but bright light & it perked back up. I love the pink/red aloes, I’ve never seen them before in my area but going to try to find one. I didn’t realize that they would produce flowers! TY for sharing your large & lovely collection. Ps: I changed my picture & name was 10toes.
