Great advice but it would be helpful to mention the mounting bracket on the rear of the starter,a fiddle to remove but would save a lot of time wondering why the starter does not come free!

hey if got the video correct there are 2 bolts that hold the starter and one of the bolts got a nut (to keep the cooler hose in place) imma do this tomorrow and dont wanna search for a 3rd bolt if there is only 2... great video
at 8:47 m you can see 2 bolts for mounting bracket. It looks like you don't have mounting bracket on this car at all. Other volvos have a bracket mounted to these 2 bolts. Are they even necessary?
Ok, I've never asked a question on one of these but I have no idea what to do next. I have a 05 volvo S60R that has sit for 2 years. I got another ignition switch from a junk yard so I didnt have to spend a ton at the dealer. Ive done the necessary fluid changes and when I went to start it it doesnt do anything. The information screen says starting wasnt successful try again, ir something to that effect. What is your alls advice. I really appreciate it. :)
I replace my started on a 2002 v70 and it worked well for a day, then it started to not wanted to start again. Does any one had this problem before, what do you suggest?
+Obada Alomari We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
At this moment, the closest how-to video we have to your request is for this vehicle, which is very similar to the one you have. The steps may not be 100% the same, but should contain an adequate amount of information necessary for accomplishing this task: +Keiko FX Designs

Great video. I wanted to make sure I didn't need to remove the intake manifold to access the starter.

Is this same for c70? Is the location the same?
why there are 2 positive wires? Also, does the starter have a grounding wire? Thanks
Great video
Well done--Thanks!
Dang--Turns out my XC is a lot different under the hood. Way more obstacles to get past.
@@RickRose yup im hving the same problem. Intake is different which makes the airbox tube routing and intercooler piping very different
