Use this tool to grade dive footage and what can I say!? YES, this is what I was looking for. In this kind of footage you often want to change only nuances inside the rgb channels to bring back the actual color- and this tool is just amazing for doing this. There are plenty of DCTLs out there and tried quite a few, but this one is by far the more intuitive and brings better results imo. Worth the money!
Yes! There's a couple of resources that I found really useful. The most helpful one is the Creative Coding With DCTL course by Cullen Kelly on Mixing Light. It is behind a paywall unfortunately but if you get the trial membership for a week and just binge watched all of them and take lots of notes you'll get a lot out of it. There is some documentation in the Resolve manual, but it's not particularly extensive. There are also some sample dctls with some more documentation in the Resolve application folder somewhere. One thing that really helped me is to have a look at open source dctls. Paul Dore aka baldavenger on github is a great resource. Just trying to understand what each bit of code inside is doing one by one really helps. Also maybe try to start with something like simple RGB to HSL conversion which is well explained on wikipedia and try to figure out how to translate that into the dctl syntax. This is great practice for getting used to translating simple concepts and math into dctl. Hope this helps. :)
@@botbot3698 I absolutely love Cullen Kelly too. He's a great guy and extremely generous with his knowledge. I'd also love to hop on one of his courses if I get the chance to, so maybe I'll see you there! 😁
Heavily… Heavily underrated channel and tools! I’ll be snatching everything for myself very soon. Big thanks!
Thank you so much!

This is incredible! I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel! I'll definitely check out your DCTL's, they all look amazing.
Thank you so much and welcome! Very happy to hear you like my work!
do you have any advice for people trying to get into DCTL development?
