A small fun fact: none of Pingu's episodes were banned in Brazil. They first aired in TV Cultura, a public-owned television station. TV Cultura was known as the most diverse station in Brazil in the 90's and focused on children content with little to no censoring on its imported content, such as Pingu's.
The funny thing is those episodes are banned by adults because their distorted views couldn’t let it aired. However, a kid which doesn’t have spoiled views on the world’s would see those parts differently and wouldn’t even think about alcohol nor politics. Murphy might be kicking me in gym class if stuff on tv wasn't banned.
well it depends on how you raise your kids and what your culture is. I'm an American who watched the censored version and the stuff in it really doesn't bother me. I like the drunk episode. I don't mind his mother hitting him but I don't really think that should be in a kids show. Different people think differently, though. Some might think that's wrong and some might think it's okay.
