In other words he is to the right of center like corporate Democrats, but to the left of corporate Republicans (both of whom are neo liberals). If you want a truly left of center new media political person (i.e left of the corporate Democrats, and even left of Bernie Sanders) you should invite Hasan Piker on to your show.

What he calls "White supremacy" is actually something that has been around since the dawn of civilization. You can read about how Egyptians and Greeks (especially Greek philosophers) saw different races as "superior". Many of the Greeks even used to talk about how Mediterranean skin was "far superior" because it wasn't as light as Northern and Central Europeans, as well not as dark as Africans. Iraqi Abu Firas al-Hamadani also made a similar comment, but in a much more graphic and degrading way that I won't post here. We can go to various Arab historians and philosophers who also talked about various races being "superior". Al-Jahiz wrote all the way back in the 9th century that "We know that the Zanji(black Africans) are the least intelligent and least discerning of mankind, and least capable of understanding the consequences of actions". Al-Mas'udi wrote in the 10th century "The Zanji are people of black color, flat noses, kinky hair, and little understanding of intelligence." I can keep going on and on and on, but I'd be here all day.

Also please donot confuse aesthetic colourism like the greeks you're talking about which is just preference of the fairer skin in terms of beauty rather than basis of discrimination for everything else. It must also be noted that the Islamic world didnot principally believe in superiority of any race. So those authors you've quoted without any source might I add didnot reflect the general civilization at all.

There’s nothing wrong with having pride in ur skin tone. Or believing ur better than others. Everyone needs to feel they’re special in their outer and inner world because of xyz factors. Problem is when u take those beliefs to knock other groups, enslave them and their generations, loot/destroy their assets, and colonize them by wiping out their roots/cultures and forcing ur own because of that “superiority complex”. And only two cults have gone around d world and have kept those lands and resources even today after practically wiping out d natives.

no, as a fellow Devin with an i, I find your ignorance sad. What I mean is that this is just another example of how many people today don’t realize that our way of thinking is way beyond anything before it. And that it would be seen as not just wrong, but insane by the overwhelming majority of every group of people in every part of the world from like 1930 and earlier. And you can even see the old ways of thinking in many parts of the world today.
The millions of black slaves in the Middle East, millions of Christian and pagan African slaves in Africa, and the millions of minority slaves in Asia aren’t in that position because muh capitalism. The blatant racism towards black people that would make Jim Crow laws look silly in comparison in places like Qatar and Saudi Arabia exists because they haven’t moved on like we have.

@@nlabanok by the mid-to-late 18th century, the colonies which became the United States were considerably more religious than the United Kingdom was at that time. That is why the US is still considerably more religious than virtually every country in Europe today - the UK included, which is really quite irreligious overall - one of the most atheistic and secular nations in the west. The splitting off of the US from the British colonial imperial project had absolutely nothing to do with religion, and you say 'because we didn't want to continue following in their footsteps,' yet the US kept its British common law legal system, it based its constitution off of the work of English enlightenment era intellectuals (namely John Locke), and continued to also act as an expansionistic power, just as Britain did elsewhere around the world at the same time. So, no, it was not to avoid 'following in their footsteps.'

@@thomasweir2834 Not really. Cromwell, despite being a puritan, was not against religious pluralism. That is why it was him who invited Jews back to England, as they had been banned for nearly 400 years, since 1290 during the reign of by King Edward I. Cromwell also even reprimanded the New England settlers (almost exclusively Puritans at that time, as he was) for going down to Maryland and killing the Catholic settlers there in that distinctly English catholic colony, and just last year John Morrill, emeritus professor of British and Irish history at Cambridge University discovered some groundbreaking primary source documents written by Cromwell and his contemporaries which also expressed approval for religious pluralism, including Catholicism, in England and Ireland.

@@PercivalC Uh, deep analysis but wrong...the US Constitution ensured freedom FROM the British practice of having one and only one religion allowed by law and a religion sanctioned by the state. Those are the footsteps that were being avoided....not the intensity of religion as those moving to the US for freedom of worship were devout worshippers so it is no surprise that religious intensity in the colonies / nascent new nation was higher than Britain. The desire, actually the need, for freedom of worship is the second pillar upon which immigration to the US was built....the first being the lure of a true greenfield economic opportunity for those willing to take the substantial risk of moving.
