Rex is perhaps the one of the most tragic clones ever, because he lost so many brothers, his purpose, and his family. The Republic he was fighting was gone along with the freedom he was fighting for. This beckons the question "was it even worth it?"
He really lived to see the new republic
The sad thing is that Rex's story is one of the happier ones for any of TCW characters. He survives, he gets to have some relaxation and happiness, and he is able to help defeat the Empire. And if the season 2 The Mandolorian rumors are true, he will reunite with Ahsoka.
As awful as Rex's life is in spots, it's so much better than what happened to so many others

dude legit umbara is my favorite arc of episodes of the whole show with just how amazing the character development is for rex and fives especially for fives later on with the inhibitor chip stuff.

I just binged watched the full clone wars in the last few weeks reliving my child hood, with me much like Rex talking about his brothers dying just to ensure Rex and Ashoka are killed, watching this has me set off again can’t wait for part 3 😭❤️

This is almost making me cry because it reminds me how many brothers he have lost and died in front of him he must be feeling so much pain but he some how made it through it all towards to the end of the clone wars

It is amazing how just an idea created by George Lucas possibly when he was a child, has become more than just a movie franchise. For some it’s a huge part of their life. Most of us have had Star Wars since we where kids.

I think it's a cool detail when Tup is unintentionally order 66 activated, he doesn't go after Anakin who's in the same room as him but the other Jedi who's further away.
Is it just me or did I see Rex wear an phase 1.5 clone trooper helmet around 9:00 (the helmet that looks like the phase 2 with phase one antenna fins)

Edit: oh, I just realize that it's also customized by Rex, you could see that the helm has that welding marks that looks like his iconic mustache.
It's the same helm we see him use in later seasons but it still had a phase 1 fin antenna, later on he would replace the top with the phase 2 antenna and in this version it still has a phase 1 visor.
I think it looks like the early arc trooper helmet like the one that echo and fives had at the citadel
The fact that Rex was so independent, so strong willed that he was capable of resisting order 66 shows how far he grew from the by the books man he was at the start of the war, shows how much love and care was given to his character
Which is worse: Echo being kept alive tortured, augmented and used for his strategies or Luminara's corpse being used as a model to replicate her and lure unknowing jedi survivors?

Fun fact: rex and anakin being carbon-frozen is how vader knew han would survive. Watching videos on clones makes me want to play as candorus ordo from kotor 2.
Fun fact that helps me sleep at night. During the invasion we can see 3 venators dispatching the clones, only one venator went, while the others I assumed, did post battle clean up or what ever, but 2/3 of the 332nd did survive! Be happy, their not wiped out!

Loved part 1, part 2 time!
You have to admit, the last episodes were extremely sad. Imagine living with people for years, fighting with them. They are like your family, your brothers. Then one day you are forced to choose to fight your family or kill a friend.
Waxers death was so heartbreaking. No matter how many times ive seen it, it always makes me emotional. The entire clones story as a whole is so tragic

Maaannnn it still kills me whenever I watch the death of Fives. Being one of my favorite clone trooper his death is so sad and heartbreaking at the same time when he was just doing the right thing.

It’s just sad to watch Rex fight against his own brothers since the beginning especially from torrent company/501st, even sadder when he tries to resist order 66. Alone Rex’s story is tragic and the final scene burying Jesse and 332nd was just something else I’m just glad Dave filoni, Kevin kiner, and Dee Bradley baker help make one of the greatest childhood shows.

You gotta love this part of the CW & especially Captain Rex who is a great Clone who would do a lot for Anikan too keep secrets from the Jedi order about Padme & Anikan & their love affair who not even Obi-Wan knew of but it didn’t take him long to work it out.
