I'm a Team Green fanboy, but I do appreciate the other brands offerings, and am keen to see more of the new Fireblades. I think 2017 is going to be a good year for motorcyclists. :-)
Good history lesson, so in essence the honda has always been on the slightly underpowered side, but made up for it by being really lightweight and having a great chassis and handling?
yeah it's still 50% identical to the 2008 model! same frame/ brakes / suspension /wheels etc etc.. I bet the engine is the same unit with some mild tweaks that's why it's at least 10 hp down on its rivals still... and it's bloody expensive and looks a bit poo! Honda must try harder imo
"Homologation special" are the key words in that article. You can expect that machine to be a limited production run and nearly double or triple the price of the new Fireblade.
Down 10 hp but much lighter! It's thee lightest inline 4 stock bike on the market. F**k extra hp, the lighter weight is what gets the hard on. Most of us regular joes will never even get the full potential out of the old bike let alone a faster one.
CycleCruza how much lighter than the old model though only a few KG I bet.. I think the new GSXR looks the best buy out of the new models and one of the cheapest too! Anyway the sports bike is dead long love the super naked 😂
it says join us after the break!!! BUT there was nothing BUT the end, so there's no end result or results period altogether!!!! And that's bullshit.......
vidurc tell me what's different other than it being lighter and having slimmer fairings? You obviously have no clue what you're talking about. And don't go on about its shit electronic suspension where you can't adjust the front and back individually or the shit traction control that's tied with the wheelie control. Find me on instagram, my profiles public and I know a shit ton more about bikes then you ever will
Ok well lets break it down. How does a frame become lighter and slimmer without being changed? How do you think a fairing gets slimmer? Or did you believe there's nothing under the fairing? Did that just happen because of magic? How is it the same engine when the compression ratio is different. The 2012 had a 12.3:1 compression ratio. This bike has a 13:1 compression ratio. The con rods are different, the pistons are different, the cam's are different. Hell the SP2 even has completely different heads from the SP and standard bike. The engine casings are different. The power is different. This has throttle by wire. So not like the 2012. This also has an assisted slipper clutch. Please stop about your Instagram. I instruct classes on track for riders for a living. Stop about knowing more about bikes. Clearly you'd know a thing or two if you had a clue about even one single facet of engineering. This bike is entirely new. The only thing shared is the base block. Nothing else is the same.
ninjasupersport hahaha blame the rider lololol Honda SHITS on Yamaha period blame the rider all you want that’s the best excuse you got Honda wins no matter what
Love the improved changes, mainly the reduced weight, bet it's better than the R1 now. I look forward to the 2017 liter bike shootout!
Looks amazing especially in that all black!

They're planning on releasing a new V4 Superbike in 2019.

honda advertising.
What I have learn so far from this video; if you want a CBR1000RR, buy a used 2012 for like $6k because its the same shit
Common dumb comment from people who have no clue about bikes. Good job.

But seriously.... just like Hornet vs CB650R
Aprilia
It's shit compared to the new R1
yeah the new r1 got its ass spanked by the 2008 Blade in WSBK last season.
