because people mistakenly label themselves or identify as 'the thinker', they think that they were personally hurt whenever a thought/feeling felt bad. The person always has a choice to stop thinking about things that make them feel bad by thinking about something better, meditating, taking a nap or exercising. feelings can come from thoughts. Thoughts can come from beliefs. Does one know their beliefs? Often times these beliefs have logical fallacies. What are one's repetitive daily thoughts? The past is literally imaginary (only accessible in thought aka imagination)
I believe anger can be used productively sometimes. It is not always a negative emotion. I also think that we should be careful not to call any emotion a “poison”. This sort of labeling can make us judge our emotions instead of effortlessly observing and welcoming them.
Watching your video, ive just realized that anger and resentment are a survival strategy. This is because if we let it go, these people or situations could hurt us again.
Sunny I listen to you all the time, and I deeply respect the work that you do, your sincerity and authenticity is obvious to everyone. But to be honest, I’m kind of tired. It seems like it’s never ending battle. No matter what the situation is. It always seems to come back to, you if I just look at it different it’ll be different. I’m just kind of tired of always trying to change the way I am looking at it, instead of just actually having the power to change it.
Try just not trying to change anything. Maybe you're trying too hard to change things that you actually don't have the power to change. ❤ That is very tiring.😊
Amazing video. I heard you put words together in such a beautiful way that I am moved to share this with someone in my life who I think is particularly open to change.
Looking forward to this! I want to let go of all anger and resentment! And the possibility of using it to help with my spiritual growth sounds amazing!❤
Such a beautiful authentic video Sunny. I noticed the maturity right when you said it in the video😅 LOL Seems i had not been honest with myself about letting go of anger but once I did, I was able to see the blessing instead.🎉
Thanks So much for your explanations and your videos this came to me when I needed to hear this almost like magic. I just had situations in my life that didn’t quite went like I had planned expected it to be which includes other people negotiating work contracts. I planed them out myself but would rather hire than do it myself this time. Exactly like you described they didn’t quite wanted to do it my way and another changed rules in a done deal. When I herd your explanation it k licked I just felt it and started laughing instead it felt so right other people have their opinion I have mine I can’t do nothing about that what so ever and the only one suffering the frustration anger irritation is myself poisoning my day for something I never can control. This helped me a lot and I’m happy again for now anyway once again thank you ❤
Thank you for your message Sunny! This is an important one for me. I pushed somebody special out of my life, seemingly for good. My ego tries so hard to keep reminding me of things she said to me and about me. And to keep reminding me of how long it’s been since we spoke. I’m ready to let it go, I have been for awhile. But the thoughts keep coming, and sometimes I catch it right away and notice when it happens, and other times, it just goes through these loops. This message will help me continue to let go. 🙏
Thank you so much for this video Sunny. This is something that I noticed i need to do to really be happy and I am grateful for your advice in this process. ❤
Question in married life: My daughter is married to a working man, he makes sure there is money in the house, and he tells my daughter, I want you to be a housewife, and we will have many children, and I bring money. They live like this for several years. But what her husband asks is that the house be clean, and there will be meals, etc., in exchange for the fact that he brings money to support the family. My daughter has no problem with this, except that he does not devote time to her, he does not understand her emotionally, he tells her, if you have any problem, go to a professional who will help you and listen to you. He asks for obedience, he tells her, you need to understand how I feel, but he never understands how she feels. In short, he does not support her emotionally, everything should be done at home according to what he feels, and not according to what she feels. He says: I'm bringing money, and that's it, he's unaware of what he's talking about. My daughter is very angry with him, and there are arguments between them all the time, and shouting at home, and of course it affects the children, etc. What do you say, will you say that this is her worldview, and she should not try to change her husband's worldview, and she will continue to live like this for the rest of her life with a husband who does not understand her feelings, and has no time to talk to her, etc., and to all his friends, etc. He helps, and has time for them.
Thank you for this video. I've been caught in the anger loop for about 9 months now due to the difficulty my kid has in adjusting with 1st grade school. It's absurd and she'll outgrow it probably but for me it's so absurdly painful because every time I think she has progress and I can let go, she regresses and it's really hard on me to sustain the amount of energy needed for the whole situation. I'll try to meditate on "reward them for who they are, don't punish them for what they are not, It's not your job to settle the score" as this seems the part resonating with me the most. As parents we think it's our job to fix the bad behaviors of our kids, and teachers certainly remind us that excessively but in the end, they are their own humans and we can only try to help as much as possible.
Wonderful video. I think this is the Best i've heard in years on how to let go and forgive. Having the right perspective. I feel lighter and freer already. This is a life changer ! THANK YOU Sunny ! ✌️❤🙏
Making total sense! 🙏love you so much dada…. You are my guru…. Your every word make sense to me … so kind … so much devotion 🙏 thank you for everything
Thank you for this, the words 'Forgive...it is not my job to judge. I am not the creator'! really hit home! I am trying to let go of anger and resentment towards my past, which of your meditations would you recommend for that?
Recently I wonder if we hold an attack thought i.e "i hate them" our own mind doesn't know it is the source of the thought and fears its own thinking, like a voice in the shadows threatening you. Emotions are like our social immune system, anger originally intended in the moment to maintain safety and boundaries. Repressed we choose compliance from caregivers, we create a tank of rage that is feared by our conscious mind. We judge these angry thoughts as our own and feel guilty with their content.
Lots of great info here - thank you for making this available. My issue is that when I feel resentment it is in my body: pounding heart, loss of vision, incessant thoughts, tight neck - the list goes on! Once I am in that space I am in fight mode, I can't access my thinking mind to calm myself and I end up making decisions based on my [bodily] anger which I often regret. How to get out of that state so I can think and make better decisions?
I heard a man say he broke thirty years of panic attacks from flying. He said he was told to confront the symptoms that are brought about by the panic attack. Like say his chest tightened, he would then say “come on chest, you can do better, you can go tighter, is that all you got”? He said as he did that, and some deep breathings in between, his symptoms vanished, and he flew panic free or the first time in thirty years….
Hey Sunny, I have not yet watched the video but I am familiar with some of your material and I want to ask: what would you recommend if someone has deeply repressed negative feelings such as anger or deep shame or fear - which might not come to mind on their own? Wouldn't it be beneficial to trigger them somehow and then allow them to be? How would you go about that?
hi George, life itself triggers it out of us. We don't need to make any effort to do so. When they arise, these things should be observed and allowed, and not identified with. The advice in this video also sheds light on the personal and practical elements of how to see/outgrow anger and resentment in a brand new way.
Yes but it is important to process the storied anger in the body with somatic exercises (processing the repressed anger that is in the body). Many health conditions result as a result of repressed anger (Check out Dr. Gabor Mate). This is why Adyashanti stepped back from teaching and is taking anti-anxiety meds for what he calls PTSD. The stored anger in the body must be process or chronic pain, chronic fatigue, migraines and many other symptoms can result. Spiritual bypass of emotions is a real thing within the Spiritual Community as people come to mediation, working with the mind, etc. as a bandaid when there is emotional work to do.

