Top jurists are set to vie for four superior court positions this week.
They'll appear before the Judicial Service Commission in Johannesburg.
In previous years, the JSC came under scrutiny on how it handled its interview process.
Senior legal minds will also be interviewed for one vacant seat on the Constitutional Court bench.
