      Thank you Andre!
      Andre, I believe that you asked a question a few months back on that video where we use a calculator to find the crosswind component. I did not understand the question fully. I was curious if you’ve gotten an answer!

    On the slide about wind around 6:05, it says more time. I think it should say less time. Unless it was in reference to a student pilot looking to build time.. This library is awesome by the way. GREAT JOB! and many thanks

      You're right, I worded that one pretty poorly haha. I meant more free time to enjoy the destination, but it definitely looks instead like I'm under the impression that tailwinds slow one down now. Oops!

    @theacslibrary4404 why did you initially suggest a cruising altitude of 5,500’ MSL? You update that figure later but that altitude is less than pattern altitude at Spanish Fork and might put the plane near 500’ AGL for some of the route. I know that’s within the regs since the flight path is over uncongested areas but that seems extremely low in any case.

    Question if the terrain is 2000ft AGL at what altitude should I be for VFR maneuver on a heading of east without following VFR par 91.159 ?

    • @theacslibrary4404
      @theacslibrary4404  3 года назад +1

      Hello @gaspica355
      FAR 91.159 does not require a specific heading at altitudes below 3,000’ AGL, so you generally won’t need to follow it for maneuvers.
      To answer your question, this will depend on the maneuver being performed.
      For instance, ground reference maneuvers will be performed between 600 and 1000’ AGL for instance. So we would want to enter the maneuver and maintain our altitude at something between 2,600 and 3,000’ MSL.
      Stalls are to be completed no lower than 1,500’ AGL for a single engine land aircraft, so we might choose a minimum altitude of 4,000’ MSL to give us a little buffer as we complete the maneuver.
      The target altitudes will be listed in the Airplane Flying Handbook or ACS under the skills section for each maneuver.
      I hope this explanation helps! Good luck!
