At its annual developer conference on Tuesday, Google unveiled a slew of new artificial intelligence tools as well as AI models. From a multimodal AI assistant to new AI-integrated models, Google has gone all out to introduce new products. Google will introduce AI-generated answers to online queries made by users in the United States, in one of the biggest updates to its search engine in 25 years. This comes just a day after OpenAI released its new AI model GPT-4O to the world. So, who is winning this AI war? Has OpenAI pulled ahead or has Google caught up? Palki Sharma tells you.

Google's Video generator was announced 1.5 years ago just after Meta's GIF creator thing. OpenAI's Sora is just months old.
We had a glimpse of Project Astra as "Gemini" (when the current Gemini chatbot was referred to as Bard) and OpenAI announced that ability of GPT4o just minutes before Google I/O.
In 2017, Google spoke about AI when no one was, they announced a chatbot that can impersonate somebody like the sun, star, teacher etc. It could generate text based on information on the internet. That was basically ChatGPT probably copied or was inspired. But just their way of presentation attracted investors and people. Remember, impersonating someone was a key feature of ChatGPT that was advertised.
Google search had an "i" button next to search results which would tell about website or article in short way before Bing

I have started using AI to analyze my business costs. Usually it took me hours to sift through spreadsheets that took hours. Now it takes me minutes.
Microsoft's Co-Pilot integrated with Bing search is seriously good... beats traditional Google search hands-down.
Using it for like 2 years ands it's really good
"Perplexity" is good as it provides citations.
@@striker44 i am using all ai out there for my academic subjects including medium difficult level maths .. co pilot is slower than any other ai but it is the most accurate when it comes to answers .... i prefer right answers over wrong answers
But let's not forget the AI training libraries are on Google platforms it GitHub etc

I am want device which can create 3d model of a person, analyze a voice of that person and speak in that voice, with all expression on 3d face.
Imagine you record your loved ones and when they are not with you, you will have their voice and facial expression with you.
It will talk like a real person.

AI is already doing that under Whatsapp and Facebook, it has made search easy.
It’s not free, whenever we ask questions or search for answers, we are basically training the AI Model. More we feed and train, it gets better and better everyday. So they use our information to train their models for free which normally cost them millions of dollars.
What does it cost?
no, they dont use the user input to train the model, because the user input contains many bug that will ruins the ai knowledge. example you send him c++ code and ask about bug in your code, nah that bad code is bad. any ai creator willnot use the user input to train the model, but use high quality data, not random quality data from the user

This gives Google all the info about you when you use camera in that way. They will use that to show you sponsored ads or even sell your info to bidders. Remember that Google is an advertising company first.
I have to use VPN because I am in one of these certain locationss and had to change to Bing from Google after getting the usually horrible, very low resolution captchas frequently when using Google, but Bing works smoothly with VPN's and the results are just as good and also not so heavily filtered. I hope the AI will not be another failure like tango, wave and many others. I don't need bells and whistles but will try their new search although I am not very hopeful..

Introduction of regulation now will hinder innovation and evolution of the technology. Regulations will prevent entry of new variations and products of the same tech and also prevent entry of newcomers or developers.
Already, the cost and unavailabilities of GPUs and training data set are already making it hard for new developers to train their a.i systems, imagine what would introducing regulations do. They will monopolize the industry to few corporations that can afford the regulatory fees like in pharmaceutical industries.
