PA.I.D.K1 Route Planning

Welcome and thank you for watching The ACS Library! Today's video moves us to the Cross-Country Flight Planning portion of the ACS. We cover Route planning, including consideration of different classes and special use airspace (SUA) and selection of appropriate and available navigation/communication systems and facilities.
More specifically, in this video we will explain:
Selecting the route checkpoints, considering hazards and obstructions,
Filling out a VFR Navigation Log,
Frequency Selection,
and VOR Navigational aids.
It should be noted that I clip Provo's Delta Airspace!! I forgot to mention this in the video, and only noticed after posting it. After Spanish Fork CTAF (122.9), we should change to frequency 125.3, contacting Provo's tower prior to transitioning this Delta airspace. Upon receiving frequency change, we may then contact Approach on 118.85.
I apologize if this has caused any confusion!

Just a minor correction. The ICAO Form to file a flight plan is 7233-4 instead of 2733-4 as stated. But thanks always for the videos

First congratulations for the new intro music. I'm so thankful for all these valuable videos you made. I was waiting for this one. I'm going through the ACS step by step. I failed my checkride because I haven't gone through it. Please keep sharing your knowledge so everyone would get this helpful in there journey. How many video in a week you will be able to share?

I’m sure you’ll knock the checkride out of the park this next go. In my opinion, the Private Pilot checkride is the toughest!
Unfortunately I’ve become pretty slow at getting these videos out. Life takes over like that sometimes, but I am hoping to pick the pace back up soon. I’ll shoot for one to two a week at the moment!
