Good work by my talented students from the generations 2017 until 2018
It was very funny to record the quintets in the forest 😂
Recorded with a single pair of Schoeps MK2S with added just a bit of digital reverb in PP.
    Performers (from left to right):
Oskari Hänninen, Božo Paradžik (myself), Madlaina Küng, Cecilia Perfetti and Marko Hristoskov
Here is the epic original TV recording with the composer hinself playing piano and his musicians engaged for the recording of the original soundtrack:

The thing is what if this was in a horror movie?- Like, imagine your car breaks down so you have to walk through the woods but you witness those 5 basses playing Pink Panther so you and the crazy killer out in the woods, play the pink panther game just tip-toe away as quick as possible.

      Scene: The Woods.
You are unaware that you are being stalked by a bear. "The Pink Panther" arranged and performed for five Double Basses plays in the background.
Enter clearing (stage left) where the five piece Double Bass ensemble are playing "the Pink Panther".
Stop. Look confused. Break the fourth wall by looking at the camera and shrugging.
      Exit clearing. (state right)
Sounds of bear attacking quintet behind you.

The phrase "alarm goes/going off" means that something has tripped its alert mechanism, which can be a sound, flashing lights, or something else. When I was a child, this phrase confused me whenever I saw it in a textbook. It made more sense to say "the alarm is turning on" instead of "going off", but that's one the quirks of the English language.

She's holding hers the same way you'd hold a violin or cello bow, over the top, parallel to the bow. That's the French grip. The others are holding their bows from underneath, perpendicular to the bow. That's the German grip. Each grip has its pros and cons.
