And with this pandemic going on I think it’ll be a while before we see any new Star Wars stories with these characters
Oh yeah I forgot there’s also another suggestion I have with this timeline that’s a little off topic though is something from the Thrawn Trilogy that connects with Rebels and that is how in this timeline Han Solo’s son in Legends Jacen Solo was actually named after Hera’s son Jacen Sendula as said by Timothy Zahn himself in an interview with Alex from Star Wars Explained and I know that what Timothy Zahn said in the interview was just meant to be a joke since the old Thrawn Trilogy isn’t technically in the same continuity with Rebels but since this is a timeline where we get to mix the EU and Canon together we could pretty much just do whatever we want and take what he said about Han’s son being named after Hera’s son as fact. In case you don’t know what I’m talking about and your curious here’s the video and what he said at 1:30 - 1:47 ruclips.net/video/Zuip7qlmWO0/видео.html It would be nice if Dave Filoni could explain to Timothy Zahn how Han named his son Jacen after Jacen Sendula as it would definitely be of great use to us

I always wondered who Gregor's training sergeant was. We only know that it was most likely a Mandalorian and that it wasn't Walon Vau (the guy who trained Delta Squad), because Vau's Commando's were the only ones without any casualties until the battle of Kashyyyk. We can also rule out Dred Priest and Isabet Reau as well, since they were sadistic Death Watch members and Gregor's personality doesn't fit with these brutes. Okay so for your possible Thrawn: A Star Wars Story video I’ve came up with a few ideas of how to fix some inconsistencies with this timeline though just in case you forgot here’s the timeline
Outbound flight
Thrawn Ascendancy (book series not yet published)
Mist Encounter (short story)
Thrawn (novel)
Thrawn 1-6 (Marvel Comics)
Star Wars Rebels (from Steps Into Shadow to Zero Hour)
Thrawn Alliances
Star Wars Rebels (from In The Name Of The Rebellion to Jedi Knight)
Thrawn Treason
Star Wars Rebels (from DUME to Family Reunion - and Farwell)
Choices Of One (novel)
Command Decision (short story)
Side Trip (short story)
(I know you have your head canon on all things ending at post ROTJ but still regardless of that you can still talk about these stories)
Crisis Of Faith (novel)
Tatooine Ghost (novel)
Heir To The Empire
Dark Force Rising
The Last Command
Ok so here are some Ideas for fixing some inconsistencies in this timeline:
Thrawn’s being promoted to Grand Admiral much earlier in the timeline before 0 BBY as opposed to some point after 0 BBY could be that after is disappearance from the Purgils Palpatine had removed Thrawn from his Grand Admiral position after believing him to be dead but after mysteriously getting back in touch with the empire Palpatine instead of giving Thrawn back his position instead decides to have work his way to the top all over again
Some point after Thrawn and Ezra disappear into the unknown regions maybe Thrawn this whole time while at the unknown region would at some point secretly get himself re intact with Palpatine and the empire discussing a new secret plan with Palpatine and Thrawn being the tackle geniuses they are talk about deciding using his disappearance into the unknown region as a ruse to make people believe that he’s gone and no longer has any part in the empire when in actuality they will actually be secretly using the public’s belief of his disappearance all as an advantage for him be further involved with the empire without the public’s knowledge about in order for him secretly rebuild what he had previously started, with Thrawn defeat from the purgils being only a minor set back to his secret master plan that would eventually lead to what we see in Choices Of One all the way until the original Thrawn Trilogy, with Palpatine actually having had Thrawn demoted from his position as Grand Admiral due to his disappearance and assuming that he might have been dead but rather than giving Thrawn back his rank immediately Palpatine instead decides to have him work his way back up to the top again to earn back his position as grand admiral while also deciding to use Thrawn’s demotion to better sell to the public that Thrawn is no longer involved with them, in order to have Thrawn better hidden from public to secretly continue putting their plan back in motion until Palpatine believes the time is right to reveal Thrawn’s presence to the public, and so Thrawn would mysteriously return to back to the empire in secret with Ezra’s presence and what had happened to both of them immediately after the purgil attack being mysteriously unknown, as Thrawn would go on more secret missions with the empire throughout the years (as seen in legends) which leads him to being given the ranks of captain and eventually later on being regiven the rank of grand admiral, along with being given command of the Nogrie by Darth Vader
Maybe Thrawn’s body guard Rukh who dies in Rebels and is seen in the original Thrawn Trilogy either had somehow survived the explosion and had secretly retreated back towards his home world with his fellow Noghri species and started serving along with them under Darth Vader until Vader gives the reign of the Nogri to Thrawn with Thrawn upon recognizing Rukh amongst the Noghri army decides to recruit him again as his personal body guard (if Palpatine can somehow inexplicably survive a big explosion that really should have killed him than literally anything is possible though I still don’t consider the Disney trilogy canon but I gotta justify Rukh’s presence in the Thrawn Trilogy somehow despite him dying much earlier on in Rebels), or is maybe just a completely different Noghri with the same name given by Thrawn in honor of his old Noghri bodyguard, or maybe the original Thrawn Trilogy Rukh is some kinda genetically altered clone of the Rebels Rukh with the concept of cloning essentially being an overall plot point in the original Thrawn Trilogy
Maybe the reason why Thrawn joined the empire was to protect the galaxy from both the Grysk and the Yuzahn Vong with Thrawn essentially multitasking and going back and forth when dealing with each intergalactic threat (especially with how the EU had other intergalactic invaders), either that or the Grysk and the Yuzahn Vong are all just completely one in the same and Thrawn is just possibly just dealing with only one intergalactic threat
That’s all I got so far and if by any chance Dave Filoni or Timothy Zahn would ever follow up on what happened to Thrawn and Ezra in the future we’ll probably have to update this timeline and or retcon some stories in it depending on how contradictory they might be with established EU stories and or heavily connects with the events of Disney trilogy which I’m pretty we want to stay as far away from as possible in this timeline regardless of your head canon on post ROTJ!
