  • IMF Chief Warns AI will Affect 40% of All Jobs | Job Market Crisis | Vantage with Palki Sharma
The chief of the International Monetary Fund has warned that Artificial Intelligence is like a "tsunami" poised to hit the job market in the coming years. She said that AI will affect 60% jobs in developed countries and around 40% jobs in the world. While AI is expected to replace millions of jobs in sectors like coding and tutoring, it will also create up to 97 million new jobs, according to the World Economic Forum. Fears of AI replacing humans have resurfaced after OpenAI and Google unveiled new and powerful models that can boost human productivity. How can you prepare for a world where AI is taking over jobs? Palki Sharma tells you.

AI and its Impact on Society
      Oct 31, 2023, updated on April 11, 2024
We must ask ourselves, "What will happen when AI has taken 85% of jobs present in 2020? What will we do? How will we eat and survive without incomes from jobs or other means?" What is disturbing is that while AI is taking these jobs, the gov't and the corporations have not done ANYTHING to prepare us for an AI'ed civilization. They have not said anything about major retraining of an entire economy to something else, and they have not followed up on a discussion of universal basic income. This is supposedly supported by a lack of information in the latest government budgets submitted and approved as reported by some RUclips videos.
It appears that the US gov't and the corporations intend to kill off the majority of Americans passively, through starvation from lack of income to buy food. (check and see if farming production is declining or will start to decline ahead of the "starvation phase") (also check to see if the "makeup" of robot equipment allocation would change to reflect a trend away from retail and services for the masses, possibly indicating an extinction of the American public - this means taking a robot from Chipotle and repurposing it for some other job not related to the public, or scrapping affected robots to be remade for some other purpose that has nothing to do with the public) It appears that the decline of farming has already started with the state of Maine buying farm land under the pretext that there are "forever chemicals" present at around 20 parts per TRILLION (safe level is said to be only 4 parts per TRILLION), which does not make sense, BUT this would rope in a LOT of land across the US. Other states may follow suit in addition to the ten states that have similar laws in place.
This way, there are only enough people alive to get some things done, and the rest is done by AI, and the survivors who planned this can claim the whole country for themselves. Imagine having an estate mansion half the size of a mall on several dozen thousand acres of land, and robots would be used to maintain and clean the estates and do the farming FOR THE ESTATE OWNERS. The White Man's wet dream of civilization. What will the Native Americans south of the US border do when they see this coming, especially when they can buy firearms legally now? Hopi prophecy...

The jobs AI create will also just be temporary, and there will be a lot of data generated from this transitionary period, which will help train AI to no longer need humans for this also. AI will get good eventually at just training itself.

It’s not so easy…. There is a self containing mechanism… if people loose their jobs at the rate predicted, consumption would hit rock bottom and world economy would collapse. The governments and systems would never allow that to happen. Rules will reign in on the use of AI. AI replacing that many jobs in one fell swoop won’t happen… it would be a slow and carefully calibrated process and not a tsunami. This is being alarmist.

Not at the recreational level. What then will be the point of learning to play an instrument? Rather, this is what is coming:

So in place of an army of developers, you need few expert level programmers who can just ask the right questions to chatgpt, get the code and integrate. AI will replace job , so you learn to improve AI by learning AI coding, content learning model, ethics. But how long going at this pace AI can learn and self improve. It's like something is causing issues so you go and be a part of it and make it bigger until it gets to a point where it no longer needs your help.
AI needs to regulated where it can be applied for human good like taking license for implementation considering larger good with protectionism.
If not than probably not much options available as point in time humans can't compete with AI as more sofesticated models come in.
And you can use them today to improve efficiency but tomorrow when they because self sufficient, mature and automated you would be replaced and AI would be still there.
Until it reaches Artificial General Intelligence at which point there is no coming back to regulated AI