What you said is so beautiful.. can you add something more to it please..?
So much wisdom in this teaching. Very useful as w ay of living anf letting go of resentment, anger which is a total waste of life.
Watching your video, ive just realized that anger and resentment are a survival strategy. This is because if we let it go, these people or situations could hurt us again.

Don't be afraid then to move in a new direction and experiment with something else :) Through experimentation, clarity comes and we find our way.

Amazing video. I heard you put words together in such a beautiful way that I am moved to share this with someone in my life who I think is particularly open to change.
That is beautiful to hear! Thank you for sharing
Sunny you are correct totally in what you teach there is no error outside of you error is to be dealt within your own consciousness.
Such an important teaching. So true. So timely for me. Thank you so much for your clarity, love and wisdom, Sunny.
Glad it helped Venita :)
Looking forward to this! I want to let go of all anger and resentment! And the possibility of using it to help with my spiritual growth sounds amazing!❤
I'm happy it brought you clarity Melanie!
This is a fantastic video that arrived at the right time in my view so that I could watch it. Personally, I did not think it was too long.
I really need this teaching. Overcoming the ego of anger, resentment, and overreacting has been a daily struggle for me.
Don't struggle, you don't struggle
What you say Sunny is perfectly true.

Letting go of anger gives power. It is power.
The world responds to that kind of power, in positive ways❤️ It allows love

Oh God yes Sunny I can relate.
Anger was my life! From one moment to the next. Years of rumination while the other person suffered nothing. Lol
Fabulous lesson Sunny - If only they made ‘foregiveness’ a compulsory subject in Primary school it would be a different world.❤
Thank you for this, the words 'Forgive...it is not my job to judge. I am not the creator'! really hit home! I am trying to let go of anger and resentment towards my past, which of your meditations would you recommend for that?

Great video Sunny as usual I’ve learned a ton
Thanks ❤❤❤

At the end you gave good advice but for mee too late.

Hello Eveline, yes what is conventionally referred to as spiritual bypassing is not what is being suggested in this video :)
Many thanks Sunny. It came on the perfect time for me in my life. Very helpful 😊
